1201 | Which country is God's Nation | Rom 1:18 | jlpangilinan | 21397
Joe, I am very interested in this part of our Question and answer. This is my questions: "If all things happened because of God's plan all wars happen in this world God who the one oschestrated! I know war is part of Jesus prophecy in the bible, because He knows it going to happen but it is not mean that He is the one oschestrated it to happen." Your answer: God does indeed orchestrate wars. God commanded Israel to wage war against the Canaanites in Joshua. Read the book of Jeremiah to see that God does indeed bring about war for His purposes. Read in particular verses like Jeremiah 16:10 and 18:8 and 18:11 amd 19:3 and 19:15 and 23:12. Who is bringing the calamity upon Judah? God. In what form? Invasion from Babylon. Does Babylon intend to serve God by invading Judah? Absolutely not, but their sinful act serves God's purposes. Here is my question: I know that in time of Moses and mostly in the old testament God commanded Israel to go to war againts the nation sorrounded them. But the time we all know that Israel is the true Nation of God. Mt 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. At our time what nation do you think God commanded to go to war and God will help this nation to defeat thier enemies. What nation is this? If you can show me that Jesus Christ commanded any man to go to war and he will blessed those person and gave thier enemy to his hand. Lu 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. If God orchestrated the war in our present time? What nation do you think God is going to be with? For example in world war I and II and now for US and afgasnistan? Which side do you think God gave his command, Which of those country may represent the nation of true God? Do you think the U.S. or any of those country received command from God and God will on thier side? Johnny |

1203 | God repented | Rom 1:18 | jlpangilinan | 20871
Joe, Granting that all of your statement is right. Because your believed is different from mine, my believed is that God has a particular plan but not all things what happened to human beings it is because God designed it. What I mean Joe, is If I am going to eat steak in my breakfast and not beacon, because I want beacon and not because God who plan that I am going to eat steak and not beacon. This is my stand. If I am not mistaken (correct me if I am wrong) Your believed is from the beginning everything that will happened to anyone because it was God's plan. Meaning if in this year 2001 when someone become a prostitute becuase it the plan of God to them. And there is no single happened to anyone outside God's plan. You quoted verses that supported your stand and I saw it. But I think it is goes to particular plan of God, for example the Birth of Jesus the same with when he was crucified. I believed on this. What I am trying to explain here is not all things was dictated by God for example for being Bad of too many in the time of Noah that's is why God take action for that consequences. But I think it is not part of His plan that too many will disobey Him but because of the devil that trying to make people as evil as he was. You stated in your post that Flood in the time of Noah is a part of God's Plan right: My problem here Joe is before the Lord God destroy the the man through that flood he repenteth. My question is why God repenteth? Do you think it is in the Nature of God that when his plan succeed is going to repent? Because God succeeded in His plan that too many people disobey, that is why He can bring flood to them? maybe you can say I post this question in my own and it is because of my wrong interpretation? Ge 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Ge 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. It was mentioned "And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart." Why if is really a a God's plan to destroy the people why it grieved His heart? Again my question is it is really the nature of God that if His plan succeed it is Grieved His heart? If really designed this things to happen He should be very happy. Ge 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. In Ge 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; It was mentioned the end of all flesh is come before me; Why God not mention that "my plan is already succeded to bring flood to people". In Ge 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. If this God's plan why it seems that God didn’t like it that is why He punish them. It is His plan of course God will happy because His plan succeeded. I posted like that Joe, because as all I know God's is Love. Sa 15:10 Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying, 1Sa 15:11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night. If it really plan of God that Saul is turned back from following God, why God repented? He succeeded his plan here also. He should be very happy. 1Sa 15:35 And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel. If part of God’s plan that Saul is turned back from following God, He should not repented. That is my point Joe, in my own understanding I could not accepted that the Lord God will repented every time that his plan succeeded. In addition Joe, If really a part of plan of God that in the time of Noah too many people will disobey God what is the purpose of this verses. 1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. God want all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Johnny |

Steve, This what i am trying to say to Joe, that I know that God has a particular plan but not all things, What I mean is if going to eat steak in my breakfast and not beacon beacuse I want it but not God who designed everything so I cant eat steak and not beacon. I hope you get what I mean. Johnny |

