21 | Good study guide for Revelation? | Revelation | Ric | 1627
Hi Bill, I was saying that my studies are on a seminary level, I'm not attending any seminary right now. I have been in a self study for over four or five years now. I have gone to seminary book stores and other places like that (Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida for one). I buy books that are recomended by pastors and seminary teachers and study, study, study. I still am a long way away from being even close to most seminary grads, but I am studying on their level. That's all I ment on studying on the seminary level, sorry if I mis-led you. God Bless! In God's Grace, Ric |

The more questions the better, thats the way I see it! Luke 11:9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. (NIV) |

23 | Good study guide for Revelation? | Revelation | Ric | 1547
I agree that the "Scofield Reference Bible" is a great source to help one study complex books of the Bible! My studies are on a seminary level, so I have a good knowledge of the Bible (of course I still have a loooong way to go!). Funny you said "To get a good grasp on Revelation I would suggest a good grasp of the Book of Daniel", I am in a middle of a study of that book right now (also the book of James). God Bless! 24 | SECOND CHANCE | Rev 7:1 | Ric | 1332
It does refer to people still here on the Earth. And all through Scripture the word "saint" is given to all of God's people (i.e. Saved, Chosen, Born Again, etc...) God Bless. In God's Grace, Ric |

25 | I DO NOT KNOW | Bible general Archive 1 | Ric | 998
I assume this is the passage you are refering to? Mark 13:32 "But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. (NAS) "That day" neither the angels of heaven nor Jesus himself knows the time. Only the Father knows that time. And Jesus, at his ascension, clearly said that it was not for the disciples "to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority" (Acts 1:7). Knowing the future would be a hindrance, not a help to faith. Our responsibility is to get busy and do his work without being concerned about date setting. Jesus' ignorance of the day or hour of his return must be understood in terms of the NT teaching concerning the Incarnation. Jesus purposely laid aside temporarily the exercise of his omniscience as part of what was involved in his becoming a human being. |

26 | In Jesus' name...except baptism? | Col 3:17 | Ric | 966
Remember, that (water) Baptism is not needed for salvation, (water) Baptism is something we do (most of the time one of the first things we do) in obeying Jesus' command. A truely saved person in Christ will want to obey Jesus' commands, and we get (water) Baptized as one of our first acts of following Him as our Lord. It's symbolism, we get (water) baptized in the name of the Trinity because we are saved by the Trinity. I'm not going to talk about the method of water baptism, but we are salve by God like so - The Father whom gave us His Son and the Holy Spirit which is now in us. See, all three are part of our salvation, when we are baptized in the Trinity, it symbolizes the work of God.

29 | Are the unevangelized people really lost | Rom 2:15 | Ric | 514
Yes, we need to fulfill the Great Commission at all costs! Because people have sinned, and even thou they have never heard of Jesus, they still have the law written on their hearts. Once the one goes against the law written on their heart, they have sinned (and we all do). Romans 2:12 For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law; and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; 13 for not the hearers of the Law are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. (NAS) |
