21 | Does God hate or love sinners, or both? | Rom 5:8 | TRU4GOD | 43022
God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. Thank God for the new covenant of grace and mercy through Jesus Christ and His blood. We all have fallen short of God's glory, yet He has loved us with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3)
22 | How do we love those in sin | Rom 5:8 | TRU4GOD | 43019
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Matthew 19:19 honor your father and mother, and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'[ 19:19 Lev. 19:18] " You have to love your sister with the agape love of Jesus Christ (unconditional love). God loved you when you were in sin and He still forgives you when you fall short of His glory, so He commands us to do the same, but you can only do that through the Holy Spirit and His power. Ask God to help you to forgive and love her. The bible says, "by love and kindness have I drawn thee (Jeremiah 31:3)" You can't be a witness and be judgmental. Your sister will feel the resentment and in no way is that drawing her closer to God. |

24 | How can God let us go through pain? | John 11:35 | TRU4GOD | 43016
God has promises for those that believe and healing is certainly one of them. On the other hand, God also gave us a free will. He doesn't make us believe, there is a choice. Even when we choose to believe, are faith in His Word concerning healing is tested. The word of God says that the trying of our faith worketh patience. Our job as a believer is to believe no matter what comes our way. You can't believe today and tomorrow say, well maybe it's not for me, because then you have canceled out your faith and the word cannot work. The word works, God is real and true and His word will not return unto Him void (Isaiah 55:11). Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). I don’t know if your friend is saved or not or if the parents are saved, but it is so much easier I think to believe in healing when you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and trust has been established, therefore, you can believe in someone you trust easier than believing in a stranger. You can always pray that they come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and be saved and through salvation their faith will line up with the Word of God regarding healing. This principle works for not only healing, but any promise God has given.

27 | The Ordination of Women | Joel 2:28 | TRU4GOD | 43011
This topic is really controversial from the standpoint of 1 Corinthians 14:34 As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. The next verse is a cross ref of 1 Corin. 14:34. 1 Timothy 2:11 A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. The Scriptures nowhere state that women should not preach. But Paul told the women at that particular time to keep silent. 1 Cor. 14:33 reads, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.” These women must have been out of God’s order and making confusion. So Paul commanded them to keep silent that the confusion might be stopped. The men also were making some confusion, and Paul told them to keep silent in the church when there was no one to interpret (see 1 Cor. 14:28). In 1 Tim. 2:12, Paul says, “I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, . . . for Adam was first formed, then Eve.” To my mind he was here reproving those women who were usurping authority or ruling over their husbands and others, which is not consistent with the Spirit of Christ. I was told that the custom back then was that the men would sit on one side of the sanctuary and the women the other. The women would try and ask their husbands questions across the church which caused a disruption. (This is no defense since it is not documented by facts; just a comment.) The second scripture clarifies the first that they were talking in church. My understanding it has nothing to do with preaching the gospel Eph 4:11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers. Deborah was a prophet. You have to be called in order to be a prophet. Joel 2:28 And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.. Well the only other conviction I have is that the Co-Pastor of our church is a woman and a powerful woman of God at that. She has spoken things in my life that have come to pass. And the flow of her messages from God bears witness with my spirit. Her husband is Pastor. They have a team ministry. I know God’s presence is in our church and where Jesus is, that is where I will be. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28). |

28 | Speaking in tongues? | Acts 2:1 | TRU4GOD | 42970
That is certainly correct. The scripture below notes that you can be saved and have not yet received the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:11 "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off; for all whom the Lord our God will call." Acts 19:1 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." 3 So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?" "John's baptism," they replied. 4 Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." 5 On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve men in all. The only thing that will hinder you from receiving one of God's many gifts is sin, ignorance, doubt and unbelief. Pray that God will give you peace concerning His promise. What gift have you ever denied? It is a powerful tool to build up your spirit, to war against the trials of your faith, the spirit prays for things are minds have not yet conceived. Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. MOST OF ALL, the devil doesn't know a thing. I call it covering all bases. |

29 | husband wants to leave marriage | Gen 1:1 | TRU4GOD | 42965
I believe prayer is the answer to petition God for reconciliation in the marriage. As a believer according to God's word, you have power to speak God's word concerning marriage and know that it is God's will. Seek godly counsel, like your Pastors to help you through this time. You can't force anyone against their will, but ask your husband if he is willing to give it a try. Depending if your husband is saved or not, in 1 Corin 7:15 "But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace." I BELIEVE DIVORCE SHOULD NOT BE A PART OF A CHRISTIANS VOCABULARY BECAUSE IT IS CONTRARY TO GOD'S WORD unless due to adultery. Matthew 5:32 "But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery." Even is such cases I believe that reconciliation through forgiveness can heal a marriage. Pray, pray, pray and continue in the faith of God's word, He will comfort you and strengthen you. God will order your steps and honor His word to deliver your husband. Obviously his heart is hardened, pray that God will give him a heart of flesh, that truth will be revealed in his life and that he will come back to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Remember, God will not override a person self-will, but He is obligated according to His word to do all that can and will be done to get that person to change. I hope this helps. God bless. |

30 | CAN YOU REMARRY THE SAME SPOUSE | Deut 24:4 | TRU4GOD | 42963
1 Corinthians 7 10 But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband 11 (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife. ------------------------------------------------- I can't help but wonder why some of the responses are only coming from the Old Testament. We no longer live under the law, but under grace through the faith of Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:4 4 If you seek to be justified and declared righteous and to be given a right standing with God through the Law, you are brought to nothing and so separated (severed) from Christ. You have fallen away from grace (from God's gracious favor and unmerited blessing). |
