New Creature, ok I'll bite. 1. Faith 2. conviction 3. repentance 4. salvation 5. regeneration Salvation and regeneration are so close I assume regeneration here to be an ongoing process I would normally refer to as sanctification. However another way to see this is that after one comes to the point of repentance and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior He then regenerates the heart. This should be an interesrting post to follow. 22 | What Is The Meaning Of Life? | Bible general Archive 2 | tgc | 125934
The meaning to life is to bring praise and worship and glory to God. Country Girl has made an excellent reply, you should by all means follow up on the study suggested. I heard David Jeremiah bring an excellent message on these passages at the Worldview Weekend when that event took place in Memphis this past winter and it drove me to do this study myself and to preach on it later. Another resource you will want to checkout is Rick Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life. Hope this Helps. In The Love OF Christ, tgc

25 | Purity in concerns with being raped | Bible general Archive 2 | tgc | 124970
Patts, I am very sorry about what you have been through, however I am very happy to hear you have come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. As far as purity in connection to what has happened to you No God does not consider you unpure. Also remember this that when you came to Christ He made you a new creature a gave you a new life the past is gone and God remembers it no more. Try sapeaking with your pastor about his matter he can most likely help you in one of several ways, either direct counceling or recommending a good biblical councelor who can personally help you through this with the scriptures. 27 | Marks gospel so different from Matthew | NT general Archive 1 | tgc | 124759
LSmith, The answer to your question can be found in looking at who the authors were writting to. Matthew was writting to a mainly jewish audience and Mark to a gentile audience primarily Romans. Matthew writes in away that his intended audience will grasp by quoting heavily from the OT to prove that Jesus is the Messiah while Mark writes in a way to capture the interest of the Roman audiance he is writting to focusing on action based events because this is what his audience would relate to. You can find indepth coverage of this subject in the introduction to each book in Nelson's Complete Study System Bible product number 2885 as well as severel books that have been writting on the harmony of the Gospels. Hope thi helps. In The Love Of Christ, tgc
28 | Jehovah's Witness Question | Bible general Archive 2 | tgc | 124757
JW's are a cult in every sense of the word. To name a few of the problems they deny the diety of Jesus Christ they deny the doctrin of the Trinity they deny the reality of a real place called Hell also the doctrin of eternal punishment for nonbelivers they claim only a select few are going to Heaven the rest are to stay here on Earth. they rank as an organizations as probly number one on the list of false prophets. My friend you are exactly the kind of person the JW's target a new christan not yet completely founded in your beliefs. Stay away from this kind of influence in your life right now and do not let them lead you in there doctrins of lies and half truths. May God Bless and Hold you. In The Love Of Christ, tgc
29 | The Sovereignty of God | Ps 103:19 | tgc | 124755
Bro. Hank, Excellent question it cuts right to the heart of many debates today. Let me offer this answer to your question. The reason God's sovereignity is not taught or preached about today is people do not want to hear it let alone be confronted with it. Therefore many of our pastors will not talk about it for fear of upsetting someone. You see now why I say this cuts to the heart of many of our problems in the church today Christans without convictions pastor worried about the backbone to stand up for the whole word of God. Many today want to hear about an all loving God who condiders all of us His children who never gets mad and has no place for wrath. I personally do not know this God nor does anyone elese who has seriouly looked at what scripture reveals to us about the nature of God. Yes He is a loving and forgiving God just look at the Crossbut He is also a perfect gentleman who will not force His will on any. So for those who choose to accept His offer of salvation recoginize the Lordship of Jesus Christ and come to Him in repentance there is the right to be called the children of God for those who reject this offer and the Lordship of Jesus are not children of God rather they are children of wrath. In short to preach and teach the sovereignty of God is to come face to face with the real nature of God and today that is considered in tolerant and definitely not politcally correct. 31 | The husband of only one wife? | Titus 1:6 | tgc | 124120
You have ask a multiple part question so let me break it down as I offer my answer. First husband of one wife. Ther are basically two different views of this one that it means only one wife for a lifetime and that if you have ever been divorced that you are disqualified from being a pastor. The other view is that if you look at the culture that Paul was writting into having many wives at the same time was very popular and the cultural norm and Paul was speaking out against this. I will not offer my personal view on this here but rather challenge you to seek out your answer in prayer and study. Again on the second part of your question there are two major views one is that it makes no difference at all if you are divorced you can not be a pastor, the other is that whatever you did before you where a Christan God wiped away aat the moment of your salvation and you became as scripture says a new creation. Here I will offer my view I adhere to the latter view that God wipes the slate clean. As far as remarriage after the death of a spouse I know of no place in the Bible that prohibits this. In certain cases Paul even encourages it. No there is no mandate that a pastor can not remarry if his wife dies. Now for your last question if a serving pastor is divorced while in the ministry yes he should step down from his position. For the family was created before the church and actually takes priority over the church and if your family is falling apart your ability to minister is effectually destroyed and you could bring great harm and divison to the church. I would encourage you to study the scripture for your final answer to thes questions they are very emotionally debated within the church today I hope I have been able to offer a little help to you. 32 | Does one wife equal first and last wife? | 1 Tim 3:2 | tgc | 124117
bluemystic338, Where you a Christan when these events took place or did you come to faith after the fact? I fully belive the answer to your question is dependent on the answer to this question. If you where saved when you married and knew your wife was an unbeliver then you vilolated God Word by marring her however if you came to faith after the marriage and she refused the faith and left the marriage and you have done all that you can to reconcile the marriage and she refuses then you are free to go on with your life. As to can you be a preacher that is between you and God. I will give you the advice an old pastor gave me when I was wrestleing with my call to the ministry if you can do anything elese and have peace with God do not preach, but if you try and continues to convict your heart look for confirmation of your call once you have go foward. Hope this helps. In The Love Of Christ, tgc
33 | Acts of persecution why was recount this | Gal 1:13 | tgc | 124115
Tan Flipper, To find the answer to this you have to back up to the begining of the chapter and look at what Paul is addressing. In this letter Paul is adressing there are people who have come into the church of the Galatians preaching a return to the law rather than grace a well as questioning Paul's authority as an aposel. So what Paul is doing is reasserting the doctrin of grace and his apostleship. He is laying the foundation for the teachings to come in this letter. I would encourage an indepth study of this book for it really brings light to living the Christan Life in the grace of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Hope this helps. 34 | is civil wedding has blessing from God | Bible general Archive 2 | tgc | 124109
rvl, God bless the commitment to the marriage not the ceramony. The reason for the ceramony is to make public the total lifelong committment you have both entered into.. Your vows are seen by God in a civil ceramony just as clearly as He sees the vows made in a church. Just remember God sees the heart and knows the heart. His blessing comes from our following His word and walking in His will. Hope this helps. In The Love Of Christ, tgc

