A hearty heart felt A-men. The two children I need Bibles for are reading challenged. I really need something they can undrestand. Something on a third grade level. Worship of a man the Pope, their priest have the power to forgive sin even if they are deiveants. You get the picture, pray to dead people ,pray to statues,Claim the Pope is as God on earth, lets see, sounds like blasphamy to me. JW's ,I don't see them as a cult no more that any other church. Do a study on pagan gods and beliefs, compare to what is in the catholic church and you will see what I mean. Do I think catholics are bad? NO. They are people just like everyone else. Their doctrine is severly flawed. I would show them the errors just as I would JW's. The JW's don't have Baal symbols in their church. I do agree that their doctrine is flawed. Candy Lee

Dan 10:13 We might need Charlie on this one. Michael is one of the chief princes... this one kinda threw me too at first. One was translated from the hebrew word echad which could also be translated as first Kinda like the president's wife being called the first lady. So it seems to me that it could or should read Michael the first of,highest of the chief of princes. Check out the hebrew dictionary on echad. This would also put the other scriptures of Michael in unity. Candy Lee

There can be only one king and that is the Son of God, although it is also written Rev 20:4 These are those who take part in the first resurection, see verse6. See also 1Cor 6:2,3. This should raise the question, if there is a first resurection and the rest live not again for a thousand years, then there must be a second resurection. During the thousand years the rightouslive and rein with Christ. Doesn't say David. The second resurection is the resurection of the wicked. What does 1 cor 6:2,3 say? See What David said about death, Ps 146:4 and his son,Ecc 9:5,6,10 and Job,said 14:12,21. Now see John 6:39 and 1 thes 4:15-17. So, David would take part in the 1st resurection. Acts 2:29,34. All the redeemed will once again walk the earth and the wicked will be ashes under their feet.Mal 4.See also Rev 21,the new Jerusalem. read on to chapter 22.Mt 5:5 and 19:29. In ending Rev 19:16, and 22:16 Is 40:10,11. Jn10:16. Is 28:9,10. How could David rule when Christ is King Of Kings and Lord of Lords? Can you find anywhere that says David is king over the redeemed? I hope these scriptures can clarify for you what you seek to know. |

Only God can read the motives of the heart. True repentance is accepted by God. The Holy Spirit moves upon the hearts of men to bring them to repent. There have been a few other post on this thread that I have read. They also give good insight on this question. Can you loose your salvatiion? Yes, by rejecting the life giver and standing with those who hate him. The choice is always yours as I said before. Judas made his choice. He could have repented, but instead he was only distrought over his plan not working. What about the rich man who asked Christ what he lacked. He chose not to sell all he had and follow Christ. The parable of the vineyard again a good example. The priest knew that Jesus was talking about them. Isa5:1-7,Mk12:1-12. They knew Jesus was from God.Mk12;14 They acknowldeged that he was true and taught he way of God. They still plotted his death. There are those who rejected Jesus then that latter came to believe. Anyone who is truly sorry for their sin and ask for forgiveness and puts away their sin and walks in truth will be accepted by Christ. You must choose which side you want to be on. You can't flip flop back and forth over and over again.
31 | Heb 6:4-6 | Matt 12:31 | candy lee | 151626
Read on to verses7,8. The question is can a person loose their salvation? The answer is yes, because you have freewill to choose. Now if a person who has tasted the heavenly gift turn from following Christ, can he repent and be saved? See Heb 10:26-29,30,38,38.Paul is speaking to Jews who are now following Christ.
32 | Heb 6:4-6 | Matt 12:31 | candy lee | 151627
All men have a choice as to who they will follow, serve, obey, etc.God draws you by the Holy Spirit. You either listen,or turn away from hearing. That choice is yours. To sin is a choice. You either choose to sin or you ask God for strenght to not sin.The human heart is evil. We can do nothing of our own to be saved, it is a free gift from God. You choose either to accept it or not. God/Christ does not force any to obey him or to come to him. It is a responce to the calling of the Holy Spirit. The choice is still that of the sinner;to listen, accept,Follow, obey.
33 | Heb 6:4-6 | Matt 12:31 | candy lee | 151630
How do you know? Can you see the motives of their hearts? We can only guess. The rich man asked what did he lack.Christ said keep the commandments. He said he had done this. What do I lack? It was love. He couldn't love his neighbor as himself. Who was his neighbor? The poor, fatherless, and widow. He could not give up all he had for Christ. His love was where his heart was, with his possessions. As for Judas, he wanted a high position, fame you might say. Did God draw him? Was the free gift offered to him? God knows who are his. Does this mean that he doesn't offer that gift to those that are not? Are we all not his for we are all his. The saved and the lost are his. If this were not so then he could not destroy the wicked. All are offered the gift of life through Jesus Christ the Son of God. Yes ,God does the drawing. we choose to accept or not. If we accept it then we abide in Christ through the indwelling of the Holy spirit. This is what changes us. It is not a work we do for ourself. Works are the result of the change.Judas, seeing that he hung himself I would tend to agree that he lacked the change. Therefore he didn't choose to accept the gift of life offered to him . To say that all men are not given the chance to accept Christ is to give satan grounds to accuse God of favoritism.I think he did that with Job didn't he?
34 | Heb 6:4-6 | Matt 12:31 | candy lee | 151631
Thank you. Heb 10:29 If they receive understanding of what they do and are truly sorry for it and ask for forgivness why would God turn away from the sinner who truly repents? And is it not written that all sins can be forgiven except blasphmy against the Holy Ghost? Reason 3. I found your post to be the most helpful in the understanding of this passage.
35 | Heb 6:4-6 | Matt 12:31 | candy lee | 151633
I'll do just that. I can understand both sides. Then where do you place backsliding, Since sin separates us from God.To walk with Christ is a daily service. That is until death. Not all things are black and white. I don't want human understanding. In it I most surly will err. Line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little... So , I may learn something. True? Thanks. Only the Holy Spirit can draw them back. You still have to make the choice to repent or not. If the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart and you are convicted of that sin and are sorry and don't want to do it again then you ask for forgivness, then for strenght to forsake that sin. WE are all sinners. The difference between the forgiven and the unforgiven is the forgiven sinner asked to be forgiven. There is an action going on here. ASKED TO BE FORGIVEN. the action asked is on the part of the sinner. Drawing by the Holy Ghost, forgivness by God. We still have to ask.Otherwise what seperates us from the wicked? They chose to Tread under foot the Son of God.They choose the god of this world/worldliness. God would have all men saved 1st Tim 2:4 WE know that all will not be saved. Because the wicked will have their part in the lake of fire that is prepared for satan and his angels. The road is narrow... Who made Adam sin? Who made Moses strike the rock when God said speak to it? I thank God Daily and ask for forgivness daily. Why? Because I am a Sinner.Praise be to God for his love towards us all,who HATES SIN but LOVES THE SINNER, even a sinner like me. God gives eternal life. Man is mortal and subject to death. Eternal like is promised only to the rightous. So those who believe that God punishes the wicked in hell forever then also believe that the wicked will have eternal life, for how can a person be tortured unless he has life? A backslider can ask for forgivness. This is what I was saying. And God is faithfull to forgive us our sins. Only when you refuse to listen to the calling of the Holy Spirit to the point that you have heardened yourself to the plee to come to Christ are you in danger.
37 | shall not taste of death till they see | Mark 9:1 | candy lee | 96139
I think also that it refres to the 144,000 living saints that are translated without seeing death when Christ returns which was represented on the mount by Elijah, and Moses represented those that would be resurected at the second comming. The transfiguration was a mini view to his second comming. His disiples asked to see him comming in his kingdom and this is how he showed them.

