21 | don't be a LOSER | 1 Thess 5:15 | joel k | 105153
I am amazed that so many of you (not all) give answers to scripture other than the scripture refernce posted by the person asking the question. Do you remember when Paul taught us that we may be the host in the presents of an angel without knowing it, well if they stand with us in the world surely they also stand in the cyber-world. do not be so free with your insults. I answered one of you and said that Jesus was my only teacher, and that tens of thousands of souls have returned because of what he taught me, and I got a reply of insults that said I should get an education on the internet. What a loser. And what an insult to our Lord. GROW UP BROTHERS AND SISTERS. please read proverbs 22:29 and Isaiah 31:3 this is the last you will hear from me, I promiss. please do not remove from the unanswered question page for at least one day so all will see. in Love Joel k |

26 | End times? | Revelation | joel k | 104335
End times ??? There seems to be much talk these days about the middle east peace talks being the trigger on the gun that starts the begining of the end. I know this isn't a political forum, but the implications here seem to put this subject in the foreground of our Christian beliefs. Will there be a Palestinian state? Or will there be an all out war that draws the USA in to defend Israel? ... ok ... my question is ... does anyone know of a scripture that leads to prophecy of this particular event?
27 | khuck ... thanks for your answers .. | Gal 6:17 | joel k | 103125
khuck ... thank you for your answers ... the reason I ask is because when I read this scripture Gal. 6:17 Paul touched me in a way that had been very personal up until then. When your most inwardly formed thoughts ... your feelings about yourself ... are found to be already written about ... thousands of years ago ... suddenly they are not so personal anymore. At 40 years old now, I see more clearly than ever how I (unknowingly) carried the cross since childhood, and even though I know how I got my scars (both physical and spiritual) I also know that they are a mimmic of Christ. I believe Paul had the same reflections in his life, almost like a confromation from God. I have had many spiritual events in my life, and I have seen so much you won't believe. But I have always recieved from the Word of God, by His Holy Spirit, comfort in scripture because they don't just speak to me, they speak about me in the way that they relate exactly to my life and sufferings. There are a fewpeople close to me that confirm to me that I'm not out of my head because they can see the relation too. There is a movie called stigmata and a web site. They talk about st. Frances being the first documented case of stigmata occurring without being self-induced mutilation of the body. |

30 | to hank ... thank you | Bible general Archive 2 | joel k | 103029
to Hank ... thank you for your testimony. I bet insurance sales is much like car sales ... people already have a preconcieved notion about the salesman ... that he is a liar and out to get their money. What do you think about the fact that the manager broke a law? Shouldn't he be charged with wrong doing? |

31 | new creation ... follow up | Rom 12:19 | joel k | 103037
new creation ...thank you for the info. on where to find help. There is much more to this story ... like you said ... more info keeps showing up ... I also was denied a position as music director at my home church two weeks after I lost my job. The review commitee said they need someone more stable and better suited for the job. I am still devistated. I have known many troubles, as often Christians do, but this time I feel anger. I have waited in hope many years for the chance to serve my lord in praise. And now the rejection has got me befuddled, and drifting. There is some merit to the excuse they gave for terminating me, but I know otherwise. My Christian beliefs tell me to forgive and go on, but I can't seem to go anywhere. A friend pointed out to me that this man (the manager) broke the law. Why should an enemy of God go unpunished by man? |

32 | reply for new creation ... thank you | Bible general Archive 2 | joel k | 103010
new creation ... do you think the business owner isn't a Christian because he is rich? One time I said he is a Christian and then I said he is a wealthy man. How does this contradict? If I could take the manager to court, I would, he's the one who broke the law. I was fired for lack of sales ... that's what I was told ... but I know the difference in how I was treated after he found out I shared Christ.
33 | about taking someone to court | Bible general Archive 2 | joel k | 102993
about taking someone to court ... sorry I'm slow ... this is my first day on this forum. Anyway, I was fired because I witnessed to a fellow employee (durring lunch and away from work) but the manager found out because the new Christian was excentric about his new life so much that he told everyone. I believe the manager must have a thorn in his butt about church or Christ. He told the new Christian not to hang around me because "those people will fill your head with crap that will mess your head up". The man who owns the business is a very wealthy man ... close friend to the president of U.S. ... lots of power .. not too likely he will give me the time of day. |

34 | Should a Christian take a man to court? | Prov 25:8 | joel k | 102957
Is it wrong for a Christian to take someone to court over an on-the-job religious descrimination charge? The man who owns the business is a Christian, but the man who descriminated against me is not.
