165 | Defining "Truth" | Josh 10:12 | Hank | 6601
Lionstrong, are you seriously searching for spiritual truth, or is it some other kind of truth that you have in mind? If it is the latter, I don't think this forum is the proper medium on which to address some kind of esoteric, philosophical definition of truth. Why do you continue to press your point, whatever it is, unless you merely wish to amuse yourself in the manner of a cat toying with a mouse? You say that "truth" is not defined in Scripture. If spiritual truth is not defined in Scripture, where are you going to find the definition? If the general, generic definition of "truth" is what you want, avail yourself of a dictionary. Why must we push issues on this forum beyond the limit of propriety? To what avail is it? It benefits no one to have the same old issues, some of them pointless to begin with, debated ad nauseam. --Hank

170 | Quest for Truth | Josh 10:12 | Hank | 6478
Don't you feel, Lionstrong, that the Bible gives an adequate definition of what truth is? Passages are ample. As good a place as any to begin the search is John 14:6. The Bible, for me, is a more reliable resource in one's quest for absolute truth than scientific or philosophic "truth" whose definitions are ever changing, or anyone's opinion whose worth is essentially worthless. --Hank
