23 | Folks, It's Time for A Change! | Phil 2:14 | Nehemiah | 5035
I agree. The part that is so sad to me is that after having really read all of the responses on this topic I noticed that most of us, oneness and trinitarians have the same concept. We just are classifying it differently. Pretty sad. I am just happy that we all abide in HIM!!!! Love you guys. PEACE
24 | Jesus name baptism fulflls matt 28 | Matt 28:19 | Nehemiah | 4872
Where do we get this formula business. We are adding alot to the Word. And where does this Trininty term come from. I am still searching to find that in the Word. Can you help me?
25 | Jesus name baptism fulflls matt 28 | Matt 28:19 | Nehemiah | 4871
I loved reading the previous response that you posted. I apologies that this issue has, once again turned into a debate when we are clearly instructed not to debate the Word Of God. I feel blessed because of being attacked so many times about the Truth that I know. I know that the Holy Spirit is not a liar, and therefor, if I have received the Holy Spirit, with infalible proof, that I must be doing something right. Your previous posting gave me the food that I needed to feel full. My concern is, since "Christians" can respond in such an aggressive manner as some have in relation to this topic, is the Holy Ghost working in our lives. Thank you for your loving tone that you have excuded in your writing. I know that the Lord will prosper your footsteps because you are sharing truth with us all. I love you in Christ Jesus and pray that the Lord sends us councel as wise and loving as you. I ask this in the name of Jesus. |

26 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | Nehemiah | 4861
Wow. I am sorry if I affended you or have written long winded reponses. It is just that I got excited about people being interested and passionate about the subject of Baptism. Honostly, I know that as long as we all love the Lord Jesus and stay in His word then we shall all have victory. Baptism is instructed in the Bible for all who want Salvation. So is the recieving of His Holy Spirit. Instead of being offensive we should all instruct with pleasure and willingness. It is wonderful to have forums for sharing the Word. When I implied, "put not your trust in man" I was quoting the Bible. I was not implying that you or anyone should not receive instruction but the only salvation and teaching that I am intersted in is that of the word of God. And to reslove your impication, I am not Penecostal. I am of no denomination. I am a child of God. I love my Savior. The truth is that man does error. The Word explains that many will teach in error. I am not implying that whoever you were quoting was in error. That was not the point at all. Let's just all love the Lord Jesus and Study to Show Thy Selves Approved. My question is, can you please show me, scripturally, were we are instructed to teach the "trininty" or worship the "trininty for that matter. |

27 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | Nehemiah | 4679
Charis, I respect your interpratation of the scriptures as they are accurate. I received the same understanding. I wish that we wouldn't catagorize beliefs and interpritations such as some who debate this topic. The approach taken here (meaning in this dialogue) is wrong. Lets not debate. We are all on to something. Lets all compare notes, so to speak. The Lord Jesus is intending for us (all three of us who have been invlolved in this question answer session). The mistake that the gentleman is making is quoting another man's ministry. The answer is not in man. We all error. The truth is in the word. The word does not contradict itself. While Jesus was baptising he baptised in the name of the Father, son and Holy Ghost. There is no interpretation needed. But, once he released the authority to his apostle he was to baptise in the name of Jesus. How could folks have baptized in Jesus Name before Jesus. That is not a contradiction but rather a historical trail that leads to new testament foundation. The bible explains that we are to go out and "preach Jesus" to all the world. What does that mean? That means, in my understanding, just what it says. To preach Jesus. It never, NEVER says "go and preach the trinity. I am not disputing nor will I dispute with any one the existance of the trinity. Don't have to. The trinity is symbolic of one spirit. We need to come together and get a REAL UNDERSTANDING of what Jesus wants us to learn. The only regret that i have is that there are divisions among those of us that really want to the truth and to live for out Lord. By us putting lables on ourselves, such as "Jesus Only", Trininty, etc. we create a desire to be RIGHT. My hope, as beleiver and follower of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, without denomination, is that we all share our biblical knowledge and create less interpretations instead of more. My advice to the gentleman who responded to my question is that you put your trust in no man and don't let another interpret for you. Although I am not "JESUSE ONLY" whatever that could mean... I am babptized in the name of Jesus, who is the father, son and Holy Spirit according to the Word. And everything I do is in the Name Of Jesus. Take that as literally as one wants, or as inspecifically. Matt 9:9 As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector's booth; and He *said to him, "Follow Me!" And he got up and followed Him. Even Matheuw was intsructed to Follow Him. Praise the Lord for Saints who are activly seeking the truth. I love you guys in the name of our Lord. |

28 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | Nehemiah | 4603
Jesus said, I come to you in my father's name. If his name was Jesus then what was his father's name if he comes in his father's name. He also said that He was the word manifest, he was the right hand of the father, etc. Get the correlation. Jesus came in his fathers name. So what other name could we be baptized in besides the name of Jesus.
29 | Can a woman speak in church? | 1 Tim 2:15 | Nehemiah | 4599
I know that the Bible says, he grants some to be pastors, some prophets, etc. So why wouldn't he. People tend to point out the scripture that gives instructions regarding who can be a deacon, elder, etc. But, my opinion is that it was not intended to outcast women from the pulpit. I beleive that there are many women with an evangelic gift. I do however beleive that a man should be the "head of the church" since he is the head of the household. But I beleive that if the Lord Jesus has granted any of us the gift to evangilise, preach, or teach, or whatever gracious gift, we (woman or man) must utilize it before the church and elders (under thier guidance).
