If you believed that Christ, and the Father are the same Person kindly explain this verse to me. Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. If they are the same Person why christ said it is only the Father the second coming of Christ. God bless, |

We are call to holiness Lu 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. 2Co 7:1 ¶ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Christ made that wine needed in celebration he is not commanded that we have to be drunk on that. Hope God will help you understand what you have posts. God bless, |

205 | What age do we not have to obey parents? | Mark 10:19 | jlpangilinan | 114220
It is not on what age, we have to obey them forever, unless they will teach us wrong. Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) Eph 6:3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. But if thier teaching will contradict the doctrine of christ we can disobey them, scriptures suported that. Lu 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. God bless, |

206 | Is praying for someone to die wrong? | Matt 22:39 | jlpangilinan | 114219
Yes it is wrong! God said Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Mt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. He pray for them, I am sure praying for them to die is not what Jesus Christ meant. Dont worry God knows how to justifies prayers (joke) God bless, |

209 | Does our actions help save us | NT general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 114194
What is your motive of doing kindness to other people? To be save?It is works can save us, it is the grace of the lord through faith. Doing good works is the proof that we have faith in God, this is how we show our faith. Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Mt 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. God bless, |

210 | Who is the Beloved Disciple? | Matt 4:21 | jlpangilinan | 114191
All the desciples were love by Christ: Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. It is John maybe the most (sweet, very close because he young like youngest son to his father) Easton Bible Dictionary Entry on: (3.) THE APOSTLE, brother of James the "Greater" (Mt 4:21; 10:2; He was the disciple whom Jesus loved. In zeal and intensity of character he was a "Boanerges" (Mr 3:17). This spirit once and again broke out (Mt 20:20-24; Mr 10:35-41; Lu 9:49,54). At the betrayal he and Peter follow Christ afar off, while the others betake themselves to hasty flight (Joh 18:15). At the trial he follows Christ into the council chamber, and thence to the praetorium (Joh 18:16,19,28) and to the place of crucifixion (19:26, 27). To him and Peter, Mary first conveys tidings of the resurrection (Joh 20:2), and they are the first to go and see what her strange words mean. After the resurrection he and Peter again return to the Sea of Galilee, where the Lord reveals himself to them (Joh 21:1,7). We find Peter and John frequently after this together (Ac 3:1; 4:13). John remained apparently in Jerusalem as the leader of the church there (Ac 15:6; Ga 2:9). His subsequent history is unrecorded. He was not there, however, at the time of Paul's last visit (Ac 21:15-40). He appears to have retired to Ephesus, but at what time is unknown. The seven churches of Asia were the objects of his special care (Re 1:11). He suffered under persecution, and was banished to Patmos (Re 1:9); whence he again returned to Ephesus, where he died, probably about A.D. 98, having outlived all or nearly all the friends and companions even of his maturer years. There are many interesting traditions regarding John during his residence at Ephesus, but these cannot claim the character of historical truth. God bless, |

Tribulation Mt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Mt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Rapture Mt 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mt 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Regeneration Mt 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; God bless, |

212 | Does Isaiah help Christ carry the cross? | Matt 27:32 | jlpangilinan | 114186
It was simon of cyrene help Jesus Mt 27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. Mt 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. (6.) A Jew of Cyrene, in North Africa, then a province of Libya. A hundred thousand Jews from Palestine had been settled in this province by Ptolemy Soter (B.C. 323-285), where by this time they had greatly increased in number. They had a synagogue in Jerusalem for such of their number as went thither to the annual feasts. Simon was seized by the soldiers as the procession wended its way to the place of crucifixion as he was passing by, and the heavy cross which Christ from failing strength could no longer bear was laid on his shoulders. Perhaps they seized him because he showed sympathy with Jesus. He was the "father of Alexander and Rufus" (Mt 27:32). Possibly this Simon may have been one of the "men of Cyrene" who preached the word to the Greeks (Ac 11:20). |

214 | StudyBibleForum or MyOpinionForum? | 2 Tim 3:16 | jlpangilinan | 114179
Hank, Very good reminder, I do hope I am not guilty with that, In my own little way, I tried to put scriptures in all of my positions and argument. Here in the Philippines in our church that is the decipline, if we have any discussion we tried to encourage everyone to quote the books, chapters and verse of the back up passages. Charis in one of his posts has very good reminder regarding the Forum guidelines charis, mentioned about descipline in everything, passages of the Bible, spelling, grammar etc. Although I am guilty about grammar, (as you know english is not my first language)I commend charis for posting that as descipline. I know my grammar is not good but I tried to participate to share and try to answer some questions ( I hope they understand) One thing I am sure there is passages back up in all of my argument. I hope many (if not all) will have chance to read that post of yours, as a reminder to everyone before engaging to any discussion. Why we have to rely on opinions and conclusions? Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: God bless, |

215 | What lesson of birds and flowers? | Matt 6:26 | jlpangilinan | 113850
Jesus want us to focus on heavenly things and would no be worried to much about eartly things such food garments etc. Jesus want us to have faith, if God feed the birds, God care for us more than the birds. Mt 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Today people concern is to earn money business position in the politics, they are to worried about the things that this world can offered but not worried about eternal life. Mt 6:19 ¶ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: Mt 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. If we serve God we must have faith that He will care for more than anything that He created, more than the birds or any fows of heaven. He will not leave us until the end of time. Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. God bless, |

216 | Can anyone else answer this question? | Joel 2:28 | jlpangilinan | 113697
No problem my friend, but again I want to strike on that you use "He wait so long" I dont think God the allpowerful allmighty have to "wait" we have to be reminded that God created the time and space, I dont think God is covered of that time He created. God bless, |
||||||
217 | Why did God wait to send the Holy Spirit | Joel 2:28 | jlpangilinan | 113325
Because He is God, He knows of what is the right time to send His Holy Spirit. Ps 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Because He is perfecr He knew it was the perfect time to sent His Holy Spirit. Everything He done is judgement. God did not wait so long, do you think wait for tomorrow or another day or day after tomorrow. He knew that when He sent His Holy Spirit that is the perfect time to send it because He is God. De 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. God bless, |

218 | Is this a sin to do | Ex 21:6 | jlpangilinan | 113252
Tim, I dont think being a light to the world will do with piercing and tattoo, I dont think a faithful servart of Christ will love to have those things as part of holiness. I dont believe a 70 years old pastors will be approriate and will do a good example doing those things, even it a matter of choices. God bless, |
||||||
219 | do piercing | Ex 21:6 | jlpangilinan | 113251
It is important! because if someone will tell me how he was faithful to Christ, then he love to put earings on her belly volumes of tatto in her body. I dont believed on Him. we are the light of the world, we have to set a good example, peircing and tattoo will not show you as a good Christian. God bless, |

220 | Did Christ forsake Himself | 2 Cor 13:14 | jlpangilinan | 113250
Jcsav, I hope you can answer my question about the "oneness". I hope you can explain those. If Jesus Christ and the Father is the same Person as you believed could you please explain this verse to me. Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Christ said, it His Father knew the time of His second coming, if they are the same Person how could it be? He must know that information. Please explain. Another thing. Mr 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Did Christ praying to another Person or Himself? Did He forsake Himself? Please explain. God bless, |
