Hello friend, and welcome to the forum. I appreciate you effort but I believe you should realize that the main thrust of this forum is the Bible and what God has to say with regards to various doctrines. For example: If you would like to know what the Bible says with reference to the free gift that God has for people, I’m sure we could point you in the right direction, and show you personally how you could receive it; even though it is a fabulous mystery to most, and there are few that are actually chosen to receive it, yet you might be one of them! This is a call to the curious of heart. Have a great day, CDBJ |

Greetings Hic, and welcome to the forum. The true church isn’t an “organization” made of brick and wood etc but it’s actually a living body and Christ Jesus is the head. Those that put their undivded trust in what God’s Son did for them, on the cross, are its only members. The true church that Jesus is building is undetectable as a visible unit. There are many people that are members of a church but they aren’t members of "The Church". Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. The invisible church is a work of God and not of man, or as the Bible says flesh and blood didn’t do the revealing to you, but God did it through His Spirit. Matthew 16:18 (B) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The church is still growing and Jesus is the one who is building it, one member at a time, as unbelievers change their train of thinking and put their faith and hopes in Christ. Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. The reason there are so many denominations is because people are assuming something that the Bible doesn’t really say due to the fact that they aren’t true members of God’s family. They are twisting Scripture around to their own destruction. Peter wrote, speaking of Paul; 2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: The true members of God’s family understand the membership of the church that Jesus is building because it has been revealed to them. Ephes. 1:9-13 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: [10] That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: [11] In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: [12] That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Have you come to place yet where God has placed his seal on you? In other words, do you have full assurance that eternal life is yours as a gift from God? Have a nice day, CDBJ |

Greetings wfoster and welcome to the forum, Type in the word Sabbath in the search section on the right side of the home page and you can spend hours reading about answers to your question. A quick response: Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Have you experienced yet the freedom that this verse speaks of, i.e. being in Christ Jesus? If you could please ask and answer questions using the lower case it sure would make it easer for everyone to read. When a person types, using all caps, it seem like they’re shouting at us, if you get my drift! I hope you have a lot fun on the forum, CDBJ |

188 | rapture or tribulation? | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 175283
Greetings SuQ and welcome to the forum, It’s quite obvious and most all students of the Bible will agree with the following. 1 Thes. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, The saving of ones soul isn’t the issue here but a rescue out from under the wrath of God, which as scripture states is fire. 2 Thes. 1:7-8 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: The problem for the believer will be trying to endure the tribulation that Satan’s man will be dishing out to the members of God’s family. Those that are able to exercise the trying of their faith will be removed just before the Lord decides it’s enough and strikes back. Rev. 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. We know that the salvation of the soul is dependent on faith in Christ “not endurance”; so the previous verse is again speaking about rescue out from trouble: the same circumstance is further taught by Paul. Tribulation can be from different sources biblically speaking. Satan can inflect tribulation through his world system and the Lord can inflect tribulation as well in response to those that have been troubling God’s loved ones. Paul is speaking here, 2 Thes. 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Believers in God’s Messiah have never, collectively, had to endure what they will have to endure in the coming years when Satan’s man of sin will be calling the shots in the world system. 2 Thes. 2:7-9 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. [8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Jesus warned about this event. Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. That warning is for believers only; the “unbelievers” on the side of Satan’s man are going to be saying, “peace and safety” and believing all of his lies. 1 Thes. 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. They are sure that they have the bull by the tail and every thing is going in their favor; then a situation transpires and the objects of their persecution, believers, are miraculously snatched away, “the rapture”. It happens so fast that they won’t even have time to catch a second breath. No left behind luster when this happens, Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. The word “They” represents the unbeliever, “Noe” represents the believer who was raised in the ark just as we will be raised at the rapture before God’s wrath is poured out. Have a great day, CDBJ |

189 | number of angels in the bible | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 175706
Greetings lilstewart, and welcome to the forum. There a literally thousands of angels but we only know the names of several of them both good and bad. Jesus is speaking in the next verse. Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? Roman history shows that there were anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000 men in a legion. Assuming that everything that Jesus spoke was truth and it is, it could have been, if my math is correct, up to 72,000 angels at a moments notice and that was likely only the ones that weren’t in gauged in other activity at the time. The actual number or count of all the angels is probably astronomically huge! Have a great day, CDBJ |