1205 | first recorded baptism | Matt 3:15 | jlpangilinan | 20783
If I am mistaken it was There are four recorded kind of baptism that I know Baptism of Christ: Christ had to be formally inaugurated into the public discharge of his offices. For this purpose he came to John, who was the representative of the law and the prophets, that by him he might be introduced into his offices, and thus be publicly recognized as the Messiah of whose coming the prophecies and types had for many ages borne witness. John refused at first to confer his baptism on Christ, for he understood not what he had to do with the "baptism of repentance." But Christ said, "'Suffer it to be so now,' NOW as suited to my state of humiliation, my state as a substitute in the room of sinners." His reception of baptism was not necessary on his own account. It was a voluntary act, the same as his act of becoming incarnate. Yet if the work he had engaged to accomplish was to be completed, then it became him to take on him the likeness of a sinner, and to fulfil all righteousness (Mt 3:15). Baptism for the dead only mentioned in 1Co 15:29. This expression as used by the apostle may be equivalent to saying, "He who goes through a baptism of blood in order to join a glorified church which has no existence [i.e., if the dead rise not] is a fool." Some also regard the statement here as an allusion to the strange practice which began, it is said, to prevail at Corinth, in which a person was baptized in the stead of others who had died before being baptized, to whom it was hoped some of the benefits of that rite would be extended. This they think may have been one of the erroneous customs which Paul went to Corinth to "set in order." Baptism, Christian an ordinance immediately instituted by Christ (Mt 28:19-20), and designed to be observed in the church, like that of the Supper, "till he come." The words "baptize" and "baptism" are simply Greek words transferred into English. This was necessarily done by the translators of the Scriptures, for no literal translation could properly express all that is implied in them. Baptism, John's was not Christian baptism, nor was that which was practised by the disciples previous to our Lord's crucifixion. Till then the New Testament economy did not exist. John's baptism bound its subjects to repentance, and not to the faith of Christ. It was not administered in the name of the Trinity, and those whom John baptized were rebaptized by Paul (Ac 18:24; 19:7). |

1206 | WHY DAVID WROTE THE BOOK OF PSALMS? | Psalm | jlpangilinan | 20767
More information if you just interested Psalms The psalms are the production of various authors. "Only a portion of the Book of Psalms claims David as its author. Other inspired poets in successive generations added now one now another contribution to the sacred collection, and thus in the wisdom of Providence it more completely reflects every phase of human emotion and circumstances than it otherwise could." But it is specially to David and his contemporaries that we owe this precious book. In the "titles" of the psalms, the genuineness of which there is no sufficient reason to doubt, 73 are ascribed to David. Peter and John (Ac 4:25) ascribe to him also the second psalm, which is one of the 48 that are anonymous. About two-thirds of the whole collection have been ascribed to David. Psalms 39, 62, and 77 are addressed to Jeduthun, to be sung after his manner or in his choir. Psalms 50 and 73-83 are addressed to Asaph, as the master of his choir, to be sung in the worship of God. The "sons of Korah," who formed a leading part of the Kohathite singers (2Ch 20:19), were intrusted with the arranging and singing of PS 42, 44-49, 84, 85, 87, and 88. In Lu 24:44 the word "psalms" means the Hagiographa, i.e., the holy writings, one of the sections into which the Jews divided the Old Testament. (See Bible.) None of the psalms can be proved to have been of a later date than the time of Ezra and Nehemiah, hence the whole collection extends over a period of about 1,000 years. There are in the New Testament 116 direct quotations from the Psalter. The Psalter is divided, after the analogy of the Pentateuch, into five books, each closing with a doxology or benediction: (1.) The first book comprises the first 41 psalms, all of which are ascribed to David except 1, 2, 10, and 33, which, though anonymous, may also be ascribed to him. (2.) Book second consists of the next 31 psalms (42-72), 18 of which are ascribed to David and 1 to Solomon (the 72nd). The rest are anonymous. (3.) The third book contains 17 psalms (73-89), of which the 86th is ascribed to David, the 88th to Heman the Ezrahite, and the 89th to Ethan the Ezrahite. (4.) The fourth book also contains 17 psalms (90-106), of which the 90th is ascribed to Moses, and the 101st and 103rd to David. (5.) The fifth book contains the remaining psalms, 44 in number. Of these, 15 are ascribed to David, and the 127th to Solomon. PS 136 is generally called "the great hallel." But the Talmud includes also PS 120-135. PS 113-118, inclusive, constitute the "hallel" recited at the three great feasts, at the new moon, and on the eight days of the feast of dedication. "It is presumed that these several collections were made at times of high religious life: the first, probably, near the close of David's life; the second in the days of Solomon; the third by the singers of Jehoshaphat (2Ch 20:19); the fourth by the men of Hezekiah (29, 30, 31); and the fifth in the days of Ezra." The Mosaic ritual makes no provision for the service of song in the worship of God. David first taught the Church to sing the praises of the Lord. He first introduced into the ritual of the tabernacle music and song. Divers names are given to the psalms. (1.) Some bear the Hebrew designation shir (Gr. ode, a song). Thirteen have this title. It means the flow of speech, as it were, in a straight line or in a regular strain. This title includes secular as well as sacred song. (2.) Fifty-eight psalms bear the designation (Heb) mitsmor (Gr. psalmos, a psalm), a lyric ode, or a song set to music; a sacred song accompanied with a musical instrument. (3.) PS 145, and many others, have the designation (Heb) tehillah (Gr. hymnos, a hymn), meaning a song of praise; a song the prominent thought of which is the praise of God. (4.) Six psalms (16, 56-60) have the title (Heb) michtam (q.v.). (5.) PS 7 and HAB 3 bear the title |

