biblicalman: Dear brother in Christ. There is no "theoretically" about Islam, the Qur'an or "Muhammad Muslims". The Qur'an clearly calls for the murder of Christians and Jews. Christians and Jews are called "infidels". The QUR"AN SAYS TO KILL THE INFIDELS. No where in the Qur'an does Mohammad say to welcome Christians and Jews. I would welcome any proof you have in any Qur'an that has any such statement. In fact Christians who recant their faith, but are not Muslin are called Djinny's and must pay for the life every year or face death. You do state some things correct. But the Jews are to be wiped of the face of the earth, that is not a very kind welcome, as I see it. Blessings. justme |

144 | Cremation after death? Go to heaven? | Ezek 37:4 | justme | 228384
Doc: I have had a hard time dealing with the subject of cremation. I believe cremation is a rather sad thing to read about in the news paper. In our community when a person is cremated, it reads that such a person died on the date and place. Then it say no services are planned at this time becaues at the persons request a service will be held later. Ofter just a private for the spreading of the ashes and that's it. No record for future family to make, or way of fimding what happened to the ashes. It is almost as if the persons life just ended and that's it. A memorial service with a casket or urn really helps with natural grief for those who knew the deceased. Even with those deceased who have no one to contact, and are basicly paupers have a clergy to say a prayer before being burried in places where I have been. I think it's important to at give recognition to God who gives all persons life. We have had family members choose cremation. There was no memorial service for several months. This was like the person just stopped existing. This left an empty feeling and a deeper feeling of loss. Again this is just what I have observed, and personally felt. Blessings Doc. justme |

145 | Obesity? | 1 Cor 6:19 | justme | 228340
Biblicalman: I have reread my two posts. I made too much about the feelings of some hurting believers I am dealing with now. You are certainly correct in what you have said. I have seem one person who overcame smoking and being overweight. Now that person sees no reason for anyone to be obese or for anyone to smoke. This person now has become so obnoxious. The true test is that of how long a person can stay an overcomer. I sincerely see I was a real pain, and I regret being so harsh. Please accept my sincere apology. Blessings |

146 | Obesity? | 1 Cor 6:19 | justme | 228326
Biblicalman: I think this type of judgement leads to legalism. How many square feet of house is geting greedy? Is 1200 sq ft to large for two people? How many pair of shoes should one person have, and not be considered greedy? Should a person trade in their vehicle every two or three years, or drive it beyone 200,000 miles? Is eating out at Wendy's better than eating at a fancy stake house with special guests? What should a Pastor get paid, at the low wage or the avrage church members wage, or higher than the higest? How many Scripture verses can I read and still feel it's enough? Most people in the world don't have a car, two pair of shoes, a house with a tolet, money in their pocket, food that will last beyond the next day, and a Bible of their own. When we make judgements that cast a doubt on a fellow brother or sister that we are stepping in where the Holy Spirit works. Let's work at encouraging each other to grow in the Lord and let the Lord work on areas that are sensitive and may cause a person to become so hurt, and they drop out. I am not talking about sin that needs to be confronted. Often those who have overcome a problem want others who have the same problem to overcome the problem as they did. Shame is used to show off how great a victory they have won. Smoking, weight loss seem to be the ones that are the sins we notice first. Maybe removing the log in our eye first is best followed first. Blessings. justme |

147 | Are tatoos allowed? | Lev 19:28 | justme | 228249
Beja: I had a very close older mentor, who was retired from the United States Navy. He surrendered to Christ at the Pacific Garden Mission located in Chicago IL. while on leave before his retirement from the Navy around 35 yrs old. Soon after he and his wife felt Gods call into the ministry and he studied at Moody Bible College. He also worked as a minister at the Pacific Garden Misson while in Bible College. Before he attended Moody B.C. he felt so ashamed of the naked lady on his right arm, he took a razor blade and attempted to scrape the tattoo off his arm. From that point on he wore long slieve shirts for the rest of his life. He showed me the mess on his arm, and I was able to see the deep wounds and still the outline of a female figure. Les Gentry was this dear friend and mentor to me for nearly 30 years. Les encouraged me and my wife while in college, seminary, and in full time ministry. Les and his wife are with the Lord now. Les encouraged an innumerable pastors and missionaries. The point is he was ashamed of his "mess on my arm" all his life after surrendering to Christ. I do not believe a tattoo is wise at anytime. For me, I believe it is a sin, and I do not put aside the Old Testament instruction about marking the body. However if anyone is so head strong and determined to be branded (tattooed) then let it be for a witness to their faith in Christ. Justme |

casb40: I find you answer twisting some important facts. pleasuring one's self in not fornication, unless it involves thinking of a person you dream you are involved with. To say pleasuring yourself always is done with thinking thoughts of having sex with someone else is completely untrue. perhaps you might talk with some christian women who are away from their husbands due to military service. Such advice that pleasuring is fornication is in error, and caused extreme guilt which is wrong. justme |

