21 | Is it what God does, or HOW He does it? | 1 Cor 14:33 | tomn | 46838
God is not the author of confusion as seen by our understanding of the context of that passage being what kind of confusion He means.
22 | How is God and Satan different? | 2 Cor 11:15 | tomn | 46837

23 | Suffering for Christ's sake | Col 1:24 | tomn | 45187
Cheryl I don't agree Makarios said that they can't be suffered in holiness. Is it possible your ranting and railing against them is keeping you from see that? I see that all suffering can be done IN holiness but not FOR holiness. As we grow in holiness we will grow in our understanding of the cause of our suffering.
24 | How is suffering holy? | Col 1:24 | tomn | 45937
If you don't ask God for understanding of what I said it means you are not ready to accept it and so would not help you for me to repeat it.
25 | tomn, what is "suffering" and "holy"? | Col 1:24 | tomn | 45942
I would go with the common idea of suffering and holy. Which means suffering is holy when it is done for a holy reason or in a holy way. Such as what we endure to bring and witness the Gospel of Salvation of us from Hell by the work of Jesus Christ as our living Lord and Savior today.
26 | Can YOU tempt someone else to sin? | 1 Tim 6:4 | tomn | 47091
Mommapbs,do you think that the ref's you gave teach it is only the devil or our desires that tempt us and not what we do to each other? If so I don't agree, because of the ref's shown in #47064 by Searcher56. Do you think by my idea of tempting I am trying to justify myself? If so why would I ask forgiveness for offering that temptation? What makes more sense is that your pride rebels at that Christ-like attitude and is trying to use my sin to resist doing the same. I agree with you on correctly using the Word. However, before we post telling others to do it,we need to pray God will show us how correct we ourselves are using it. |

31 | death from obediance to god suicide | Revelation | tomn | 47120
kikakiki,'Suicide'is when the purpose of what you do is to kill yourself. So as long as that is not your purpose in what you do, it is not suicide. However only God and MAYBE you know what is your true purpose in what you are doing. So that you and another person can be dying in the same way. Such as having no food except by sinning, but one death is a martyrdom and the other is a suicide because that person is like the one in 1cor13:3 who thinks they are going to 'earn' something by their death.
