Thankyou Steve, And they led me to: Heb 8:7 For if that first (covenant) had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second. and, Matt 9:13"But go and learn what this means: 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Thanks again, for reminding me of Jesus great love for us. deb |

26 | Not my will? | Rom 5:6 | coffee | 58877
Dear Bartay, Please do not misunderstand me for I am not trying to attack you - You have contradicted yourself in your first sentence. Maybe you see 'follow' and 'free will' as two different things. Do you understand that Jesus had a choice? Do you understand that Jesus chose to obey His FATHER? To follow, to obey is to choose to do so. If you choose to follow you are following the will of GOD. If you choose not to you are following your own will. It seems to me you have agreed with Tim but just use a different language. Ah I just read a previous post and it would seem that you believe Jesus didn't have a choice. Do you not have a choice with your own earthly Father? Do you think your Father loves you more than GOD? Dear Bartay it is a choice and GOD already knows the choice you will make. HE knows and loves you to your very core. As Melanie here in the forum put it, HE is not after you with a baseball bat (or something like that), it is only us humans that do that. May HE bless you always Bartay, luv deb |

29 | What does this verse mean? | 1 Tim 2:15 | coffee | 58790
Hello Melanie, Which post are you asking about? For my walk, I employ Romans 14 and 15. Dogmatism often comes from weaker faith - I am certainly not saying 'as a result', please don't misunderstand me. My wish is to never upset another Christian and so if someone becomes dogmatic or bullish I simply bow out - a bit like the way Jesus would leave the scene if it did not suit GOD's plan. Melanie, you do well to stay in GOD's love, May HE always bless you through your faith in Jesus. deb |

33 | Identifying the born again moment | 2 Cor 13:5 | coffee | 58774
Hello Dalprad, I agree here with Kalos. Have faith that GOD's work in you will be competed over your life and that HIS Spirit can renew you daily. Let this not be a dilemma for you because whether you live or not live in Christ is a decision made everyday of your life, and know that you can not be snatched from Him after GOD has given you to Him. When we get married we may remember our wedding day but each day we must decide whether to live as a married person or a single person. May GOD bless you always, deb |

38 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | coffee | 58665
Hello Melanie, Many things Paul said used to upset me too because I received man's interpretation, but once I got man out of my head and just prayed and read I started to see what Paul says in a very different light - that is in unity with Jesus. I totally agree with Tim here. I love Paul now and find that he always has the right answer for me through GOD's Spirit of truth. I cannot blame Paul for our inability to understand him or take offense to him or the way his words have been abused by some. I blame Satan and our sin. And Melanie, I thank GOD for your wonderfully cheerful and loving spirit. through HIS love of us, deb |

40 | Tim, more help please?? | Gen 2:1 | coffee | 58560
Thankyou Tim! 2:1 Your note on the meaning of 'host' was interesting and quite possibly the key for me here, so I will further explore that one. 2:2 I agree with you here. 2:3 God doing other kinds of work all the time was part of my argument for saying that we may very well still be in the 6th day, ie as He has not yet rested. Does that make sense? I need you to test my thinking here - if that is alright. 2:5 Yep, I agree with you here. This starts a more detailed account of day 6, but Tim where does this account end? Thankyou so much for your help, deb |
