161 | Is eating out on Sunday wrong? | Romans | michael03 | 192575
Thank you lionheart. I do agree there are enough disputable matters to go around. My friend gave no scripture ref., that I can remember. One main problem is the different beliefs and religions/denominations. All I need to look at is Rom. 14:11. Shalom, michael03
162 | Christians living together outside of ma | 1 Corinthians | michael03 | 193954
Shalom, brother. I quite agree with your statement. As a matter of fact, I was just having a similar discussion with some brothers, today. The world is getting worse, in just about every aspect. Now, i do have dish network, but I do not have those movie channels. There are even some cartoons my sons are not allowed to watch, even though they are made for children. More and more ads are using models with less and less clothes, ads that are aimed at younger viewers that do promote sex before marriage. All I can say is everybody needs love, compassion, and forgiveness. God bless, michael
163 | I Corinthian 13:6 | 1 Corinthians | michael03 | 194431
Shalom. The word rejoice means delight. That verse 1 Cor. 13:6 tells us that love does not delight in sinning. Love delights in truth(Jesus Christ). You need to read the verses right before, and right after to get the full knowledge. God bless, michael

165 | Can people still be a pharisee? | 1 Cor 1:30 | michael03 | 192944
Hello, Doc. Check this out. The pharisees top "flaws" was being hypocritical. They thought that if the outside was clean, the inside was, and that they were above others.Matt. 23:25,28. Now, I am not saying that there is a sect of them running around, but that the attitude of them is still prevalent in our society today. Also, remember the pharisee that struck his chest, thanking the Lord that he was not like the other man? Jehovah Shalom, michael03 |

166 | Can people still be a pharisee? | 1 Cor 1:30 | michael03 | 192946
Hello, Doc. Gooooood point.( on all of it). A few days ago, I heard a preacher on 101.1 fm teaching on jealousy. He used Saul(old testament) to show what jealousy can drive a person to. I do agree with the closeness of myself to the bad guys.( Of course, no matter what, I still fall waaaaaaayy short of my Lord.)This goes along with my reading in Rom.14:1-12. Bless you. Jehovah Shalom, michael

173 | facing the problem | Ephesians | michael03 | 194018
Shalom, brothers and sisters. I have a question that has bugged me for a few years now. I was hoping to lead a friend to Christ, and to set an example to the person to show Jesus in me. I had a friend who was saved that would use mild profanity around the first friend. well, later I went to the second, to try to explain the problems the profanity would cause. My friend said I was judging him. now tell me, how exactly do you handle that situation? I was not there to judge anyone, only to let this man know what the problem was. Never once did I condem him to hell, accuse him, or belittle him. this has been on my mind for about 4 or 5 years. God bless, michael
174 | Serious "option" for believers! | Ephesians | michael03 | 194496
Shalom. Grieve means to cause sorrow, cause to feel pain, etc. As for Eph.4:30, to me it would seem that doing anything that goes against Jesus, would cause the Holy Spirit to grieve. Unrepented sin in a persons life is an example. Especially doing something wrong, while at the same time, knowing the Holy Spirit is telling you to stop. God bless, michael
175 | Serious "option" for believers! | Ephesians | michael03 | 194502
Shalom,CDBJ. Yes, it would be safe to say that. That is only my opinion, going by the definition of grieve. Right now, I am reading in 2 Tim. Now 2 Tim. 1:7 is " For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love, andof a sound mind." Well, the Holy Spirit is that, plus so much more. Since the Holy Spirit is sinless, I would say any sin grieves the Spirit. Unless there is something particular that Jesus is talking about. So if you have some knowledge on that , please let me know. I am still learning the fullness of God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. God bless, michael
176 | Serious "option" for believers! | Ephesians | michael03 | 194546
Shalom brother. Knowing that as humans, with a sinful nature, it would seem that as long as we are here in the body, the grieving of the Holy Spirit will be an almost constant thing, then. Because of Romans 7:21, "evil is always present." So how would it be possible to live in the body, and not grieve the Spirit? God bless, michael
177 | Can I go to Heaven if I smoke? | Eph 2:8 | michael03 | 192775
Hello, just a note. My cousin is asst. pastor. He says that smoking will not send you to hell, but it will make you smell like you have been there.(HAHA). I had smoked for about 15 years. The hardest thing to do was put them down. I prayed for hlep and relief. 1 year after I was saved, I put them down for good.(Jan. 17,2001)" I can do all things through Christ...." Shalom, michael03
178 | Can I go to Heaven if I smoke? | Eph 2:8 | michael03 | 192782
Hello Doc, by all means quote him. Thank you for your reply. I had never thought of it that way. Although it is a victory, without the forgivness, it really does not matter. Praise the Lord. Shalom,Michael03 |

179 | Lower parts of the earth? | Eph 4:9 | michael03 | 196171
Can somebody explain Eph.4:9-10?What is the lower parts of the earth, exactly? And why would He descend there? michael
180 | Are there any true prophets/prophetss' t | Eph 4:11 | michael03 | 194426
Shalom. If that is the case, where does that leave the five fold ministry in Eph.4:11-12? According to those verses, prophets are still relevent. I do think that some people of the church use the word "prophet" to make their name more important. I have seen that prophets not only preach on prophesy in the Word of the Lord, but prophesy on peoples lives through the Holy Spirit. God bless, michael
