101 | Christ in hell | 1 Peter | Jeshuafreak | 53090
1 Peter 3:18-20; 4:6 ***** The Apostles' Creed The basic creed of Reformed churches, as most familiarly known, is called the Apostles' Creed. It has received this title because of its great antiquity; it dates from very early times in the Church, a half century or so from the last writings of the New Testament. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. [see Calvin] The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. ****The word "catholic" refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ. 102 | Hi Joe!! | Proverbs | Jeshuafreak | 53052
Hi Joe!!- By the way I did some more research on that site **http://withchrist.org/center.htm*** WithChrist .ORG-- They check out as far as I am concerned. They agree with my philosophy as far as being a good Berean. This is what they wrote in their About Us section.*** Thank you for your interest. Similar to the Apostle Paul, we are employed full-time as well as joyfully serve in this ministry designed to provide spiritual growth to members of His Body. The heart of our modest ministry is personal email correspondence with believers who are hungry to grow in their spiritual life and service. We seek to guide believers into study that is suited to their unique situations, seeing that they become "established in grace" and on their own with the Lord as soon as possible (2 Peter 3:18). Our goal is to stay quietly in touch with the Lord, being prepared by Him to share with those who reach out in need. Thus each learns to depend upon Him, and never us. Consequently, our expectation is for correspondents to eagerly study the Word of God (66 books of the Bible) as well as recommended Christian literature--understanding that the goal is to anchor in truth and more fully know the Lord Jesus Christ. While our ministry does include observations both sociological and psychological, our primary focus is theological and doctrinal truth. We view Scripture within a moderate Calvinistic, Pauline dispensational framework. Our material is not presented from the viewpoint of scholars, but rather that of folks who enjoy passionate thinking. We believe that the content of a person's beliefs, over time, affect all realms of life--or, "ideas have consequences." "For as he thinks in his heart [mind], so is he" Proverbs 23:7. ****** JOE!! please let me know if you find anything heretical about them that I overlooked...I was a little surprised with some of there comments on Religious Humanism. Which I didn't know about before. I found at another site an article on this very thing.... The more I dig into this stuff the more I see how little informed I have been. Am I in a safe church...hmm. That is my big question lately. I am not going to leave my fellowship I believe there are a large number of true Christians there. I want to help the flock by bringing truth to them and testing what I hear. I don't want to abandon them like a sinking ship. I know enough truth to recognize the counterfeit. Though I am still learning and always will be. -Jeshuafreak |

