Dear Cheri, I can see your point, and of course I know you are right. But adding the required patience for this process to take place to the circumstances I am living with, which, by the way, won't give me neither the luxury of having enough time to study all the theology I need, the "Disneyland with foundations" stands as the most appealing "option". Dear Cheri, I think you ask that because you have not paid attention to my recent questions. The difficulties on this struggle have to do with the basic fact: Why would He create a sinful person (like me)? This doesn't sound too perfect to me. So, in the level of relationship, it is also clear that I have nothing to offer either. What could a sinful person have to offer to a God who, if I stood in His presence I would die? (except with a ressurrected body). So, it makes death as an unavoidable issue. Daily. Because, after all, even with the "imperfection" mentioned at the beginning, if there is anything good, it obviously comes from Him. Excuse me for the "flare" word. It was a typo. I meant "fare". Concerning the "Yesterday is too late" is that I can't wait to get out of this unproductive existence and get in touch with the "real thing" - soon. In your analogy, the "Disneyland with foundations"... Maybe the following verse will do: 1 Corinthians 13:12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. Finder |

Dear Cheri, It is kind of you to be interested in this. But I really don't believe it would be of any spiritual benefit telling you the story. It would only be an interesting psychological thriller as some say, specially as some psychologists I know say. But I was struggling to defend the integrity of my conscience and the only small measure of thuth I knew, and a small faith. My lack of knowledge of the revelation of God's attributes and character didn't help in significant expression of love and faithfulness. (Not that I know much of it now. As my previous note may indicate). Finder |

Hi Cheri, I even rehearsed how I would answer your questions and show you how I "flared"... and for a moment I forgot that I was rehearsing to tell my story on a public site... even though I am anonymous here.... Although I never had a premeditated reason for "flaring" in my 10-year "persecution". And it would be crazy to expose such a bleak picture in this site. And there isn't the remotest reason to do so. All I can say is that I came out with mere clean conscience. And I mantain my point, Paul got all the best gifts... Not because of the gifts themselves. But because of the knowledge of God he had through them. Even in the most "ordinary" gift, he got it better than anybody else: 1 Corinthians 14:18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. And, what is my "reaction" for that promise? Y E S T E R D A Y - I S - T O O - L A T E ! |

Thanks for the tips Cheri, I will take a look at e-sword and see how it works. By the way, your comment regarding the need of knowledge/answers and faith, leads me to ask you another question: What is in faith that makes it so central for pleasing God and have a relationship with Him? What is the essence, principle, nature, or virtue in it that makes it so necessary for walk, living, practice, salvation, and relationship with God? After all, the apostle Paul was knocked down by Jesus on the road, a light from heaven flashed around him and he heard Jesus talk to him. Then, some time later, he went up to the third heaven, which makes me think that he didn't need very much to exercise "faith". He KNEW and experienced things in a very "concrete" in a very "lively" way, with no time or need of trying to figure out what was going on between him and God regarding matters of relationship, sanctification, work, ministry, and I guess he even knew when he was going to die... (just a sudden consideration here...). Thanks again, Finder |

Hi John, When I got home last night, I read your message and lost the rest of energy that was left... Didn't even answer the message and went to sleep. The point here is - Don't get worried about me. If you get worried about me, I will get worried about you because you are worried about me, and this kind of thing is not gonna help us get ANYWHERE... But I look a quick look at how the picture looked like at the site here, and I noticed that you were having fun trying to jump a all with a rope with blazing fire in your back, or something... So I lightened up myself too... I think I will be able to answer your questions better in the future. Right now I need to check the material from Doc, I don't know if one day I will come to terms with that, but I never thought that I would have to learn theology to exercise my faith... But my mind is LOADED with questions and it is unavoidable to work on them. We talk, Finder |

Dear Doc, I may have not expressed the concern related to logic in a clear way. By no means I would minimize the relevance and necessity of taking logic in consideration. But what I meant is that that particular doctor I referred to, used some isolated points as he concluded his thoughts on Theodicy, and said that he was basing his conclusion on "logic", without providing a legitimate context where the laws of logic could be applied. Anyway, it was just an observation that I made, with the purpose of trying to get the indication of some name that would treat the matter with more "balance" and sensitivity, (for lack of better words). Thank you for your help, observations and encouragement. Finder |

