Hi Emmaus, Thank you for your response to my question which is appended hereunder for ease of reference. "Moses brought down the 10 commandments[Exodus20] and the Laws as enumerated in Exodus 21 more than 2000 years ago.Living conditions, life style, human behavour and etc,etc have since changed considerably. Thus, how relevant are these Laws to the present time? Maybe some of these can be considered obsolete!" Repeat- some of the Laws only!To illustrate my point, I quote a couple of examples: 1.Exodus21:15 Anyone who attacks his father or mother must be put to death. 2.21:16 Anyone who kidnaps another-----must be put to death. 3.21:17 Anyone who curseshis father or mother must be put to death. Are these Laws still relevant to present time? Your comments are invited. With love in Christ. FytRobert |

Hi, John10:30. "I and the Father are one" so said Jesus. This verse would super- ficially convince one and all that Jesus and the Father are one and the same Person/Spirit/God. But in order to have a better understanding of the message that this verse intend to convey, it is necessary to refer to the context that Jesus was talking about. In the preceding verses,Jesus was narrating about how He and His Father were caring, guarding and protecting the sheep. In this context,Jesus and His Father are one--of one mind sharing the same caring and loving thought. Your views are solicited. With love in Christ. FytRobert |

Hi Prayon, Lev.18:22 " Do not lie with a man as one lies with a womwn, that is detestable." I have looked up the word "lie" in a dictionary which offers several explanations, all of which do not have connotation of sex.So, is this verse [Lev.18:22] open to interpretation? Unlike Lev.18:23 which is directly related to sex. "Do not have sexual relationship with an animal......" Your comments, please With love in Christ. FytRobert |

Hi Radioman2, Thess.5:23-"May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" In your reply you said the above spirit is a man's spirit which is different from the Holy Spirit. So, can I conclude that a Believer has two spirits ,namely, a man's spirit and a Holy Spirit, whilst a non-believer has only one spirit, man's spirit? Your further comments, please. FytRobert |

HI EdB, Thanks for your response. In view of your comments, does it follow that the great judgement day is meant for non-believers only? According to NT all believers ascend to Heaven at death and non-believers descend to hades at death-by this, judgement has in fact been already effected. So, this renders the great jedgement day of no effect! In order to clear certain points in my mind, I am inclined to pursue this subject further. I therefore seek your patience. With Love in Christ. FytRobert |

Hi, WHAT WILL GO TO HELL FOR PUNISHMENT? Many thanks to many of you who have responded to my post in connection with the above heading. From the various comments received recently,it is gathered that the following sequence of events will take place after death. 1.A human has 3 spiritual parts: Body- soul- spirit 2.After death: a. The body will return to earth. b. The soul and spirit will proceed to Hades. 3.Hades is divided into two sections, one (paradise/ Abraham bossom)for the believers and the other(hell) for wicked guys. 4.Whilst in hades, they await the great judgement day. 5.On judgement day, a new body is given to house the soul and spirit. 6.After judgement has been announced, the good believers ascend to heaven to be with Lord Jesus and forever happy. But the wicked guys will descend to the lake of fire and forever in torment. 7. The Lake of Fire is at this point in time empty until judgement day. Is this sequence in order? Your comments, please.
