21 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232738
Bradk, I sorry I meant to address that Paul will aways be a Jew (nationality) and that has nothing to do with him being converted to following and teaching the principles of Christ. So are you saying that when he was converted that he stopped keeping the Sabbath? Then Acts 18:4 must be addressed becuase it destroys your point. |

22 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232737
Bradk, My point is that the Sabbath was important to Jesus, alot of people believe that Sabbath was done away with. Now you pointed out that Jesus rose the first day of the week (based on what you wrote) Now a person can't get 3 days from Friday and end up with Sunday. In the passage of Matt 28:1 the Sabbath was on the seventh day. Yes Jesus came to preach the Kingdom of God. All I'm saying is that the Sabbath should be kept by all people not just "Jews" only Based on Mark 2:27 becuase he didn't day a particular group of people. Hope that clears things up.... Be bleassed |

23 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232726
John 7th Chapter it was a custom of the Jews to celebrate in Jersalem on the feast days (Lev 23rd chapter) by the way to save conversation the blood of Jesus did away with all of the sacrifices. |

24 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232725
When you say it was special for the Jews wouldn't it be important to Paul seeing that he was a Jew?? (blood-line) Well spoken they didn't feel like he did but my question is did he not based on what "they" believed a person can believe what they want but the truth is the truth. Which goes back to my original question did Jesus keep the Sabbath?? (Luke 2:41-42;Luke 22nd chapter; John
25 | Sunday Sabbath or not? | Ex 20:8 | elder4yhwh | 232722
Edb, Yes sir indeed the was doing the Lord's work on Sabbath and first of the week. To say he wasn't keeping the Sabbath is streching it seeing that he was a chief Pharisee from the tribe of Benjamin and the law was given to Isreal. Well then Acts 17:2 should be addressed as well as Acts 13. I think we can agree the Jesus was a Sabbath keeper (right?) To address your comment about him walking to far when the commandments were given (Old Testament they didn't need to walk that far seeing that the sactuary was always in the middle of the camp wherever they went. My second point is Jesus stated that the priest prfaned the Sabbath and they were blameless (Mat 12:5). Whenever healed a person on the Sabbath they (Pharisees) accused him of working, and he would respond be saying it was lawful to do good on the Sabbath. If that day wasn't so special why did they make a issue whenever he did something on that day? huummm.... |

26 | Where did Jesus do away with the Sabbath | Luke 6:5 | elder4yhwh | 232708
Beja, None the least (except anyone whom the truth as been revealed) When you know to do good and don't to that man it's sin (James 4:17) In the Ten people keep 9 out of the 10, I've always wondered why any one would pick out the Sabbath as oppose to the others The Pharisees chanllenged him on all of the commandemnts (10) and he defended each one of them which leads me to believe all of them were important. Paul himself pointed out that the commandments were holy, just and good. (Rom 7:12) Paul reasoned on the Sabbath as it was his manner (Act 17:2) In Acts he did it every Sabbath day (Acts 18:4) to persuade both Greeks and Jews and Pual himself was a follower os Christ. |

27 | Where did Jesus do away with the Sabbath | Luke 6:5 | elder4yhwh | 232704
Brad this is what I'm talking about! (being thourgh) Yes Hebrews 4 is refering to three types of Sabbaths. Now my follow-up question is in the 10 Commandments it says "remember", he also blessed, sactifed and made it holy (why would He put all of the adjetives on that particuar day and not the others?) Exd 31:12-18 it's a perpetual coventant. Jesus said if you love my you will keep my commandments. He kept his Father's commandments and therefore he was a Sabbath keeper himself. John 15:10

Azure, Thanks for the correction I meant so say Acts 17:1-5; 18:1-4, Acts 13th Chapter please forgive me for the wrong scripture referance. When I say "point of view" I mean give me a scripture to support your answer not just a "I was told" Be blessed |

30 | Does the worm represent their body? | Is 66:24 | elder4yhwh | 232676
Now Isa 14:12-16 states that Lucifer will be seen though. In Romans their are two types of bodies (1 Cor 15:38-58) Now we Jesus came back from the dead he was seen in a different type of body. I'm still looking at points of views that's all. Me personally I believe that a personal will burn forever (body) Because if it's a spiritual body then how can we see him (Lucifer) or everyone he took along with him for that matter.
31 | Where did Jesus do away with the Sabbath | Luke 6:5 | elder4yhwh | 232670
Brad you spoke well in Romans, But what about Rom 17:3; 18th:3-5 and Romans 13 Paul wrote those as well. Don't get me wrong Christ exceeds the Sabbath! No one has showed me where he said it's done away with though (the my orginal question) Yes sir, alot of people don't think it's an important day seeing the God blessed, sacified, and made it holy, and it was made for man (Mark 2:27-28) that makes the "day" special for me. I'm not trying to start a debate I just want to hear other people's point of view.... |

32 | Where did Jesus do away with the Sabbath | Luke 6:5 | elder4yhwh | 232634
That Chapter is not dealing with the Sabbath. Because later on down in (vs 16)do not to let a man judge me if I do. Jesus himself said the Sabbath was made for man Mark 2:27-28 then why would he come along a nail it to the tree??

36 | Which God appeared and talked to Abram? | Gen 17:1 | elder4yhwh | 232523
My view on Gen 17 is that whomever Abram was speaking to was an respensitive sent on God's behalf (it was a fleshly being) Here are some other scriptures to vailidate my point. Gen 32:22-32 It was a person (he wrestled with) Num 14:14 He appeared in the Fire and the cloud (something that they can see) Duet 5:4 He spoke from fire which in that tense he communicated with him by means of fire. Judges 6:22 Once again it was a respresentive sent by God with a answer. In all places mentioned above a person can "see God" in HIS many forms. |

37 | Does Is.66:23 mean sabbath still stands? | Is 66:23 | elder4yhwh | 232446
Actually it's talking about 3 different Sabbaths in those verses 1) Seventh Day, 2) Kingdom of God, 3) Those who were preached the good news to (about the Sabbath) and choose not to keep it. I have come a cross alot of people in my life time and told me that they know the Sabbath is "right" but that's not the way they were raised.
