21 | Why does this happen?????? | Bible general Archive 1 | TOFT | 50797
Kalos, What I had meant was that God knows why it happens...and it some cases,...I said it "COULD" which means it is possible...that it can help the child in the future...though I personally don't see how...but God is the one who knows why it happens or as others say "why does he LET it happen"...seems like they are only trying to make God unjust by imply that he LETS it happen. 22 | "need" for baptiam | Bible general Archive 1 | TOFT | 50991
I would like to add another thought to Mark 16:16...which part of the verse tells us how to be saved? Which part tells us what will condemn us? Now we are discussing whether or not baptism saves right? Which part should we look to, to see if it saves us? It is very simple, it says AND...it's a VERY clear verse...just read it. You all still remind me of Naaman...except he humbled himself and did the will of God. Through HIM, TOFT |

24 | Are the Nephilim descendants of Adam? | Gen 6:4 | TOFT | 11674
Hi, Yes they are descendants of Adam and Eve. Everyone is, because Adam and Eve were the first humans. Look at Number 13:32-33 "So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." Apparently they are human giants in Numbers and I think that they are human giants in Genesis too. So if they're humans they came from Adam and Eve, whom God created. TOFT |

26 | What about repentence though? | Gen 15:6 | TOFT | 51000
Ok...I've heard that without repentence we cannot be saved, but what you say is that faith alone saves us. So how can this be? Through HIM, Toft |

27 | What about repentence though? | Gen 15:6 | TOFT | 51006
What about Luke 13:3? "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." KJV Doesn't Jesus say that without repentence we will die? What about Acts 2:38 that tells us "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins" Without our sins remitted can we be saved? Through HIM, TOFT |

28 | What about repentence though? | Gen 15:6 | TOFT | 51034
How can something lead us to salvation and not be a part of salvation...I am not understanding that. Luke 13:3 says that without repentence we will perish (not saved) so doesn't that mean we need it? In Acts 2:38 Peter tells us to repent. Didn't Jesus say that whatever Jesus bound on earth will also be bound in Heaven? So isn't repentence involved in remission of sins? Through HIM, TOFT |

29 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | TOFT | 12256
Hi, You have to consider there may have not been any children there. And if there were maybe they were older and involved in the sins of Sodom. Though I WILL NOT question God's judgement, because He is Just and it a WHOLE lot smarter than me. TOFT |

30 | Was it Paran or Kadesh Barnea? | Num 13:3 | TOFT | 11569
Hi, I think the Wilderness of Paran is in Kadesh Barnea. Look at Numbers 13:26 which reads, "they proceeded to come to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel in the wilderness of *Paran*, at *Kadesh*; and they brought back word to them and to all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land." 34 | Cherubim | Ezekiel | TOFT | 11584
Hi, We as humansa make images of things. This would be an image of men. Though not correct, because angels seem to be adults (Look at Genesis 18:2, 22 and Genesis 19:1), this is the image of the artists. The artists are trying, I believe, to make an image of innocense. TOFT |

35 | married men | Matt 5:32 | TOFT | 11765
Hi, I wouldn't reconmend it. What is it going to lead to? Marriage? If he gets a divorce (for any other reason than adultery) and that person marrys him it is adultery. And the Bible says adulterers go to hell. I would not reconmend it. This person is married and shouldn't even think of it. Marriage is binding and is sacred. It makes two people into one. I would classify as a date with a married man as adultery, because the man/woman is probably lusting after the other person. Hope this helps, TOFT |

38 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Mark 3:28 | TOFT | 11321
Hi All, One who commits suicide is both a murderer and a selfish human. The Bible condemns murder and says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and *murderers* and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Though nothing is to hard for the LORD (Jeremiah 32"17). The LORD is the judge, I am not. God will say if he or she who commits suicide is going to Heaven or Hell, I will not. TOFT |

39 | The message at the wedding at Cana? | John 2:1 | TOFT | 11582
Hi, I don't really see a message in these verses other than this was Jesus' first sign. This sign was put into the book of John that we might believe (John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.").