Brother Beja: I will suggest some ways to help become educated and be able witness to Muslims. www.thestraightway.com Usama Dakdot, a Christian, his father was a Pastor in Egypt. Usama Dakdot being raised in Egypt attending school there, has extensive knowledge and speaks Arabic as his first language. Usams Dakdot has been graduated from Southern Baptsit seminary. Usama Dakdot has translated an accurate translation of the Qur'an into English. "I present this true and accurate English translation of the kareem(generous) Qur'an so that those who do not know the truth about Islam from its orignal source of corruption and hate may know the truth that will set then free." Usama Dakdots book is titled THE GENEROUS QUR'AN An accurate, modern English translation of the Quran, Islam's holiest book. Usama Dakdot says "many ask the question:" "Why do Muslims terrorize and hate Jews, Christians, and others?" "The true answer has been suppressed by Muslim leaders and by some in the media. Many believe that terrorists are just extremists or Islamic fascists, but simple reading will reveal that the Qur'an itself is the source of terror. Islam is continually tauted as "a religion of peace," yet the Qur'an itself does not call for peace. Indeed, "Islam does not mean "peace," but rather "submission." Western Muslims only speak of "peace" because they do not presently have "the upper hand." Listen to what the Qur'an itself commands and consider it well: "So do not be weak and do not call for peace when you have the upper hand. And Allah is with you, and he will not leave from you (for) your work." (The Generous Qur'an 47:35)" Usama Dakdot has been intervied by Brandon Howse on WORLDVIEW WEEKEMD. This interview is at www.worldviewweekend.com the interview can be purchased. The title of the DVD is "The worldview WAR of ISLAM" I do endorse this DVD, and have it myself. The Qur'an has been translated more than 20 times. Usama says "They have whitewashed to hide the true evilness of Islam." In the interview Brannon Howse and Usama Dakdot "discuss laws that have been introduced that would make it a crime to speak against Islam. What is Sharia law and how is it being implemented in America?" "Did Muhammad have a six year old wife?" Usama Dakdot and his ministry is to awaken Christians and our nation to truth about Islam. I own the cd of this interview, and it is eye opening for Christians. The Qur'an that Usama Dakdot has translated is an alarm that Christians need to pay attention to. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us we are not to be timid because we have power and love of Jesus Christ. We as Christians need to be able to defend our faith. But unless we know what the evil Islam teaches, we can be fooled, and be ignorant of how to witness to Muslims. Islam is not just religious but political. In every place Islam starts and converts are won evil grows. Sharia law is the goal of Islam, and enslaves those who won't become Muslims, or kills them. The United States is called the "great satan", and Israel the "little satan". 1 Peter 5:8 "Be of sober spirit, be on alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." Satan is the god of Islam called Allah, in my opinion. I pray, we as disciples are prepared to witness to those enslaved in Islam. Blessings. justme |

159 | Have we been asleep? | Bible general Archive 4 | justme | 226934
Beja: I understand your concern. However, I encourage being in deep Bible study so one can defend their faith, and be able to witness to Muslims. I doubt very few know how to even point out the flaws in the Q'uran, and give a Biblical support to prove how Scripture is contrary to Islam. Islam allows for just about every sin the Bible says calls us not to do. I have found most Christians have no idea how to witness, say nothing about dealing with a opportunity to witness to a Muslim. We better learn soon, as this is a chance of a lifetime to change our country for Christ. Blessings. There even Muslin's in congress, school teachers, doctor's, and in just about every place we go. I have observed most people have no idea what the Q'uran says, and those who think they do most generally are just repeating what someone told them. We need to be well informed to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. For a Muslim to surrender to Jesus Christ is a huge decision that can cost them their family and even their life. We however have little if any major changes to surrender to Christ compared the Muslim's. That's all I am saying Beja. Blessings. justme |
