The part that is laughable is the notion that she was going to roll the stone away from a sepulcher even though there was a Roman guard on duty and the grave had a seal on it which if broken it was punishable by death. CDBJ |

162 | Exactly what does Mark 15:42 mean | Mark 15:42 | CDBJ | 228152
The notion that it was Friday came down from a source that didn’t know the facts of the Hebrew feast. It didn’t say that the next day was Saturday it said that the next day was a Sabbath. The Passover was celebrated on the 14th of Nisan. The next day was the beginning of the feast of unleavened bread and was a high holy day starting on the 15th of Nisan and ending on the first day of the week which was the 17th and a Sunday. Checking back one will find the day of the Pesach or Passover was on a Thursday and Christ being the firstfruit of those to rise was on a Sunday and the 17th. The 14th was a Thursday if on will do the math. Have a great day, I hope this helps, CDBJ |

163 | Is the judgment day truly 21/05/2011??? | Joel 2:30 | CDBJ | 227793
This is actually someone’s imagination working overtime! The day of the Lord must follow the following. Joel 2:30-31 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. Have a great day. CDBJ |

164 | They immediately dropped their nets! WOW | Matt 16:17 | CDBJ | 226556
Greetings humility, The reason Peter understood wasn’t because he was more of an intellect then all the others it was because of what Jesus explained to him. Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. No one can understand who Jesus is apart from the personal intersession and teaching by God Himself. John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they (the true believers) shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Have a great day, CDBJ |

171 | The sin of smoking cigarettes. | Matt 25:33 | CDBJ | 226279
Smoking is in violation of the following and it’s the verse that caused me to quit smoking over 40 some years ago. 1 Cor. 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Smoking had me in it’s power because I couldn’t quit, I was addicted! I knew that smoking was going to kill me but I just didn’t have the power to quit, that is until I trusted Jesus for my salvation then I had the power to overcome the temptation. Every time I would get the desire to light up I would just pray until the desire went away. It took months but the Lord helped me do it and I got a lot of praying done! I had a Christian brother tell me one time, “smoking won’t send anyone to hell”, of course he was a smoker, and I said he was right but I told him that it made him smell like he had already been there! John tells us the thing that will send a person to hell. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Knowing the dangers of smoking now days is about as close as one can get to committing suicide, which brings another verse into play. Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. One can’t sow to his fleshly desires and then pray for a crop failure. If a person comes down with lung cancer from smoking it’s a violation of Gal. 6:7 to pray for healing; I know this is harsh but it's what God’s Word says! CDBJ |

That’s your decision to make from the doctrine that you have residing in your soul! We don’t give advice just Bible doctrine. Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. Don’t look to man for your answers turn to the Lord. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Are you one in need of help; do what the verse says. I might be jumping to the assumption that you have, at some point in time, had a personal relationship with the Lord and have trusted in the finished work of Christ? If you haven’t had this experience yet everything that I have said up to this point won’t make a great deal of sense to you. Is that the case? CDBJ |

Greetings, I hope you receive this in the same love and truth by which it is sent. Just as Christ faced issues that confronted him while he was residing on this earth we must due likewise. Christ faced problems head on with the doctrine that he had residing in His soul. We must do the same with the Bible doctrine that we have metabolized through the imperative command to study the Word so that we won’t be ashamed when problems arise. 2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. When we have to use others as our crutch to stabilize us in our decisions it signifies a glitch in our Christian way of life. The studyBibleForum is in place to help provide Biblical answers to Biblical question not provide counseling to the participants who utilize the forum. If believers can’t withstand the charge of the mosquito what will be their demise when the charge of the elephant comes? Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 1 Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. We bear up under the pressures of life by claiming many of the “seven thousand promises” that God has for us along with His guarantee of there fulfillment. God’s Word can handle all of our problems but just like food on the shelf of a grocery store it doesn’t do us any good until we eat it and digest it. Many times God sends us trials to test us, i.e. if we are residing in His strength or depending on our own energy of the flesh. Have a good day, CDBJ |

175 | Are we born a sinner or do we become one | Bible general Archive 4 | CDBJ | 225860
It isn't a sin issue since the death of Christ, it's a Son issue. 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. People’s “sins aren’t even mentioned” at the white throne judgment and they are lost individuals for sure! What is mentioned is what they did in the way of works instead of trusting in the finished work of Christ. CDBJ |

179 | Bible against taking some else's offense | Ex 4:12 | CDBJ | 225476
Not everything posted on this forum can be assumed as from the Lord. Example: “How can a dead Bible take offense to someone's words?” From that statement some could assume that the Bible is dead, where just the opposite is in fact the case. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Where the Word of God, the Bible, is concerned it always stands in judgment of us, we never stand in judgment of it. 2 Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; CDBJ |

180 | People saved during the tribulation | Rev 7:9 | CDBJ | 225430
Greetings, I assume that you are referring to the verse in II Thes. 2 Thes. 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. There are many that get confused by this verse and that’s due largely to the fact that they don’t realize the period of time mentioned is also called the time of Jacob’s trouble. Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. Does this sound familiar, “! for that day is great, so that none is like it” Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. This time of trouble is only possible because the protector of God’s people is commanded to stand aside for the progression of Satan’s final fling before Christ neutralizes his demonic actions by His return. If one knows who the protector of God’s people is they would have the answer. Daniel 10:21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince. Daniel 12:1-4 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Did you notice the rapture in verse two? 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. There is a one thousand year span between the first and last part of this verse. CDBJ |
