21 | Does anybody recognise the beast? | Bible general Archive 1 | tuli | 36646
If you read the whole chapter, you see a few other events that should tell you that the beast probably isn't here yet. This chip may be paving the way, because you knwo that the enemy is wise, has a plan; the spirit of anti-christ is already working. God bless. |

22 | Raven and John Reformed, Baptism? | Bible general Archive 1 | tuli | 36529
1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. |

23 | Marriage | Gen 2:20 | tuli | 36527
A godly marriage cannot but stay together. Godly meaning that it honors God. Any rate, a marriage centered on God will stand any trial. Both individuals have to be spiritual knowing the unity of the spirit. |

24 | Jesus tears down the gates of hell? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36147
Charis, What do you thin the word prevail means here? Shall not prevail against or triumph over it! Through the Church Christ is "reclaiming" creation. The gates cannot prevail because He through the Church is extending His dominion. I think you can comfortably say there is some tearing down. God Bless. |

25 | Christianity vs. Paganism | Bible general Archive 1 | tuli | 35480
The only power that you have is the Gospel. No other book is going to help. The Word of God is power. paul persuaded many from their ways in teh Book of Acts, only using the Gospel. Others used fancy speech, he was simple! I believe that because His life spoke too and that he was empowered by the Holy Spirit just as Our Lord Jesus Christ was, he needed no other helps. You do not have any power in yourself to change those kids, the Spirit of God does. Prayerfully seek God's intervention in the kids' lives. Fancy material may make them change their minds but if they are not builded on the foundation of God's word, they soon will fall back. God Bless. |

26 | Divisions and disunity?? | John 17:21 | tuli | 35741
I believe the root of division is a lack in spirituality. In the book of 1 COR. Paul addresses the Churc, by the way as the Church of the Living God even with all the division. BUt he mentions something rather interesting in 1 Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. And one of the problems in the Church was division as many have mentioned. However, in Chapter 12 when he starts off on the spiritual matters then what does he address? He address the body of Christ. A wonderful parallel to Eph. 4 I believe it is only when we have dealt with all the canality that we can appreciate the unity-which is in the Spirit. One issue dealt with in 1 COR 5 is was unrepentant sinners as in v.11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. These matters are serious yet few are bold enough to stand for them and then they are derided! The worst persecution is by the church itself. We fight against what we do not see. God Bless. |

28 | should Christian children have boyfriend | 1 Thess 4:3 | tuli | 35723
Friend, The boyfriend-girlfriend relationship is a rather contemporary one. And, it is only found in the developed world where Christian values are very like the world. We are not to be like the world at all. Yet we do exactly what the world does and call it by another name. Just as Israel did. One warning I can't get over when it comes to these defiling relationships is: Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Now all this is in the heart! Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: The girlfriend-boyfriend relationship is nowhere in the scriptures recognized. Especially because it is very rarely with any intentions of marriage. 1 Corinthians 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. We live in very dark times, it is getting worse. There is a movement making ready the revealing of the anti-christ. And these movement is very subtle making mankind numb to the standards of Christ. We make thing seem okay because they meet the needs of the flesh-this is enmity with God! God Bless. |

29 | Why do we do communion? | Luke 22:19 | tuli | 35718
Read 1 CORINTHIANS 11. It is a rather serious issue when you read that. Let me know what you think, if you don't mind. God Bless. |

30 | What is unity of the body? | John 17:21 | tuli | 35714
John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The book of Ephesians is a wonderful consideration of what the body of Christ-the Church is. Eph. 4:3 encourages to diligently keep the unity which was made already at the cross. The analogy given in 1 cor 12 is that of your own body and I believe that is waht the Church is supposed to function as. Just like the early church in Acts. |

31 | Double portion is really only two-thirds | 2 Kin 2:9 | tuli | 33839
Hey Preacher, I have tried to look for the passage that talks about Reuben not getting the due of the firstborn. I believe he lost it to Joseph, thereby Joseph attaining a double portion, that is, the two sons he had both inherited. In lieu of that, I think a double portion is twice that anyone else receives. In the case of Elijah and Elisha, I doubt it was up to Elijah to give that portion because of his reply to Elisha. I figure that will be my two mites. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. |

A good question to ask is if God use man to speak to animals? God created man in His image and only in man did He breath and also complete creation.

