searcher .. greetings to my fellow servants. I was amazed at the post left here by buddy234. but moreover I am amazed at the answer you gave. I clicked your name and read your profile but not the ID references. While it may seem noble to "not ask the experts" the theory eludes the blessings of that community hopechest called the Prophet, teacher, disciple, apostle, and minister. Please do not think I speak these words in anger: I say this in love and humility. Either I have mis-understood and need some reproach or you have overlooked a great importance. What if Peter, James, John, and the others had your outlook and chose to find the truth for themselves first, then come to Christ? please reply ... but first read acts 8:26-40 Thank you for your kindness and understandings. May a countless measure of God's blessings be upon you as you reason the word of the Lord allmighty, the God of Israel. |

23 | End times? | Revelation | joel k | 104343
iriandani ... I thank you for replying to this interrogative. But,can you explain your answer in a little more detail, please. Why do you believe "the revelation" was intended for an audience near the turn of the first century? ... ??? read it over their shoulders??? I believe the whole Word of God is intentionally written in a manner that the reader (past, present, or future) will conclude it is intended for themself and it is revelent to that time. Some annalist believe the Word of God's book of Daniel speaks of the USA when he writes about the Lion (England) and out from the lion came the wings of an eagle (USA) and he watched as they broke away from the lion. And as they came together they were given the spirit of a man. (this is not quoted... but it's should be close) I'd like to know what you are talking about ... near the turn of the first century .. thanks God blessings .. joel k |

24 | It isn't right to eat pig is it? | 1 Tim 4:4 | joel k | 104332
just a different point of view ... not to offend, but if you were talking to the president of USA would you call him George or mr. President? I am in no way worthy to address my Holy Father by His name. joel
25 | It isn't right to eat pig is it? | 1 Tim 4:4 | joel k | 104331
so .. thou shalt not bear false witnes .. shalt not covet thy neighbors wife... shalt not commit murder... thou shalt not eat a pig ( by this you will be seperated from other nations) oh, and ...ah my laws are given only to the nation of Israel and my Holy word is for them !!! come on .... think about what you are saying... who is the law given to? Don't confuse the commandments of God with the law of moses. |

Jesus said " it is not what a man puts into his mouth that defiles him, it is what comes out of his mouth. Think about how many millions of pounds of pork are eaten daily around the world ... if it were condeming to us, God would have included it in His commandments. For He knows the end before the begining. I believe the issues Moses had with pork related to the fact that they didn't use the curring processes like we do today, and since pigs root in the mud and manure, many people would become ill or even die from the tainted meats that were not cured. 30 | what is the darkness | John 1:5 | joel k | 103549
hello ... the darkness is not something you really want to know about. Oh how I wish I still had the innocence to ask such a question. If I could, that would mean I don't know what the darkness is, and unfortunately, I do. Let me tell you a true story ... When Divinche painted the famous portrait of the last supper it took him 6 months to study his first subject (person) for the face of Jesus, which was the first person at the table he painted. To study the subjects for the disciples it took the standard 3-4 weeks each. But when it came to the last disciple, Judus, he could not find a subject that would satisfy his artistic eye for the one that would betray Christ. Then a friend offered a suggestion. He said "why not look in the prisions", so he did and there he found the subject he wanted. And again it took him 6 months to study the subject's face for the portrait. Divinche was forbiden to talk to the prisioner, but when he was done he ask the man only for his name, as he had done for the rest of the subjects he studied. Surprized, the man answered " don't you remember me?" " I am the man you studied for Jesus, just over two years ago". " don't you reccognize me?" This is an example of how much we are changed by the darkness, disfigured forever, for turning of God. joel k |

33 | khuck ... thanks for your answers .. | Gal 6:17 | joel k | 103517
also I forgot to add ... I have dealt with this for years but only 2 months ago did I ever even hear the word stigmata. A friend gave me the movie and said I should watch it, but after learning what the word means, I can't watch it. I don't understand about those people who self induce these marks, because I truely wish I didn't have to. I know the purpose is not for me ... so I try not to think about the reasons or the pain, for I know that I am guilty, I am a sinner. And just like Paul I have a constant struggle with sin, a thorn in my side. But there are many sins passed over because of the love of forgivness. Does this make any sense to you? Joel k |

34 | khuck ... thanks for your answers .. | Gal 6:17 | joel k | 103516
khuck... sorry that it has been days since you wrote to me and I have not replied sooner. It looks like you took a little heat about this subject for me. Sorry... In reply tp your questions... 1. I equate it to my life because... I also bear on my body the marks of Christ. 2. like I said ... confirmation of who I am in Christ. 3. the bennifits are clear to me... forgivness... forgivness... forgivness. You may find this harder to understand than you are willing to admit, but there are some people who's life is predestine by God, as a guilt offering, to bring forgivness of sin, through Christ Jesus. The perfect forgivness only comes from Heaven, through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, but to those that are living in the here and now. There are many things Paul wrote about that he would have had no way of knowing such things if it were not revealed to him, like his own predestination. The marks he had on his body were not new to him, but he had aquired them throughout his lifetime, but seeing that they are the marks of Christ, he could clearly see that God has always had him included in His plan to be who he is now. Paul understood that no one would refer to his days before the encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus as a part of his life that God had determined to be. Because as mankind we natually think of the first part of Paul's life as being ... well not in step with God. And if that were true ... then predestiny has no real meaning. remember this ... if you don't take offense, then there is no offense. You are welcome to ask me any further questions you may have. And if you'd like to do that elsewhere and not on this forum, let me know. Thank you ... Kathy ... Joel k |
