21 | Christians Apostate Same As Anit-Christ? | 1 Tim 4:1 | Cody Mac | 206406
Um I believe people can come back after that, why? I was raised in a baptist church, through high school I turned agnostic and now I am working on a bachelors in Christian teachings. I think a simple answer to what can be forgiven is to look at what cannot. Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall no be forgiven him neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Everyone probably at some point has something really bad and dramatic happen to them and blame God and get angry at God and here we are told we can be forgiven but to do so against the Holy Ghot we cant, why? Because the Holy Ghost represents Gods grace and our salvation. To blaspheme or speak against it is to do so against our salvation. The Holy Ghost is what brings us the offering of salvation. |

22 | Christians Apostate Same As Anit-Christ? | 1 Tim 4:1 | Cody Mac | 206401
Apostasy is the act of forsaking your faith and God. In laymans terms to committ apostasy you would have to willingly say hey I dont accept this anymore and choose something different. In the end in 2 Thess 2:3 it says that many will committ it when the Antichrist comes. What you speak of sounds more like someone that has been tricked maybe by false teachings or backslid back into sin. Both are dangerous but are not apostasy and do not mean you are being an antichrist. To be antichrist is to say that Jesus is not of God and that God is not the supreme being. (1 John 4:3). To do that is to be of the spirit of the antichrist. This and apostasy go hand in hand as you can see. |

23 | Suffering For The Sake Of Christ? | 1 Pet 4:12 | Cody Mac | 206400
Your post confused me a little but I am going to give it a shot. As for marriage, it says in Amos Can two walk together except they agree. It can be difficult in a marriage if one is a believe and one is not, I am not married but in relationships alone there have been problems if I Get into one with a non believer. Suffering for Christ though? In that instance I would not say you are suffering for Christ in that it is his fault you are suffering but more that it is the person who does not believe who is the source of the suffering. If they believed there would not be a disagreement. There shouldnt be anything that makes you suffer to be doing the work of Christ, as a Christian I look forward to doing things for Christ and talking to people about him. Idk if that helps but the second part to your last question confused me most. Now the suffering for doing his works. In Matthew 10:16-23 Jesus warns of persecutions, (remember also in the same chapter verses 32-33) um these verse 16-23 talk about a time when it will be against the law to be a Christian during the Great Tribulation when the antichrist hold dominion over the world. Still people even here in America will more or less metaphoricly or actually spit in our face no matter what. But we are promised eternal life in the end and riches in Heaven. A Saved man or woman will be able to stand up to Christ even to death, Christ will give us strength. I would say that anytime someone talks down on you or torments you for doing works for Christ and being Christians then you are suffering for Christ. Even if your spouse talks bad about it and down on you for it, you are suffering for Christ. |

24 | weddings - where? | Bible general Archive 4 | Cody Mac | 206379
I do not recall verse saying where you had to have a wedding but I think the Bible focuses more on what it symbolizes and means to get married. Go here and see if this helps with your question and finding an answer, you probably should research it some more too. http://www.bibletexts.com/glossary/wedding.htm |

25 | Why God bless a Roman soldier over a Jew | Matt 8:5 | Cody Mac | 206377
Neither of the passages you refer to are of Jesus choosing to bless a Roman over a Jew. They are refering to Jesus healing someone of palsy, more importantly the centurion came asking for him to heal his servant but said he was not worthy to have Jesus under his roof so he asked im to merely speak it since he had full faith that Jesus could do it. Jesus did it by word of mouth alone because he was happy with the man great faith in him. Matthew 8:5-13, Luke 7:2-10. The verses of 7:28-29 Jesus is closing his illustraton of the two foundations. One on rock and one on sand. |

26 | What Happened To The Tribe Of Dan? | Rev 7:5 | Cody Mac | 206340
Ok let it be noted that there is speculation about this. For a time Ephraim and Manasseh are considered under Joseph, while clans they are not individual. So there are always 12 and never 13. By Revelation Dan is believed by some to have slipped into being idolators. So that to keep it 12 Manasseh is allowed to take their place as a tribe and to be one of the 12 mentioned in Revelation. Kings 18:30-31 And the children of Dan set up the graven image and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land./And they set them up Micah's graven image, which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh. Perhaps there are two seperate images or perhaps they tried to credit Micah with their inheritance instead of giving credit to God. Who knows. |

27 | Why is the Christian Church so divided? | Bible general Archive 4 | Cody Mac | 206338
Denominations? I am not sure why people think we need them, they are just dividers. If they were needed Jesus would have split his disciples up but instead he teaches that we are one body of Christ. Denominations are mans creation, someone at some time wanted to believe more strongly in certain parts of the Bible than others or in some cases they took it upon themselves to alter the Bible and what it says. Denomination is like religious racism, just like races clash so do denominations. 2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient. This verse says a servant of God will not strive when confronted. He will be ready to calmly teach and defend his views becuase they are from God. So shouldnt two people if they are servants of God be able to talk about the Bible in agreement? Amos 3:3 Can two walk together except they be agreed? |

28 | Jehovah's Witness said to a Christian | 2 Pet 2:1 | Cody Mac | 206337
Im not entirely sure what she might have meant but I will give it a shot. Reading the verses before it talks about how much the world is partaking in sin and verse 4 is a command for christians to come out of it. This all happening during the period of tribulation where the antichrist has hold over the world. Now dont go running off quoting me but this is the only thing I could imagine she would mean with giving you the verse. First I quote the verse. Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. If someone were to throw that at me after inviting them to church I would assume that they were tying to make it a metaphor by saying that the church they were being invited to was sinful. That said they are saying it is sinful and they are not going to it as this verse says to seperate from a sinful world or that they are trying to say you shouldnt. Idk. The best thing to do is just ask her, If God be for us who can be against us. |

29 | Is the world ending in 2012. | Rev 16:8 | Cody Mac | 206336
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels, of heaven, but my Father only. Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. The Bible is clear we won't know precisly when it happens but we are given signs to know the season that it will happen. Matthew 24:1-35. |