34 | Help with Hosea???? | Hos 13:14 | tuli | 30654
Slide, I do sympathize with your situation! Your friend is definitely in a terrible situation herself. True to what she says in that passage the wrath of God is seen, yet it gets worse if she has really read the Bible! That should be a sign to her of how serious God is when He promises fierce wrath. I read Jonathan Edward's Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and he makes one point very clear, God owes no man nothing. If he chose as in Job it says[34:14-15], if He chose to take back his Spirit and breath we would all perish! Your friend's viewpoint is rather skewed since she clearly disregards to love that God has shown through His Son- a death not deserved for an unthankful, blasphemous race, yet He still has given even yoru friend time to repent otherwise she would be as dead as can be. Before she can make such assertions, let her read what God did for Israel and what He promised them and what His purpose was for them. Please pray for her too that the love of God would be manifest to her and lead her to repentance and salvation. The Lord Bless you Slide. |

35 | Neh.8: 10-12.What joy? what does it mean | John 15:11 | tuli | 30054
Zoe my friend, That sure is an wonderful thought. Israel is rebuilding and they see their failure at the reading of the Law and are discouraged. Then, Nehemiah, who had been very instrumental in the rebuilding and had faced many a discouraging times comforts the people with the comfort wherewith he had been comforted-in the JOY of the Lord- None of his own ability. I believe what our Lord, Jesus Christ says in John 15:11 is in similar faith. I hope that helps a bit. The Lord Bless You. |

38 | Lord's Supper discussion. | Acts 2:42 | tuli | 29427
Now that sure is a wonderful thought. 1 Cor. 11:23 I received...there definitely was great importance to this practice especially that it is a a time to remember Our Lord. A very serious time at that. I figure that's why God's people can afford to live such disgraceful lives! There is no accountability at all. Recall the issue Paul addresses in the Church at Corinth. Any rate, I do not think it is a subject much addressed in the Church maybe because there is no appreciated value-thanks to the lack of preaching on it. Most of our preachers try too hard not to "offend" the sheep! Because one cannot partake of the "meal" if they are not in right relationship with God and with their neighbors, it is easier to pass it off all the same. Let me know what you think about Acts 20:7 and I Cor. 16:2 I look forward to others' contribution. Thanks. The Good Lord Bless You. |

39 | WHO ARE THE SONS OF GOD AND THE DAUGHTER | Genesis | tuli | 27114
Friend, this is a note to one of the thoughts on the subject, I hope it gives you some thoughts. Interesting thoughts friend, However how then do you explain the giants, because the whole idea of giants is closely related to this relationship between the daughters of men and the son's of God. I find it interesting that Israel was to annihilate the races of the giants! Think about it, if it were any common man, then the races of giants would never have disappeared. Remember these were not a one-in-a-million chance but whole races, so let us not even get into genetics (not to say you wre headed there). Now, then at the time of Job, there was none as righteous as he, yet how come he wasn't at that "meeting" with God. This is definitely a heavenly scene because these sons were in the presence of God with Lucifer, hence the assumption that they are peers. Now, remember the three men that ate at Abraham's before two angels went to take lot out of the path of destruction. How the Sodomites wanted them and how they pulled the Lot and his family and run? I think they were pretty fleshly in that. The passage in Hebrews, look at Ps 104:4 and look again at Heb 1:7. I do not understand what that all means. Gotta pray some more. I hope that hasn't been too long. The Good Lord grant us His Spirit to understand His Word. God Bless. |

40 | Isaiah 55:1-9 | OT general | tuli | 29418
Is 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Well, I guess you have to come His way. Just as the very start of Jesus' ministry was Repent same as John the Baptist and pretty much the good news. You have to forsake something! The Good Lord Bless You. |
