121 | Should We Get Married Again? | Matt 19:4 | teragram123 | 55526
1 Cor. 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: [11] But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. No sin is unpardonable accept one - Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Even if he was unfaithful to his vows during separation... Christians are given the ministry of reconciliation... by grace given us we can and should forgive others...no matter the sin. 2 Cor. 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; charis, Greek 5485, Strong's - the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; Many say I can't forgive them... but that is where we need nore grace... divine influence in the heart reflecting into our lives. Philip. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. If we want grace toward our sin - we must be willing to extend grace toward another's sin as well. Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Marriage is a sacred institution in God's eyes. Sad to say, too many profession Christians today refuse to forgive unfaithfulness of a spouse, but if they themselves are unfaithful, they plead grace for themselves. Unfaithfulness is not the unpardonable sin but the liberal minded Christian has made it so unless it of course is their own unfaithfulness... than we hear about the power of God's grace to forgive them! Matthew 10:8 ... freely ye have received, freely give. |

127 | scriptual suport for Ezekiel 14:14 | Ezek 14:1 | teragram123 | 55293
read the context of the verse... 14:13-23 God’s people are expected to be righteous... all unrighteousness will be cut off... all that refuse the truth of the Gospel... God has not changed. He dealt with man differently in the OT... but the sin HE hates has not changed... all unrighteousness will be punished. To say we are saved by grace places us under great Responsibility to do what our LORD desires... at all cost. Those that say they are Christians and walk in darkness and sin are deceived and even God is their enemy... 2 Thes. 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Sin is a mock of Christianity... Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Some say well God sees my heart... Amen to that... and a righteous heart shows forth in a righteous life... Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Peter preached righteousness to be accepted by God and not merely saying by grace am I saved... Acts 10:34-35 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: [35] But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Paul told the church to “cut off” sinning saints not say they are merely saved by grace... 1 Cor. 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. Our lives are to reflect Christ to the world... Col. 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. True believer do the word... not only hear it... James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. The fool hears the pure gospel but does not live pure lives... Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: The only ones to be blessed are the doers of the word... Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. The Pharisees were hypocrites not doing righteousness... merely trusting grace alone to save them... Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. James clearly tells us that Grace without a righteous life is worthless... James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.... 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? The righteous will do the deeds of righteousness, not merely fulfill their flesh and say they have faith in grace... Matthew 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Grace manifests in a life that has truely been effected by GRACE... Grace reigns through righteousness! Sin brings death... Grace brings a righteous life with a reward of eternal life... Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. If Christ and His HOLY Spirit truly dwells within our heart... it will show in our lives... Philip. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Grace shows it's self in a born again life thru righteousness... sin is a reproach to a nation, church or a believer. Grace endues with power to do God's will and deny my own will. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. GRACE - charis Greek 5463 the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; |

128 | Guilty of blood of others? | Acts 20:26 | teragram123 | 55079
To ReformerJoe It would seem evident the church is given a commission... not a suggestion or option.. Proverbs 3:27-28 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. [28] Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. [18] When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [19] Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. [20] Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: Ezekiel 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; [4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. [5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. Ezekiel 33:6-7 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. [7] So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. The failure of the church in this regard has brought us the conditions of today. I do not believe that the church of Paul's day would have been taking time to answer questions like... "can I smoke Pot and be a Christian?" O how there needs to be time in the Lord’s presence for Him to give revelation to HIS will and not the desire of our own hearts. Philip. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. |

129 | DIVORCED,REMARRIED DEACON | Titus 1:6 | teragram123 | 55078
to scribe - I believe that faults within others is an opportunity for grace to be manifested... not my rights and desires. Yes when a spouse is unfaithful, it is a great pain to the union. But the history of the forefathers give innumerable testimonies of great grace that withstood much more pain in their lives than what the average Christian of today is willing to undergo. Philip. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Grace is for endowment of power, not merely a cover-up for my desires to be fulfilled Note the definition of Grace given by Strongs - charis - the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life This does not give me the way out of my trials but the way thru them. O how we need Daniels in our day! |

130 | DIVORCED,REMARRIED DEACON | Titus 1:6 | teragram123 | 55075
To David1959 - The Church is to be the manifestation of Christ to the lost World... a light shining out into darkness. When that light is dark... how great is that darkness. To serve a deacon is to be an example set forth to all that follow. Paul did not stipulate as to the reason for the divorce... only that a deacon be the husband of one wife. Liberal views water this down to say... one at a time. However... Christ was not referring to one at a time when He rebuked the Pharisees. Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Christ was clearly speaking about one man one women... till death parted them. Paul referred to the same principle in - Romans 7:2-3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. [3] So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 1 Cor. 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. We are to be concerned with how the church is manifested to the Lost world... not about our own desires and positions... would it not be far better for one to serve as a door keeper in the house of the Lord rather than to cause confusion or distain to come upon the Church? To excuse ourselves by saying... it happened before I was saved. O the weight upon parents to train children up in the way they ought to go. Sin leaves scars and consequences. This “disqualification” from being an elder/deacon... is only one of those consequences. Grace forgives and cleanses but does not restore to the original state... ask the redeemed prostitute. Is this not the very reason that the women is symbolic of the Church! |

131 | Elder must be 'the husband of one wife'? | 1 Tim 3:2 | teragram123 | 55072
To weezach - I fully agree with you. The history of the church shows that the narrower view toward remarriage and divorce within the church was taken by the true church. There have always been the more liberal views taken by the more liberal churches. However, some today say and teach that we have come into a more mature understanding of the scriptures and now therefore see that remarriage is not prohibited. If that be true, would it not also seem evident that we should have stronger churches that see God’s power manifested as did the earlier churches? Christ promised answered prayer if we lived according to His Word... John 15:6-7 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to see that the Church of today lacks the testimony of seeing prayers answered in a way that would get the attention of the sinners- to the salvation of souls - Which I must say is the reason Christ came in the first place - to seek and to save the lost - but the church of today is more concerned with material prosperity than to see the power of God manifested in such glory that sinners will fall prostrate before the HOLY ALMIGHTY GOD repenting of their sins. Also if the modern view is from God would not families be stronger but again does one need a masters to see that families of today are in a miserable mess! |

132 | adulterous spouse than get remarried ? | Not Specified | teragram123 | 54983
In this verse it says if a man takes a bride and finds she is not a virgin when he marries her, he may than put her away - divorce her but if her father proves she was a virgin by the tokens, than the man would be chastened. Deut. 22:13-18 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her, [14] And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid: [15] Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: [16] And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; [17] And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. [18] And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him; Is this the law that Joseph was using to put Mary away when he found that she was pregnant? And Christ referred to in - Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Is not fornication sexual act outside of the marriage covenant? Why do so many today say they can divorce because of adultery? Where does Christ? Paul? allow for divorce because of adultery. It seems if adultery was the reason for divorce than how could that same adulterous spouse than get remarried with the sanction of the church? |

I would ask in return... what view do you have of God Almighty? Why would one "push" HIM at all. Grace is for the broken and contrite heart... Not for the heart that wants to push HIM. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Many say...God loves me too much to put me in Hell.. ney but I would say... He loved me and died for me... now He waits to see how much I love Him... His love has already been shown... now it is my turn. |

the link between the preaching of the gospel and the sealing of Gods people? Ezekiel 9:4-6 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. [5] And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: [6] Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
