203 | Who will inhabit the earth? | 2 Cor 5:8 | Asis | 84180
Go figure? We, who die before Jesus returns, will go to heaven we just won't stay there. I don't know what the Jehovah's Witnesses talk about. I'm too busy understanding what God is talking about. The problem today is we have been involved with religion for so long that its doctine has been accepted as truth. So when the truth comes along we call it heresy. Here is a for instance. Jesus said in John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [KJV] We believe that Jesus is going to build us some houses in heaven where we will live. We sing about it with hymns. A popular song by Eli said "that is all the lumber you sent." Yet we will live on the new earth in the new Jerusalem. Jerusalem will have many rooms, apartments, mansions in it. It will come down from heaven. Could that be what Jesus went to prepare? When we say that we won't live in heaven we are called bizarre and wierd and the defenders of religion attack. The seekers of truth look to the word of God and ask the Holy Spirit to instruct them in the truth. The truth needs NO defending. After all it is TRUTH. Mark 4:22 [Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known Mark 4:24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you--and more [besides] will be given to you who hear. [Amplified] The reference to Galations 1:10 is about responding to questions in the forum. My life is to please God. I have offered it as a living sacrifice to Him. I therefore respond to questions and comments (notes) with the truth, the Scriptures as God has revealed them to me.God reveals the knowledge of Christ to us, individually and that knowledge is always true to the scriptures. Regardless of how others respond, I know that God talks to his children and reveals that which is a mystery to them. If others don't believe then Romans 3:3 applies. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? [KJV] I will not allow their unbelief to affect my belief. God knows me and I know that He is talking to His people today. Scripture in context bears witness to His intent, His will. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? [KJV] I do not believe that God has made His word so complicated that it takes a degree from the hermenutical exegesical theological technical institute and semenary to understand it. There was a time when laymen led the church and it functioned just fine. Our relationship with God is a heart relationship. If ALL you do is done to please God, then when you are doing something that is displeasing to God He will let you know it. We call that conviction. If your heart is after God the conviction will lead to repentance and you will be right back where you were before. Pleasing God is the desire of your heart. You should not be concerned with your motives because your motive is to please God in all you do. yours in Christ, Jeff |

The reference to Galations 1:10 is about responding to questions in the forum. Mark 4:22 [Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known [Amplified] AMPLIFIED Mark 4:24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you--and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

213 | Who will inhabit the earth? | 2 Cor 5:8 | Asis | 84132
I'll probably be called bizarre and wierd for this answer, but I don't care the Father still loves me. Any how Gal. 1:10 (NIV) Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. God created us for one purpose, to rule the earth. At the end of the first five days of creation God saw that it was good. At the end of the sixth day . . . The Holy Bible, New International Version Gen. 1:26 through Gen. 1:29 (NIV) 26Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them RULE OVER (emph mine) the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. RULE OVER (emph. mine)the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” 29Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. Gen. 1:31 (NIV) 31God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. It was VERY GOOD after man was created. We can see very plainly that man was created for rulership of the earth. In fact we can see by reading Genesis 1 and 2 that there is no strife and no sin in the earth. From chapter 3 on the purpose of God's plan is to get us back into Genesis chapter 1 and 2. Jesus is the last Adam. He restored our relationship with God to that of the first Adam only better. Man is supposed to rule the earth and God has sent His Son to restore His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Col. 1:13 through Col. 1:14 (NIV) 13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Jesus will return as the triumphal King and rule the earth with us at His side. Rev. 21:1 through Rev. 21:4 (NIV) 1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” The city where we will dwell will come down from heaven. We will live on the new earth in our new bodies. Rom. 8:22 through Rom. 8:25 (NIV) 22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. The earth waits as we wait for that glorious day when we will spend eternity with Jesus in the new Jerusalem. It was corrupted when we were corrupted (Genesis 3). If I die before Jesus returns I will go to heaven. But when Jesus returns and I still live I will meet him in the clouds as He returns and I will return with Him. . . to earth. |

214 | still unpunished? | Rom 3:25 | Asis | 84058
I have to assume that the "their sins" in your question are non-beleivers. They will face the wrath of God because of their sin nature. As Paul says in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [KJV] This is because we have a sinful nature inherited through the seed of Adam. When Adam sinned we were all contained in him. We are his seed or were his seed until we believe in Jesus. There is no one born who does not have inherited sin. For this reason God in His love for His creation offers His righteousness to any who will beleive on His Son Jesus Christ. Romans 3:21-23 21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. All have sinned and the gift of God is offered to all who beleive. No one can escape God's judgement of their sin EXCEPT by believing God through faith in Jesus. Believing that Jesus died for our sins and paid the penalty God had for us. We were Children of disobedience our father was the devil and we were enslaved to him through sin. BUT NOW Jesus, the Son of God has restored us to our position as sons and daughters of God and joint heirs with Jesus. So here is our conundrum. When a man works his reward it is not a gift but wages for a debt. However, to us who have not done the work but believe that Jesus justified us, the ungodly, our faith is counted as RIGHTEOUSNESS. Without works, we have obtained it. When we did not deserve it God chose to get involved in our lives with His power and His might. God’s righteousness is available to all that believe. There is no one who is special, not even a Jew. No one has this right because he is somebody. When God looked upon Abraham and counted him as righteous he had not observed the ritual of circumcision, the ritual that Abraham performed to seal God’s covenant with him. Abraham became the father of all who believe God. Even those who are not descendants of Abraham. If you believe as Abraham did, you are his heir and are counted as righteous. |

I know that the Torah (Old Testament) is not written in chapters and there are no verse identifications. I assume, and I know that can get me into trouble) that the original greek manuscripts were also without chapter and verse. Here is my question when did the bible as we have it today gain its form? Who decided to put it together like it is? The order of the books in the Old Testament are not in the order they are in the Holy Scriptures (Hebrew). An example is the books 1 and 2 Chrionicles are at the end of the Holy Scriptures and Job comes after Proverbs, to name a few. Any one want to do my home work for me? |

Why would Paul say hello from someone who resides in you? Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead DWELL IN YOU (Emphisis mine), he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that DWELLETH ("eth" means it is a continuing thing asis) in you. [KJV] He says that the Holy Spirit dwells in you. You should say hello everyday when you wake up. Good morning Holy Spirit let's go out there and do God's will today. Fill me up and let's go. |

Correction: In the Quaker church I was taught that santification is a process. The process I see in scripture seems to be the renewing of my mind with the outcome that I show what God's Good Acceptable Perfect will is. In other words believe God in every way, His mind becomes my mind. Can I get an Amen or some correction.

If being sanctified is being holy or set apart or being in right relationship with God. If it is not, give a better definition. But if it is what I said then am I or am I not? These scriptures seem to say that I am. 1 Peter 1:16 seems to me to a command. The process I was taught in the evangelical church (Quaker)is really the renewing of our mind so we believe God in every way. »Strong’s Help hagiazo, Greek 37, Strong’s hagiazo, hag-ee-ad'-zo; from Greek 40 (hagios); to make holy, i.e. (ceremony) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate :- hallow, be holy, sanctify. Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 1 Peter 1:15-16 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; [16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Romans 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. 1 Cor. 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1 Cor. 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor. 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. Ephes. 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 1 Thes. 4:3-4 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: [4] That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 1 Thes. 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thes. 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 1 Tim. 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 2 Tim. 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
