21 | Will anyone die on the new earth? | Is 65:20 | Pemican | 14070
Steve, I can see why this is confusing. Isa 65:17 seems to refer to the eternal state when the "new heaven and new earth' exist, but the rest of the passage is millennial. Rev 21:4 is the eternal state. No one dies in eternity. In the millennium, life spans are greatly extended, (with the possibility of not dying at all) but death is still a possibility. 22 | Was Satan's throne only in Smyrna? | Rev 2:13 | Pemican | 14051
I think you ment to say Pergamum rather than Smyrna, Steve. I take the letters to the seven churches to be literal and historical rather than prophetical in nature, and therefore would answer that at that time Satan's headquarters was in Pergamum. However, he moves around as necessary to suit himself and the historical circumstances. In Ezekiel 28:12-19, for example, there is a lamentaion over the "King of Tyre" who is clearly Satan and not the human King of Tyre. So in this passage he is associated with Tyre. I think there are other passages dealing with Babylon, Egypt, etc. Also at this time in history he still has access to Heaven, so I wouldn't try to pin him down to a specific address (or URL as the case may be). BTW, I am new here to this forum, just joined today, and it looks to be a good place to be. In His Grace, Pemican |
