1081 | Please clarify. | Rev 21:8 | lionheart | 143068 | ||
The greek word for coward(fearful) in this context is Deilos- Afraid,cowardly,timid-afraid. You will also find this usage in Mtt 8:26 and Mk 4:40 after this you will not find this usage again in the New Testament. Read those two verse and you will see Jesus response. Look up the Greek words Phobos,Phobeo,phobeomai,Phoberos,Phobetron.Look these up and take a good look at them. You will see the differences in usage and context. You are quite clear but you are taking things out of context.What I just shared here are basic tennants of biblical research and study,when we fail to apply them we are going to get it wrong every time. That includes me too. Check it out. We all deal with fear but we dont have to let it deal with us! We can repent! There are things I'm afraid of but I keep trusting God and do what I gotta do. In Christ, lionheart |
