21 | GOD Jealous | Ex 20:3 | TheCurtMan000 | 182983
Yes, you will be making God jealous. In the Old Testiment, within the book of Exodus (2nd book of the bible) Chapter 20, starting at verse 3, God said (I'm quoting this from the International Childrens Bible), "You must not have any other gods except me. 4)You must not make for yourselves any idols. Don't make for yourself anything that looks like something in the sky above or on the earth below or in the water below the land. 5)You must not worship or serve any idol. This is because I, the Lord your God am a jealous God. A person may sin against me and hate me. I will punish his children, even his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 6)But I will be very kind to thousands who love me and obey my commands." As stated by Kalos, 2nd Timothy 2:5 is also a good verse to look into. So no saints, no images and no idols. If you'd like to discuse this further in detail, my email is: TheCurtMan000@Aol.Com
22 | Virgin Mary | Ex 20:2 | TheCurtMan000 | 182943
1.) Should we worship Mary? NO!! Pretty much for the reason that you stipulated. 2.) Can the devil use Mary's image? Of Course. Scripture tells how he has used animals, fallen angels, illusions and many other tricks in the book to 'distract God's people'. 3.) God's disappointment in us? Any particular reason you believe that God isn't disappointed in the fallen state of Man? He flooded the earth; Talked about killing the children of Israel; and will watch His Son go to war with His creation because we will dare take up arms against the Savior of the world. But Glory be to God that mankind will not be judged collectively, but individually. Individually speaking, God isn't disappointed in all of us. His people, His church, His redeemed, have our sins cover over by the blood of the lamb. Any particular reason why you asked three questions that you seem to already know the answer to??
23 | salved? | Joel 2:32 | TheCurtMan000 | 182886
It's amazing how identical our testimonies are. Like you I have, for a time, and because of my actions, second guessed my salvation. I leanded heavily on that verse that God started a good work in me and will see it through to completion. I also used it as an excuse to continue being the life of the party. But in my case, I became the life of the party just so I could crash that party later on. Someone once parralled Gal. 5:17 this way. There is a dog fight. You show up with two Pits. They square off one against another. Which one wins?? The one that you consistantly feeds. He's healthier; quicker; and faster. For me, the more that I follow the adversary ways, the better I became at it. Then one day I sat down and counted my blessings. I mean I REALLY counted my blessings. I saw God's blessings. He saved me from death, both physical and spiritual. I use to smoke weed, not any more. I got mixed up with alcohol, superseded that with crack cocain. All pasttense. The last time I was in court, they wanted to give me thirty-five yrs. One of the things that help straighten me out was the fact that I was going through God's patience like a child through ice-cream. I didn't want that. So I made up my mind to stop feeding the wrong dog. It wasn't easy at first, but the longer I did it, the easier it became. Pray more while God is still listening to your prayers; work on your relationship with him while you're still physically able, because there will come a time when it will be too late to do so. Heaven and Hell is an exsisting reality, Matt. 25:31-46 is a reality yet to exsist. Don't get caught up on the left hand side. It is the things that you have done that will put you in a better position to understand the person who comes behind you who second guess their salvation, who spent decades playing around with God. Be in a position to help that person by being an example in which they could follow. God wants to help you to achieve this goal, but there have to be an effort made on your part.
24 | Jacob fights with God | Gen 12:1 | TheCurtMan000 | 182879
According to Gen. 12, Jacob was in a fearsome state of mind. He sent word of his coming to his brother, and his brother came out to meet him....with 400 men. Given the circumstances of their departure; that wasn't sounding to comforting. Jacob devised a plan and acted on it. Expecting trouble, Jacob devided up his belongings into two camps so that one might survive if the other one was attacted. Personally; at times, I'd rather face down any AND everybody else other than my adversary, including God. Jacob might have been feeling the same way. But scripture dosn't indicate this, neither does it indicate that at the forefront of this confortation that Jacob knew he was wrestling with God, but even if he did, Jacob knew that God wasn't going to kill him and his family, Esau on the other hand might do just that, at least in Jacob's mind he might.
25 | who are the sons of God | Gen 6:2 | TheCurtMan000 | 182846
It's to my understanding that the 'sons of God' in this particular verse is referring to the decendants of Seth.
26 | Need chapter and verse of seek ye first | Matt 6:33 | TheCurtMan000 | 182831
It sounds like Matt. 6:33 KJV: 'But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.' Also, there's this website: www.studylight.org. They have a number of bibles; commentaries; and concordences that can all be read on line. A great resource to be aware of. |

