21 | No man can see God and live! | John 14:6 | humility | 215063
Wow! Lionheart, I love tat text you gave me that settles all doubt for me; I know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. But that still does'nt answer the question, I need a text stating why were'nt the people consumed when they saw Him.
22 | Psalm 32:8-9 | Acts 16:6 | humility | 218460
This text tells me that, had the Holy Spirit not forbidden the Apostles to preach the word in Asia they would've done so. There's a time and a place for everything under the sun. God knew perfectly well why He did'nt want the Apostles to go to Asia. Did the people in Asia need to hear the gospel? Of course they did! The same way the lost souls around us today needs the hear this good news, but God does things in His own way and in His own time for His best interest as well as ours (His disciples). I played in many tournaments before this one but God is showing me a better way of reaching them. As a matter of fact, I even went to some of the games to support and cheer them on.
23 | Why did Paul do it? For conscience sake? | Acts 21:23 | humility | 217968
Thanks Doc, I guess that's why Paul had Timothy circumcised also? (Acts 16:1-3) |

24 | The Bible is a mirror! | Rom 3:23 | humility | 218661
As a matter of fact, if we really take a good look at ourselves, we'll soon recognize that were all patients. The only difference is the blood of Jesus and only because of His grace we're not consumed!(1 John 1:8-9; Lam 3:22-23) We all have weaknesses. Nobody's perfect! Any doctor who forgets this, is the most dangerous doctor in the hospital. I feel right at home when worshipping with patients. They teach me alot!
25 | Why not braided hair for women? | 1 Tim 2:9 | humility | 215225
Dear Azure, I think you read what I said just a little bit too fast. I said that Paul was NOT against the braiding of hair, I said He was against the style in which they did it. As they would braid their hair, they took melted pieces of gold and weaved it into their hair the same time. They also used gold as decoration for their hair. Paul thought all this was unnecessary. With the clothing issue, Paul did admonish the women to "adorn themselves with modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety;not with braided hair, or gold, or COSTLY array (expensive clothing)". Thanks for correcting me on the "tight-fitted" and "skimpy" situation. I might of taken it a little too far there. Plz forgive me. |
