21 | is it neccessary to lay hands? | Luke 7:14 | jlpangilinan | 163348
Hand is the instrument of action. Easton Bible Dictionary entry on Hand Called by Galen "the instrument of instruments." It is the symbol of human action (Ps 9:16; Job 9:30; Isa 1:15; 1Ti 2:8). Washing the hands was a symbol of innocence (Ps 26:6; 73:13; Mt 27:24), also of sanctification (1Co 6:11; Isa 51:16; Ps 24:3-4). In Ps 77:2 the correct rendering is, as in the Revised Version, "My hand was stretched out," etc., instead of, as in the Authorized Version, "My sore ran in the night," etc. The right hand denoted the south, and the left the north (Job 23:9; 1Sa 23:19). To give the right hand was a pledge of fidelity (2Ki 10:15; Ezr 10:19); also of submission to the victors (Eze 17:18; Jer 50:15). The right hand was lifted up in taking an oath (Ge 14:22, etc.). The hand is frequently mentioned, particularly the right hand, as a symbol of power and strength (Ps 60:5; Isa 28:2). To kiss the hand is an act of homage (1Ki 19:18; Job 31:27), and to pour water on one's hands is to serve him (2Ki 3:11). The hand of God is the symbol of his power: its being upon one denotes favour (Ezr 7:6,28; Isa 1:25; Lu 1:66, etc.) or punishment (Ex 9:3; Jg 2:15; Ac 13:11, etc.). A position at the right hand was regarded as the chief place of honour and power (Ps 45:9; 80:17; 110:1; Mt 26:64). Hope it would helps. God bless, |

26 | Need a bible verse, just one will do | Ps 22:6 | jlpangilinan | 163288
There are verses that to be taken literally and there are not to be taken literally. For example in Ps 22:6 it says, But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. This verse is talking about Christ, His being rejected by His brethren. Ps 69:8; Isa 63:3 Fulfilled, Joh 1:11; 7:3 We cannot take that verse literally because Christ is not a worm anyway He is a Son of God and God Himself. What word or commandments can be taken literally? Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |

Maybe you may consider this helpful. Jesus Christ, as a man and servant. Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Jesus Christ as A GOD Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 31 | Did Apostle Paul make tents ? | Acts 18:3 | jlpangilinan | 163033
Yes! a tent maker, to made himself not a burden to a member of the church. 2Co 12:14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. Apostle Paul is a excellent example of true apostle not just for preaching, but also in labor made himself not a burden to his church members. I do hope that pastors today are like him. God bless, |

33 | Jesus responds | Bible general Archive 3 | jlpangilinan | 163031
Bible proved that Jesus Christ is God. That time when jews want to stone Him Jesus really is in His human form. Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: If he is really not God and only a man, why He have to made himself equal to men? these verses is talking about Jesus Christ Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. it mentioned there "and the Word, (Jesus Christ)was made flesh (born of mary). If Christ is already flesh, (man) why He must be made flesh, if already a flesh? God bless, |

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. I dont think God created someone, just to send them to hell. Bible mentioned, "whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." whosoever believed in Jesus Christ, will not got to hell. God bless, |

36 | Can we change God's Will? | Mal 3:6 | jlpangilinan | 162973
Tim, this is not to oppose the answer given to you by kalos, but some things we can discuss on. Ex 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. Ex 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. Ex 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. Because of moses prayer to the Lord, God repented of the evil things He tought to do to israel, what do you think. 37 | Does GOD change as centuries pass by. | Mal 3:6 | jlpangilinan | 162965
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Ps 102:26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: Ps 102:27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. Gods the Father did not change, if we saw teaching like those in OT, it is not mean that God change, people change not God. When God gave those commandments in OT, it is mean that those commandments are suit for those people alive on those times. When God the Father sent His Begotten son it is not because he change, it is a part of a divine plan for salvation, and not because He change. As we all knew that prophecies about Christ was written in the old testament, even in the time of Moses. De 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. Also of Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. This is not because our God change, it is happen because God knows what is better for us. God bless, |

38 | Burn in Hell? | Mark 9:43 | jlpangilinan | 141874
Hell is for eternity. Let us ask the Bible about it. Mt 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. What is eternal punishment? Re 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 39 | why would God allow his son to die fo us | John 3:16 | jlpangilinan | 137815
Simple, the reason why God allow His son to die for us because of John 3:16 Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. You said: "How could God allow this to happen to his own son. Is this not murder. What makes you think he will protect you if he wouldn't protect his own son" Do you think God will not protect Jesus if He want to? Mt 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Mt 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Mt 26:54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? It is the fulfillment of the scriptures that Christ must crossified for you and for me, so it is not us to suffer for our sins but Him (Christ) The death of Christ is voluntarily, do you think those who kill him can touch them if God not allowed them? De 32:39 ¶ See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. NO! no one can deliver out of His hand! NO ONE! To that lady you said that do not believed in God, there is still time, this is my message to her. Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. God bless, |

40 | who is god | Ex 6:3 | jlpangilinan | 136523
The Supreme Being, creator of heaven and earth. Ge 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Holy and Jealous God Jos 24:19 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. No one can deliver out of his hand De 32:39 ¶ See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. Never change: Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. In His hand is the soul of every living thing: Job 12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? Job 12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. He cannot lie: Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; above all a Lving God: 1Jo 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Those are some of God qualities, His name in hebrew was YHWH, too many names created with that hebrew letters. God names was mentioned in Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Father God everlasting name. Jesus Christ in the new testament did not mentioned any name in refer to His Father but "Father" "Our Father" "My Father" Christ did call His Father Yaweh or Jehovah or other names. God bless, |