I think if you slow down and ask for the Holy Spirit to give you light on the scriptures that I gave you or read the entire books that I quoted you will see how they relate. They all are on the same subject either directly or support and help to clarify the subject that there is no preaching during the time that Satan is bound or the time that he is loosened.Rev 22:11,12 Also read Heb because it tells about what Christ is doing for us now. When He has finished His work in the hevenly sanctuary ,all who are unclean will be unclean still...Rev.22:11 Why do you think that there will be preaching after the first resurrection? How about some text on that? I will stand down if you can show me that there is a way that the ones Christ says will remain lost can be saved, Rev 22:11 What about the sabbath, I gave you oodles of scriptures on that one including in the last chapter of Rev? I don"t know how to make it any plainer than I have. Exactly which part do you not understand or in which part have I confused you? I'll do the best that I can to clarify if I know what it is you are asking. I'll have to get back to you later though because I have to go to bed for now.I have to go to work in the morning. Please write back! CL PS some believe Christ preached to the ones in hell after he died on the cross but there is no scripture to support that either.Ecc9:5 refutes that.
39 | shall not taste of death till they see | Mark 9:1 | candy lee | 96464
When Jesus walked with his disciples into a corn field and picked corn to eat the Pharacees accused them of breaking the sabbath and Christ rebuked them. The Pharacees had perverted the sabbath law so badly the it was not possible to follow all the restrictions that they had put on it. The sabbath is made for man and not man for the sabbath. Mk 2:27,28. Christ also haeled on the sabbath. Was he breaking the sabbath? Mk 3:4 It is lawful to do good on the sabbath. As for gas, you would take care of that on Friday. You also would not go out to eat on the sabbath. I see how an end less list could be generated. Ex 20:8-11 The sabbath commandment was on the tables of stone and since we don't have to keep it then is it okay for us to use his name withput reverence? You know the ugly words using his name. Or can we disobey and disrespect our parents? I've been guilty of that one and I still an sorry for it. How do we know what sin is if we don't have something to go by. I can't see trashing any one commandment. I was taught the ten commandments in Sunday school. I was also told to pray in front of a picture of a man holding a lamb.I'm telling you I hated that picture. I was afraid of it. Because of this I hated going to church and I gave my Mom such a problem at church she quit making me go. I tried again as ateen to go to church but I got those same feelings. I went a very long time searching for the truth. I believe the SDA church is the closest to the truth but I see things there I do.t like such as Christmas. I researched it at since that I have had a terrible time telling people what I found. It has to do with Tamus. I did find some scripture in Jer 10. I like to learn about the different beliefs people have. I truely believe Christ has jewels in all the churches. I believe that as long as you walk in the light you have that Christ looks on your heart. I'm glad that we have a just and loving God. Thanks for writting me back. Your sister in Christ CL

I believe that a lesson can be used in many ways to help us to understand a point. I also believe that this verse does talk about the transfiguration. But I believe it goes even deeper. I don't think I am wrong, and if I am then I pray that my error will be corrected and I will be given the true maening or meanings.
