21 | Did Jesus go to hell after dying? | Ephesians | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26602
Hell and the lake are two different places. Hell is the first death and the lake of fire is the second death, where the Bible says Hell will be thrown into. Rev 20:14 and the death and the hades were cast to the lake of the fire--this is the second death; ********** Please don't put words in my mouth then jump in my case about your installed words. ********** Please show in the Bible where Satan isn't the ruler of hell. Hell is in this world and the Bible calls Satan the God of this world because Adam who used to have the godly power to subdue this world gave it to him. That's why God couldn't get some dirt and make another Adam, He didn't have any legal rights to earth any more. It was the legal property of Satan. |

Works won't do anything for man. If works could get man into heaven, then Satan himself could fake good works and when Satan got back into heaven, he'd thump God in the chest and say something like "shut your face God, I worked my way back up here" The last thing God needs in heaven is that redneck again.

And your throwing out statements without Biblical Scripture to back it up. ********* And that is because you can't. ********** Let all see that I'm trying to back everything I say so it won't be words that originated from me, but from God. ********** On the contrary, we will have a lot more of scripture backed statements that anyone can double check on. Nobody can double check on anything you say and that's just the way you want it. |

Eph 4:8 wherefore, he saith, "Having gone up on high he led captive captivity, and gave gifts to men," Eph 4:9 and that, he went up, what is it except that he also went down first to the lower parts of the earth? Eph 4:10 he who went down is the same also who went up far above all the heavens, that He may fill all things ********** In order for Jesus to fulfil the process, He had to go through what a sacrificial sheep would do, get put on the alter and be burned. For Jesus, this was Hell. You didn't read of Him being burned on the earths' surface, did you? |

Psa 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption. He had to pay the full price of our sins. God doesn't do anything half way. That's a human trait. The example Jesus provided followed the sacrificial lamb of the old testament. They didn't kill the lamb and let it lay there. It went on the sacrifice alter to be burned. Jesus had to go throught the whole process also. |

Rom 10:7 or, Who shall descend into the abyss? (That is, to bring Christ up from the dead.) **************** This clearly points out that Jesus descended into the abyss otherwise the Bible wouldn't have asked about bringing Him up from it. |

I already did. Look in Psalms for the word abyss in which David prophesied of Jesus decending into the abyss, the home of Satan.

I have heard him say with his own words, paraphrasing, that miricles are not for today, that they were only for the distant past and that speaking in toungues and other related Holy Spirit manefestations, he would not believe in. I will not enter into a definite assumption of what they are up to. My main argument with that person was making claims and not backing them up with scripture. If we are slaves of Christ, why do we tell God what we will believe in and what we won't and if He doesn't like it, tough luck. We are to come unto Him as a child, not a thick headed corporate lawyer. If the men who were baptised with the Holy Spirit where not seen to be rebellious when Jesus told them to take the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, how can we assume we have any authority to take what we feel like and tell God what not to give us. Whose the god here anyway? You keep referring to truths as if they originated from the Brownsville Revival. I've met the pastor of that church and I've never seen a pastor who was more careful about walking in total truth and never making a decision without authorizion from God. Consequently, the book of Acts is happening in your face down there, which would have Hank screaming at the top of his lungs for all to stop, simply because he didn't believe in it. I wasn't discrediting him I was just demanding that he back up the statements that several of the largest ministries were nothing more than liers because they didn't believe as his god, Hank. |

Your absolutely right, I humbly stand corrected. I just got into it with a Hank Hanagraph diciple who says that Jesus never decended into hell, but wouldn't provide scripture backup. At the end, I suggested all to take my tip and demand backup from all claims. May God richly bless you for your wisdom, and I take your instructions and am wiser still, bless you.

There you go again Acting like a farmer..... Shoveling fertilizer out trying to get people to swallow it. I said show me some scripture to back up your claims. Words and opinions without the word of God backing them up might make your god, Hank proud, but it saddens me to see someone who wants to waste their whole life adamantly spreading falsehood. I hope anybody who reads this takes a tip from me to make any body making claims who refuses to back them up with the Bible to see that person as a son of the father of lies. |

Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'" I need to clarify - I agree with you on the fact that we should discuss good doctrine, but not argue about it and not focus on it to the point of missing the simplicity of Jesus' plan for salvation. If you have your foundation locked it, you can chew on some good meat. To comment on your scripture, I found a site yesterday what behind the "depart from me, I never knew you" Satan, in the last days will create the one world church with the banner Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. but Jesus that Satan proclaims will not be the real Jesus. He will be protraid as merely a man that was a teacher, prophet and nothing more so that people who don't want to bow to anyone other than themselves will gravitate to this church. So when they say didn't we do this that and the other in your name, they didn't know that the Jesus they were refering to wasn't the Jesus that is Gods' only begotten Son. The site is www.Aaronsbiblestudies.com And I don't think I ever said discernment is chasing after the wind. I pray that all real seekers of the real God are provided wisdom and discernment to divide the truth from Satans' deceit. There you go, Satans aternatives are what I was getting at as the definition of Chasing after the Wind. Glad to see we'er on the same sheet of music. Keep up the good work brother and may God in Jesus' name bless you indeed and enlarge your territories and deliver you from evil that you may not cause pain. |

Hank Hanagraph emphatically does not believe in the power of the Holy Spirit like miricle healing, slain in the spirit, nothing. His main ministry is to cause division and unbelief in the body, no wonder your messed up. A scripture that backs me up is Rom 10:7 Who shall go down to the abyss, that is, Christ out of the dead to bring up. KJV Rom 10:7 or, Who shall descend into the abyss? That is, to bring Christ up from the dead. draweth nigh unto Sheol. Psa 88:4 I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help, Psa 88:5 Cast off among the dead, Like the slain that lie in the grave, Whom thou rememberest no more, And they are cut off from thy hand. Psa 88:6 Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the deeps. Psa 88:7 Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, And thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah NOW I've provided verses to back up my point but I don't see any verses offered by you to back up your point. How about providing some C Vu Play? |

38 | When should a person leave a church? | Ephesians | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26464
If God did, then I hope you've learned to hear His voice so that you know when it's God and not Satan. But I seriously doubt that God would lead any Christian to the church examples I described earlier. You asked when it would be a good time to leave. God led me to that control freaks church for a season, but when I saw in the scripture that his control freak attitude and hate for the Holy Spirit was equivilent to witchcraft, I was outa there. The Bible clearly states Walk not in the council of the ungodly. If your comm. line is what it should be, you'll know. If you have a question mark in your mind, work on the comm. line. If you read the Bible enough, you'll realize EVERYTHING you encounter in life has some guidence for how to handle it somewhere in the Bible. Ya gotta seek, then you'll find.

Sure, the Bible. Get a Strongs or other concordance and look it up. You will find it and it will get you used to using one. If your not going to believe just because I don't have scripture and verse memorized your walking on shaky ground. Getting to heaven is really pretty simple, but I see so many people, not saying your doing this, that spend their whole lives splitting hairs and miss the simplicity of the gospel that , make Jesus, the devine Christ, your lord and caller of all your shots, read, meditate and pray on the Bible every day, your in. I am trying keep it simple and that takes up most of my time. Satan loves people spending all their energy chasing after the wind, as Solomon says and totally miss salvation.

Yes He did. He had to pay the full penalty for our sins. Then, the good part, He was raised up, grabbed Satan and drug him around making a public specticle of him in front of his subserviants.
