24 | A Study of John's Gospel. | John 1:1 | angel1 | 40382
hi rainbow-I'd love to start a vs. by vs. study of John. His gospel seems to me the most relavent one in this day and -of course -the most in tune with God's spirit. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Praise His name. angel1
25 | baptism | Luke 3:3 | angel1 | 40370
thx for all replys--All replys have been based on todays knowledge. My question is about why the people THEN were following John--They had only the old testament. What led them to a knowledge that cleansing and repentance was necessary?--thx to all angel1
26 | knocked about and wander around homeless | 1 Cor 4:11 | angel1 | 40264
missygat-hi-angel1 here-at this time Paul had been in fact knocked about--His speaking in favor of Jesus had caused him to be beaten and incarcerated for his speaking of Jesus. He had no home but was travelling from church to church in order to see that they would be established in the truth of the gospel and not be led astray. see acts-the whole book and the whole new testament -In Him angel1

28 | Is biblical accuracy possible in Godspel | Bible general Archive 1 | angel1 | 40252
hi-angel1 here--no it can't-not unless there is rewriting. It isn't about an "amorphous God" it is always about "JESUS" in HIS name--angel1

30 | The point of God's questions to Job? | Job | angel1 | 40246
hi hank-angel1 here--I can't believe you don't get the point of these questions.--it seems obvious to me that HE is saying "who do you think you are?" The answer is "i-Job_- am nothing-just as we are nothing and HE is all. in Him-angel 1
31 | Internal or expressed thoughts | 2 Cor 10:5 | angel1 | 37418
hi heapshake-to get the implication here you have to go to the original language-greek. according to strong's concordance the root word is noieo -to exercise the mind-observe-perceive-think-understand. He would have been refering to internal thoughts. in Him angel1
32 | Am I lost for eternity because of sin | 1 John 1:9 | angel1 | 37415
welcome godschild73-you say you understand God's word but don't mention Jesus-it is true that we are responsible for our actions and the bible is clear that we can never be good enough to meet God's standards of Holiness-Rom.3:23-Jesus is the exception--He is perfect as a man and glorius as God- are you covered by His blood? this is your hope and the only way to escape judgement.Rom. 24-25-26 love in Him-angel1
33 | What does this verse mean?Mark 16:16 | John 3:18 | angel1 | 37412
hi Raven-lets look at the context-Jesus is risen He upbraids his deciples for their unbelief of the report by others that He is risen. Then He tells them to -vs. 15-Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Then vs 16. This is the "great commission" of Christians. I think Benjamite has spoken well of baptism. I'll just add that it symbolizes your death and resurrection in Christ. That is why I prefer immersion but I wouldn't build a whole denomination on it-God sees the heart. love in Him-angel1
34 | Biblical contradiction? | 2 Chr 35:21 | angel1 | 37355
hi seedsower--there is nothing to suggest Huldah was a false prophetess. Look at the context and the rest of the verse--"gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that i will bring upon this place and upon the inhabitants of the same---'He may have died in physical war but he didn't have to see the wrath of God-and this is peace.--in Him angel1
35 | Who can refute reasoning? | Bible general Archive 1 | angel1 | 37352
hi CDBJ-reason is truly a gift of God and I really get your focus on the whole word--it seems to me that Heb. 11 "byFaith---byfaith---byfaith---" is not to be ignored. also believing what we do about Jesus is not "reasonable" at all. Heres one more thing -what about the mentally retarded. They can not reason as we understand it -are they unsalvagable due to lack of reasoning ability?angel1
36 | Is His word making progress in you? 8:37 | Heb 5:8 | angel1 | 37350

37 | what is the bibles view on euthanasia | Ex 20:13 | angel1 | 37349
hi- i am fat and batty-angel1 here-The bible doesn't speak to these subjects directly but Rev.1:17/18says -Jesus speaking to john"fear not Iam the first and the last: i am he that liveth and was dead; and behold forevermore, amen, and have the keys of hell AND OF DEATH-my emphasis. The whole bible is telling us that we must trust --have faith in-- him. Jesus decides who lives and when it is time to die. Mostly He wants us to know that we can't meet the glory of the father but He did and that He loves you so much that He knows how many hairs are on your head--This much love we can trust.-in Him-angel1
38 | Easter questions | Ex 12:2 | angel1 | 37348

39 | why is Acts 2:44 not practiced today | Acts 2:44 | angel1 | 37254

40 | Crime/punishment in Lev? | Rom 3:10 | angel1 | 37251
hi norrie-thx. for response--stoning is one of the forms of capital punishment-putting to death-and "cut off" does mean ostrisized. All of these things are told to make us aware of the danger we are in when we try to save ourselves . but you are saved--by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus-His blood covers you and no spirit can harm you. Continue to stand with HIM . I'm concerned that you may have been involved with a stoning or are afraid of being stoned due to something in the past--The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin . Mostly-you must focus on HIM and all HE is. love in HIM angel1