1207 | God's plan | Rom 1:18 | jlpangilinan | 20736
Our doctrine, is different from yours, so how you could say that my opinion are wrong, like what you did when you answered my question in my first post. I am not telling to anyone that thier belief is wrong what I really do is to share what I know. But if you can easily say that my opinion is wrong, how could you justify that yours are right? How many religion we have in the world? If all the people has the same interpretation of the bible why we have too many religion right now? Do you think you can say your opinion that you are right in the front of a muslims that we have here in our country? Do you think you can say directly to them that belief are wrong? Explaining any stand is not just saying that the other side is wrong but to share what you have and not judge the others opinion. So next time dont judge to fast by saying that my opinion is wrong, because I dont mentioned that yours are wrong, and I am just explaining my stand. I dont know of what religion you are belong, the same as you dont know mine. So you cannot easily say that you are the right and mine are wrong. It is only God who can justify that. Johnny |

1208 | Workout your own salvation | Rom 1:18 | jlpangilinan | 20651
Joe, So if your God is that kind of God, what is the purpose of the people trying to be GOOD? if God dictated anything? What we can do is just wait to die. Because anything you are going to do is useless, we no choices because when the person born it is oschestrated by God what will happen to this person. It is God who choses where our soul will go, either it is in hell or in heaven. I would like to ask you Joe, are going to church on Sunday or what day which you specify? If you tell me that you are did go to church, for what? Why you dont wait whats God's plan for you? Because according to your statement Gods know what will happen to you. So if you do bad or good it is useless, becuase it is God designed your life, and it is God who decide of where your soul will go. Ge 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. Here in this passages, God tested the faith of Abraham, Why God tested the faith of Abraham if he knew it already? Just for fun? it is mentioned here:(for now I know that thou fearest God, I know that God has the power to know everything that He want to know, but I dont think He will try to know first the result of his test to Abraham before He do it, otherwise he is unfair God. Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. it is mentioned in php 2:12 work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Now why we have to workout for our own salvation if our life is designed already? What is the purpose of working out if the output will also the same? Meaning whether you do Good and Bad it is useless because it was designed already what the future of your soul is. Johnny |