27 | husbands and wifes | John 10:27 | TheCurtMan000 | 182819
Actually they will BOTH be held accountable. If they are both Christians, then they both have the responcibility of knowing God's will and being obedient to it. Study to show thyself approved. The husband is SUPPOSE to be the 'Head of the household', the 'Spiritual Leader' If he misleds his household, he will be held accountable. Althought the wife is/was being obedient to her husband, her first responcibility is her obedience to God. ACCOUNTABILITY WILL BE HELD FOR VOILATING THE WILL OF GOD, be ye saved or not. |

28 | explaining to middle school youth | John 14:6 | TheCurtMan000 | 182801
Just out of curiosity, what does, 'come to the Father' means? Ask a class full of kids this question and your answers will very. Mostly around 'getting into heaven', 'getting to know God', and so on. To keep this whole thing simple; Jesus was saying that the only way this is possible, is THROUGH ME. Not through doing good works, or being good. Not through simply studying the bible, "You carefully study the scriptures because you THINK that they give you enternal life. Those are the same scriptures that tell about me. But you refuse to come to me to have that life." Jesus is the Way we must follow; He is the Truth we must accept; He is the Life we must live and hope to live. There is no other way to obtain God's merit; There is no other way to get into heaven; There is no other way to come to know God the Father, except through God the Son. Unfortnatly I can not simplify this more than that. I hope this helps in some way. |

29 | What is your favorite Bible edition? | Ps 119:105 | TheCurtMan000 | 182773
I don't know if you're ready for this one but my favorite bible started out being the John MacAuthor Study Bible, because of the reference; the commentary notes; so forth and so on. But it was just replace with the Max Lucado's Hermie and Friends International Children's Bible, because of it's simplicity. I'm a strong believer in simplifying the complex for the new believer. Not everyone understand being saved by grace through faith. Max Lucado helps me to break it down to the level of explaining it to the new believer; or rather for thoes who haven't graduated to meat.
30 | Hating your parents, what does this mean | Luke 12:51 | TheCurtMan000 | 182738
'The cost of Discipleship' Hi, I'm The CurtMan. Luke 12:51-53 is an example of my life. My mother had five kids, my baby sister was ALWAYS my partner in crime. To say that we got into trouble together would be an understatement. When I became a Christian, that drove a wedge between us. I could nolonger continue to do the things we were doing, and she couldn't stop. Luke 14:26 Isn't telling us to hate our relatives, but that our love for our Lord should out weigh our love for our relatives so much so that in camparison it appears to be hatred. I love my sister, I always will, but I love Jesus more; and because of that my sister and I nolonger see eye to eye on things.
31 | why no law between Adam and Moses? | Rom 5:13 | TheCurtMan000 | 182590
Genesis 3:22-23 Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us. to know good and evil. And now lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat and live forever" therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. To say that man was not held unaccountable for their actions would be incorrect. God held us accountable for our actions. The Law was yet to be written on stone tablets, but it was already written in our hearts and on our minds. If you continue to read through Chp.4 of Gen. You'll see that God held Cain accountable for the murder of his brother. If there were no law, there wouldn't be a need for such an action. If there were no law, there wouldn't be a need for Cain to lie about the whereabouts of his brother when asked. |

32 | Careful use of one's freedom | Rom 15:1 | TheCurtMan000 | 182576
Didn't Paul also stipulate in Romans 15:1-2 that we, the stronger brother, ought to bear the scrupoes of the weak? Is this not done out of love for the weaker brother? Are we not oblligated to watch our walk as to not to cause the weaker brother to stumble? And if it means giving up a few freedoms that we may find harmless within ourselves, is it not worth it (At least according to 1 Cor. 15:58)