191 | Pre-Trib Rapture Assistance | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 175852
Hi Kathy, In view of your question, “My question is, can somebody give me examples of G-d's consistency relative to removing believers from wrath?” Where the problem is, isn’t the removing of the believers from God’s wrath but what actually constitutes the wrath of God. Revelation is very clear on the issue that God’s wrath doesn’t start until Chapter 6 verses 15, 16, 17 Rev. 6:15-17 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; [16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: [17] For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Everything up to that point is the evil that’s present in the world along with the vengeance of Satan towards God’s people. The devil is still the god of this world. 2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Just as the church age and the temple in Israel ran together for a while until AD 70, even so believers in Christ and Daniel’s 70th week will run hand and hand for a while before the rapture removes the believers. The next exhibit of God’s wrath, to the world, will be fire. 2 Thes. 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, [8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: These past verses refer to God’s wrath, fire. The next verse tells us when it will happen. 2 Thes. 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. The rapture takes place sometime during the last part of the tribulation and “before” the wrath of God is poured out. Just like it was the (day) the floods came and just like it was the (day) Lot left Sodom. The removal of believers and the wrath of God happen all on one and the same day. No fictitious left behind nonsense, that’s a deception! As soon as the believers are removed God will strike with fire and all the world will know what’s going on because it will be the most spectacular event in all the history of the world; no silent sneaking away. Believers and unbelievers alike will see God coming. Rev. 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. The Believers that endure the tribulation will be looking up and the unbelievers will be also; only the believers will be delivered or saved in a moment, in the blink of an eye, from God’s wrath and the unbelievers will be looking for a cave to hide in because they will know what’s coming next. Believers that “aren’t” expecting tribulation before the rapture are going to be devastated. 2 Thes. 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Things are going to be so tough for believers because nothing as bad as they are going through has ever happened before. Matthew 24:21-22 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. The days are shortened for believers because of the rapture taking place. The shortening of the days is only for believers in Christ Jesus with reference to the period that Daniel spoke of in the prophesy of the 70th week. I use to go along with the pretrib concept and I sure wish it was true but Scripture says otherwise. Why bother to warn believers if they are supposed to be gone before all the trouble starts? 192 | Lands razed ; prophesized be barren ever | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 176045
Hi Bill, If you want to do your friend a big favor you should elaborate on the person of Jesus the Son of God because unbelievers don’t have the capacity to understand other things in the Bible. 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The only thing, biblically speaking, that can make any sense to an unbeliever is the message about Jesus Christ. I always try, when leading a spiritual conversation, to direct the person to God’s solution, Jesus Christ, because He is the answer to understanding the Bible. Since you are demonstrating to your friend the fact that prophecy is fulfilled I would suggest the prophecy’s about the promise of the Messiah and how they were all accomplished in Jesus when he came into the world. Examples: Isaiah 53: This same group of verses was used by Philip to bring a person to the knowledge of Christ when the person didn’t understand the Scripture he was reading Acts 8:30-35 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? [31] And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. [32] The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: [33] In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. [34] And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? [35] Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. It’s hard to miss in a conversation with an individual if you just expound on Jesus and who he is. The Book of John was written to bring a person to the understanding of just who Jesus is and this understanding can cause one to put their faith in Jesus, as a result Christ will give them the gift of eternal life when they fully trust in Him. John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. Pray for boldness to speak about Christ, and that God will reveal the truth about His Son to those that you are speaking with. Have a great day, CDBJ |

193 | where did God come from? | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 176047
Greetings tinaraine, and welcome to the forum. For starters, we can’t force God to do anything “our way” or on our terms, that He hasn’t promised. If one wants to find out about God it would be in their best interest to play by God’s rules since God is not in need of us but we are in deep need Him, yet most don’t even know it! Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (modern day translation could read) God is saying in effect if someone is just curious about Me forget it; but now if one really mean business, and is diligent, and wants to have a personal relationship with the living God, and they are willing to trust Him, he will reveal Himself through His Word, but if one is just playing games, eternity is a long time to realized that they messed up beyond repair! If your Husband is serious and really wants to know God he can do it by himself (ALONE) by starting in the book of Matthew and reading through the book of John. (BUT)Tell him to pray and ask God to reveal Himself to him and what ever God shows him tell him to believe it. All preconceived ideas must be forgotten and he must be ready to have a change of mind with regard to what God will show him. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. This is how I came to the understanding of God and what He did for me in the person of His loving Son; so I know it works! The Key to understanding the Bible and coming to God resides in the Jesus Christ. Here is God’s way and the only way that one can come to God the Father and knowing Him. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Have a great day, CDBJ |