Hello MJH, Excuse me for the delay in answering your message. It is like a breath of fresh air to see that you have an open mind and interest in investigating and discussing the "foundations or our existence". I myself didn't get into this with what seems to me, your more cheerful way in looking for the answers. As you mentioned, there is an ache in the heart, that in my case, demands some clarity of mind, to say the least. But that is not easy. I am glad my questions seemed meaningful to you. I myself am not very satisfied with them because there are so many details and implications involved and I have not been able to organize them in an ideal form. And they are just the basic aspects or points of ´"my question". Other details involved multiply every day. But I believe that what I have posted can indicate pretty much what my major concerns are. Sure, if you are still willing to offer such a generous help I would be very glad in sending the questions to you once at a time, as you wish. And excuse me if they sound a little strange, because for each detail to be presented I feel that I should include many other details accompanying it, so that it would imply exactly what I have in my mind. I guess the one that carries the most potential to touch in the core of the problem is the following: 5 b - Is it "sympathetic" for any human being to be born with no other chance but that of being sinful, evil, from sinful parents, in a sinful and cursed world, ruled by an evil being like Satan, not having any idea about what Adam experienced in the Garden of Eden? Thank you, Finder |

Dear John, I marvel at your kindness and frankness..... But the impressions you got from my questions that you included in the upper two parenthesis don't have anything to do with the pain in my soul that leads me to look for this answer. But I had not thought, neither can not guarantee that "my way" (which has not been understood by my questions) would stink or not... But "my way" is not the point. Keep enjoying your peace! It sounds beautiful! I will remember your comments. Thank you, Finder |

Dear Doc, Thank you for your suggestions. But how am I going to be able to identify which source on the Web is reliable concerning the views on Theodicy? How can absolute truth really be found on this issue? I just read one that used the law of logic to explain his views on Theodicy, and not only it sounded inconsistent and contraditory, but he didn't even substantiate the reasons why his "lógic" was "right" except for some superficial quotations that didn't hold water. I won't even quote them here because I have no interest that it comes to the view of the public. Thank you, Finder |

Thanks Doc, The words,"theonomy, anthropology, theology proper, hamartiology, soteriolgy, etc" sound too esoteric for my level and I do not have money now to buy a single piece of paper and an envelope to try to send a letter to heaven with my questions, "so to speak". I just took the time I should use for looking for a job now asking this question because I can't stop thinking about it. I thought a forum might explain why the Devil stepped in between me and God. And if my reasoning seems flawed to you, I can't do better. I can see by the mountain of golden books you mentioned and read, that you are in a much higher level of education than me and it seems that it would be useless for me to try to expect that some crumbs might fall from your golden table for me to eat. But I do thank you for showing how things work. Finder |

I have a question that I tried to ignore for a long time, but now I can't seem to think of any other thing. I am stuck with this one. I don't know how to present it very well but I will try. The best way I can think of formulating this question is asking them to you as if you were in the position of God Himself. Obviously you are not God. But I am not good with words and it seems the clearest way I can formulate this question. And I divided it by parts because I wouldn't be able to state the whole question in a single paragraph. 1 - If you had a son, would you present an opportunity for him to betray you, so that you could know what is in his heart, or you would just be concerned in providing to him convenient opportunities to strengthen his relationship with you? (God put the prohibited fruit in the Garden of Eden). 2 - Worse now. Would you allow a complete evil being like Satan, to go to this Garden and deceive your son? (Although here, Eve was deceived, not Adam). But nonetheless, offer the opportunity for him to be corrupted, and a stranger, and an enemy? Would you offer such a terrifying opportunity to your son? 3 - Would you allow Satan to be loose, tempting other angels and ruling the world, knowing that he came to steal, kill and destroy for as long as the world would last? 3 b - What right did Satan acquire to be allowed to exercise such freedom and power to proliferate evil, offence, destruction and oppression? 4 - Would you allow Satan to come to your presence? What would you owe Satan, to let him be in your presence trying to offend you and destroy your creation? 5 - Would you create beings that came from the loins of Adam that would have no option but to be naturally your enemies, born in corruption, and dead in their sinful nature? 5 b - Is it "sympathetic" for any human being to be born with no other chance but that of being sinful, evil, from sinful parents, in a sinful and cursed world, ruled by an evil being like Satan, not having any idea about what Adam experienced in the Garden of Eden? 5 c - Would it be just a question of mere DNA that human beings would be forced to be born in this fallen and miserable condition without having, each one of them, the first chance to choose from God or the fruit of the tree of Good and Evil in the Garden as Adam had? 5 d - Couldn't human beings be born as independent individuals, like angels, and have the opportunity to make their individual choices to follow God or not, instead of being forced to be born already dead spiritually, to live in a cursed world? Thank you for your attention. Finder |

I will take the two cents worth answer Mark. Although I am certain that it values a lot more to me. That is a very interesting view and it seems to describe the purpose of the book of Proverbs itself. That brought relief too. I am really thankful for that. Finder |