36 | Is Crucifixion by Christians Biblical? | Bible general Archive 2 | tgc | 121994
Hello prazn, No it is not biblical for one christan to try to break another one. This would have nothing to do with the process of santification. Sanctification is not the place of man it is the work of the Holy Spirit. Many times there is a temorary pain connected with the process of santification it is not the place of people to inflict this. The pain I am speaking of could be termed growing pains. A great scriptural reference for this question would the the whole book of James. Also refernce 1 Cor. 1:30 1 Thess 4:3 2 Thess 2:13. Futher I would refer you to www.equp.org where you can pull down CRI prospectives on many different subjects including sanctification. I really hope this helps. In The Love of Christ, tgc |

37 | Why is the devil released after 1,000 yr | Bible general Archive 2 | tgc | 121990
Hello, Liveright, I will try to answere at least of two of these. During the Millenium it is belived my many that there will be two kinds of people on Earth during this time. One is the belivers who have come with Christ to set up His earthly Kingdom. The other will be normal mortal people who will only have in this world under Christ direct rule. These people will be tempted by Satan when he is released for the short time. As for the second part of your question after much pondering and research the only answere that comes up is that part of God's perfect plan includes Satan not being cast into the lake of fire until the appointed time. I have seen many opions on this but as far as I can tell scripture is silent on this question. As far as pets are concerned I have no ideal except they will be left behind and at that point we will not be concerned with them we will be to busy worshipping Jesus at the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. Hope this helps. In the Love of Christ, tgc

39 | God is one | Gal 4:4 | tgc | 121708
ucmenew, Thank about the sitting God is in when He is making this statement. Who is He talking to? By using the plural He is already starting to reveal the Trinity. Another example of this occurs in Gen. 1-1 where the word for God is Elohim which is in thr plural form of theoriginal lanuage. However plural here denotes three or more for in the original lanuage there is singular, dual and plural forms of words. It is amazing howgreat of God we serve and how much He loves us and wants us to know that He starts from verse 1 to revile Himself to us. However I would have to respectfully disagree with the Mary part of some of the previous answers. When God speaks of His image He is talking about those attributes of God that all of us have. There are four of these the soul, the emotions, the free will or ability to choose and a soul. This passage is intended to open up the teaching of the Trinity and to reveal the fact we are created in God's image. In Christ Love, tgc |