194 | who is Nicholatan in revelation | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 176502
Greetings and welcome to the forum, 2:6 The Nicolaitans were believers who compromised their faith in order to enjoy some of the sinful practices of Ephesian society. The name Nicolaitans is held by some to be roughly the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word for “Balaamites.” Balaam was a prophet who induced the Israelites to carry out their lustful desires (see Rev. 2:14 and Numbers 31:16). When we want to take part in an activity that we know is wrong, we may make excuses to justify our behavior, saying that it isn’t as bad as it seems or that it won’t hurt our faith. Christ has strong words for those who look for excuses to sin. From (Life Application Notes) CDBJ |

195 | Go to heaven or hell? | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 176583
Hi Ardmore, Don't don’t worry about your English I think it’s great. The number of people that enter heaven will get there because they have been given the key to enter. Everyone in Heaven will have gotten there the same exact way, with the same exact matching key. The key was the same in the Old Testament as it is in the New Testament it’s just that the key has been given a name in the New Testament. The Apostle Peter was given the keys and he passed them out in large numbers as did the other Apostles. Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Without having this key a person can't be free to enter heaven; they will be bound in this life. The key is the only “way” into heaven and it’s free to all that want it; but one must truly trust and believe that the key will work or they won't be able to receive it. Do you have the key yet and will you be in heaven with the "few that have found it? Have a great day, CDBJ |

Hi C, Lots are like when we draw straws to see who wins, and I always draw the shot one! Check this out from Strong’s, which gives the Koine Greek word for lots. kleros, klay'-ros; probably from Greek 2806 (klao) (through the idea of using bits of wood, etc., for the purpose); a die (for drawing chances); by implication a portion (as if so secured); by extension an acquisition (especially a patrimony, figurative) heritage, inheritance, lot, participle CDBJ |

199 | Emergent Church question | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 177171
Greetings MJH, I don’t have a clue as to what the “Emergent Church” is or even if such a situation is prevalent today. I don’t know why one would need help in spotting, what ever it is, that would cause them to emerge if they are teaching something other then what we already have contained within the confines of the Bible? Paul pretty much zeroed in on a group that was trying to preach another Jesus, as it were. Galatians 1:7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. It’s interesting to note the way our Secrete Service trains it’s agents to spot counterfeit money. There are millions of bogus bills in circulation and it’s literally impossible to point out all of the phony money that’s going around so to save a lot of wasted time and effort the agents just know for certain what the genuine currency looks like and all the rest are counterfeits. If the church you are attending is drifting off center from the Bible then I would say they are wrong. I am having virtually that exact same scenario, in the local assembly, where I attend and as a result I am folding up my tent and moving on. When it comes to the point where I don’t feel comfortable advising a new believer to attend the church that I attend, for spiritual growth, then I would say there is a proverbial fly in the ointment! Psalm 119:160 The sum of Thy word is truth, And every one of Thy righteous ordinances is everlasting. 1 Thes. 5:21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; Have a great day, CDBJ |

200 | Is God punishing Israel in Jer 9: 13-16? | Bible general Archive 3 | CDBJ | 177292
Greetings Emilio and welcome to the forum, God presented Israel with a conditional covenant which they continually break, as a nation, from the exodus to this very day. Proverbs 1:24 "Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention; Jeremiah 11:10 "They have turned back to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers." Jeremiah 13:10 'This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband, which is totally worthless. There are numerous account in the Bible that refer to the final trouble that Israel will face but they all pale by comparison to the final trouble. Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. Most of Israel will be wiped out in the future but a remnant will be delivered. Romans 11:25-26 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. [26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: The period of time that you asked about is a foreshadowing, a type that is yet to come, i.e. not the actual situation the way I see it in Jeremiah 9:13-16.