1210 | God's plan | Rom 1:18 | jlpangilinan | 20643
Joe, Follow up: You mentioned that part of the prophecy of Jeremiah that Judas will betray Jesus Christ "Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: "AND THEY TOOK THE THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER, THE PRICE OF THE ONE WHOSE PRICE HAD BEEN SET by the sons of Israel" --Matthew 27:9 It is part of the prophecy because Jeremiah knows that this things will going to happened in the future but not the God orchestrated it but the devil. Take a look of this verse: Lu 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. It was mentioned that Satan entered into Judas Iscariot,if it is God's plan, do you mean God coordinated Satan to entered Judas so he can betray Jesus Christ? Please explain this. If God is so Good, why he plan such a devil act like what Judas did? for what so Judas will go to hell? it is part of the God's plan that soul of Judas iscariot will go to hell? Do you think it just to Judas that he was chosen to be a betrayer of Jesus? Meaning Judas has no choice to become good because it a part of God's plan that Judas will become Bad. Do you think the soul of Judas is not important to God? If all things happened because it was God’s plan, you have to accept that God is happy with the wars and terrorist attack because his plan happened. Johnny |

1211 | God's Plan? | Rom 1:18 | jlpangilinan | 20635
I know you read Genesis. What is the plan of God for Adam and Eve? We know that to live forever and ever in the paradise, they will not going to die, they have no sickness, but what happened when they ate that forbidden fruit? they die! Do you think it is part of God that they will eat that forbidden fruit? Why God warn them? Do you think the warning of God for them is just a trick because no matter what they have no choice but to eat that fruit because it is part of God's plan. Meaning they have no choice but to eat that fruit because it is part of God's plan. Why God's gave the warning? Ge 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 18. Easton Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. If you read those verses God punish Adam and Eve for their disobediece. If eating those fruit it is really part of God's plan, Why God's has to punish them? Do you think God created human so He can put them into the punishment? Could you please answer this! Second I post the question that do you think Lucifer become God's opposer is also part of God's plan? Do you mean God created Lucifer so he will become the Devil? Please answer this! If your answer is Yes! and then you have to accept that it is part of God's plan that to many souls will go to hell part of his plan. Answer this. If you think that all things happen according to God's plan all Bad happened it is Him who was oschestrated. Do you think it part of God's plan that kill people in flood in the time of Noah? Do you think it part of God's plan that He will burn Sodom and Gomorah? Where is the choice of the people to become Good or eveil if all things is oschestrated by God. Meaning We have no choice. Do you think when Saul appopinted by God to become a king of Israel it God also oschestrated saul to become Bad so God can replace him and put David as a new king? What kind of God is that? If all things happened because of God's plan all wars happen in this world God who the one oschestrated! I know war is part of Jesus prophecy in the bible, because He knows it going to happen but it is not mean that He is the one oschestrated it to happen. You also very fast to judge that it is part of my wrong opinions Lu 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Well granting for a while that my opinion is wrong. We all know to many person commit suicide! do you think that is a God's plan fro them to commit suicide? If all things happen because it was God's plan meaning what happen is it God's will so all this wars and shortage of food was a God's will. Why Jesus Christ taught us to pray Our Father? 6:9 ¶ After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Mt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. "It is include thy will be done" Why keep parying it if The will og God is Happened already? Johnny |

1212 | Going to stars | Ps 8:3 | jlpangilinan | 20466
Out of curiosity, Do you think, it is better to go stars, to study God's creation? could u please give any passages to study God's creation we should go in to it so we can study it better? You include stars as God creation, and you said it is better to study stars if we go there? How about the Sun? it is also a God creation, if u mentioned that it is better to study the stars if we go there, then it is better to go to Sun also to study it better, and we know going to the sun is crazy things. Sun included in God creations. I think it is wrong that you can study better the God's creation by going to it, otherwise we have to go Sun also to study it better. What do you think? I hope u can explain this. For me it is not important to study the stars and other God's creation by going to them. Just believed that they are God's creation. Thanks, Johnny |

1213 | Joe, how do you know truth? | Rom 10:17 | jlpangilinan | 20454
You are right by saying no one will tell you that come to them because they false, everyone will say that they are the truth. But why beleive on what did they say? Look at them if they really an example that what Jesus Christ said. You know cannot Justify the truth just being have the back up of what did they say. But you can noticed them in thier fruit. Did they live the example of what Jesus Christ gave? then with those example you can see if they are really the truth. Please take a look at this verse Mt 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. See? if you are in the right relegion, your fruit must be good, because good tree must have a good fruit. Thanks, Johnny |

1214 | Joe, how do you know the truth? | Rom 10:17 | jlpangilinan | 20450

1215 | Is truth relative? How do we know it? | John 8:32 | jlpangilinan | 20445
1Jo 4:1 Having too many relegion right now is too confusing, but it is part of Lord's prophecy. But he gave us warning about all this things. Your question is how do we know what the truth is? This what He says for us: 1Jo 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. He sais not to believed every spirit but to try the spirits. How long did you being a member of any particular church? How often did u read the holy scriptures? If we read the Holy scriptures then we would know what really the right teaching for us because it must be written in the bible. If you found that your relegion are not having the right teaching or doctrine then it is up to you to try another. You can Justify those question if you read the scriptures because you can see that thier teaching is written in the bible and you would know if they telling the truth or not, because teaching should come from the Holy scriptures. I can give you some example: I dont beleive that we have to confess to priest because it is not written in the bible. What really written is: as 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So if we read the scritures we can justify who is really telling the truth. So you have to read the scriptures and not just comfortable listening to what the pastors or priest is going to preach. We have other warning about how to find the truth: Ga 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. So if you heard anyone who taught not in the scriptures, then let him be accursed. How would we know that the teaching are different from the teaching of the apostles, of course we have to read the scriptures. I hope it would help. Thanks, Johnny |

1216 | What is the "third heaven"? | Gen 1:1 | jlpangilinan | 20294
Jensen, Let me help you Heaven: (1.) Definitions. The phrase "heaven and earth" is used to indicate the whole universe (Ge 1:1; Jer 23:24; Ac 17:24). According to the Jewish notion there were three heavens, (a) The firmament, as "fowls of the heaven" (Ge 2:19; 7:3,23; Ps 8:8, etc.), "the eagles of heaven" (La 4:19), etc. (b) The starry heavens (De 17:3; Jer 8:2; Mt 24:29). (c) "The heaven of heavens," or "the third heaven" (De 10:14; 1Ki 8:27; Ps 115:16; 148:4; 2Co 12:2). The third heaven: Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Ki 8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? s 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. 2Co 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. at this verse 2Co 12:2 they mentioned the third heaven. Just keep reading the scripture, for formation, and for information. Thanks, Johnny |

1217 | Speaking in tongues? | Acts 2:1 | jlpangilinan | 20286
You know I can say that is true. I saw many events that some of members of the church speaking in tongues. Even in the bible it was happened in the day of pentecost I put that passages here: Ac 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Ac 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 2. Ac 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Ac 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 4. Ac 2:5 ¶ And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Ac 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. Your are right that not all people has this kind of gift, but me if it will going to happened to me baptise in the Holy Spirit I am very willing to accet it, and pray for that. Speaking in tongue is not an ability it is come from the Holy Spirit. But I dont think that you have to speaking in tongue to enter the Kingdom of Heaven there are many prophets in the Bible that doesent have this gift but live in the right path. Thanks Johnny |

1218 | What is the account we will give? | Rom 14:12 | jlpangilinan | 20283
Ro 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 10. Ro 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Ro 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. If you read it from 14:10 the explanation of Apostle Paul we cannot judge our brothers,in 14: 11, every knee shall bow to Jesus Christ, everyone of us is Jesus Christ apostle, what Apostle paul can do is taught us how to be closer to God, but if we are not going to listen or to observe it is us is accountable for God. Meaning we accountable for the punishment we cannot point other person that because of them we fall and it is not fault of others but yours. I hope it will help Johnny |

1219 | Does God uses people to phophecy | Isaiah | jlpangilinan | 20276
Isaiah is one of the prophet of God one of his propecy is the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. In this particular verse, it is gave us assurance that God uses people to prophecy, and we can justify that Isaiah is true prophet of God because all of his propecy happened. Tahnks Johnny |

1220 | Is the Rapture mentioned in the OT? | Matt 24:3 | jlpangilinan | 20274
Maybe what happened to Elijah was a very example of Rapture: Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Johnny |