(Part 5) The Bible is Inerrant, Infallible and Eternal by Woodrow Kroll ******* Take a read of this article and order the Bible Basics series....the last 2 books deal with your topic, and they can be ordered separately. *****Also see: J. Rodman Williams, Ph.D.----- The Character of the Inspired Text http://home.regent.edu/rodmwil/script6.html****And another from Geoff Thomas **** http://users.aber.ac.uk/emk/ap/sermons/word1.htm*** THE SURE WORD OF GOD Sermon 1: Trusting the infallible Word "Thy word is truth" (John 17:17) ******* And yet another ***http://users.aol.com/bible2007/****** The Bible--God's Word Wholly Inspired and Infallible ******** God's Infallible Word a paper by Pastor Gerald Boyd The Word of God was written by ordinary men, but they were men of God who were under the influence of God’s Holy Spirit. 2 Peter l:20,21 says, "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old times by the will of man: but Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." 2 Timothy 3:16,17 says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." THE BIBLE IS SUPERIOR TO OTHER BOOKS in its origin, formation, doctrines, principles, claims, moral tone, histories, prophecies, revelations, literature, present redemption and eternal benefits, and its general contents. IT’S INFLUENCE IN THE WORLD: It has blessed millions in every generation, made the highest civilizations, and given man the highest hope and destiny. THE CHARACTER OF THOSE WHO ACCEPT IT: The wisest, most godly, and honest of men acknowledge it as God’s Word. ONLY INFIDELS, and the ungodly reject it. MAN COULD NOT HAVE WRITTEN the Bible if he would, and would not have written it if he could. No critic of scripture has ever been able to improve or disprove it. GOOD MEN MUST HAVE WRITTEN IT. It condemns all sin and records the sins and faults of its writers as well as others. ALL MAN’S PRESENT AND ETERNAL NEEDS ARE MET BY THE BIBLE. Redemption and promised benefits have been given to all generations and this will always be so. SECULAR HISTORY: Many pagans as well as Jewish and Christian writers confirm the facts of the Bible, quoting it as being genuine, authentic and inspired of God. FAITH IN GOD’S WORD will transform your life: His Word will give you the keys to success and happiness. God’s Word is life changing and will penetrate the hardest of hearts, making a man a totally new person (2 Corinthians 5:l7). OUR NATION IS GREAT because of the profound faith of our forefathers in Almighty God. HERE ARE A FEW OF THEIR COMMENTS: GEORGE WASHINGTON: "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible." ABRAHAM LINCOLN: "I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this book." DOUGLAS MCARTHUR: "Believe me sir, never a night goes by, be I ever so tired, but I read the Word of God before I go to bed." WARNING: The book is habit forming, regular use causes loss off anxiety, decreased appetite for lying, cheating, stealing, hating. SYMPTOMS: Increased sensations of love, joy, peace and compassion. I CHALLENGE YOU to read: John 3:16, Romans 3:23, 6:23; 10:9,10; 1 John 1:9; 2 Corinthians 5:17 then ask Jesus Christ to come into your life to be YOUR Lord and Savior. Your life will be completely changed. * Some quotes above were from Dakes Annotated Bible. ----This was found at http://www.amazinggrace.com/*** Should I keep going? **** Go to GOOGLE and search "infallible word of God" and other similar searches and you will find tons of material related to your question. |

John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible**** http://www.gospelcom.net/eword/comments/luke/gill/luke14.htm ***** Verse 26. If any man come to me,.... Not in a corporeal, but in a spiritual way; nor barely to hear him preach; but so come, as that he believes in him, applies to him for grace, pardon, righteousness, life, and salvation; professes to be his, submits to his ordinances, and desires to be a disciple of his; and hate not his father and mother, and wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple: not that proper hatred of any, or all of these, is enjoined by Christ; for this would be contrary to the laws of God, to the first principles of nature, to all humanity, to the light of nature, to reason and divine revelation: but that these are not to be preferred to Christ, or loved more than he, as it is explained in Matthew 10:37 yea, these are to be neglected and forsaken, and turned from with indignation and resentment, when they stand in the way of the honour and interest of Christ, and dissuade from his service: such who would be accounted the disciples of Christ, should be ready to part with their dearest relations and friends, with the greatest enjoyment of life, and with life itself, when Christ calls for it; or otherwise they are not worthy to be called his disciples. The Ethiopic version inserts, "his house," into the account. |

108 | What is the kingdom of God? | Luke 12:32 | Jeshuafreak | 53040
John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible**** http://www.gospelcom.net/eword/comments/luke/gill/luke12.htm****** Verse 32. Fear not little flock,.... these words are particularly directed to the immediate apostles and disciples of Christ; but are true of all the saints in all ages of time, who are compared to a "flock of sheep," being separated from the rest of the world in election, redemption, and the effectual calling, and being folded together in a Gospel church state; and also for their patience, meekness, humility, and harmlessness: these are a "little" flock; few in number, when compared with the wicked of the world; and mean and despicable in the account of men; and little in their own eyes: these are subject to many "fears"; some relate to their outward state, and condition, as that they shall want food and raiment, and not have the necessaries of life; which seems to be in the first place here intended, as appears from the context: and some regard their spiritual and eternal estate, as lest they should have no interest in the love of God, and in the covenant, in the blessings and promises of his grace; lest they should not belong to Christ; or the good work of grace should not be begun in them; or that they should not persevere to the end, and should at last miscarry of eternal life and happiness: and these fears arise from a body of sin, from the temptations of Satan, the hidings of God's face, and the prevalence of unbelief; for they have no true reason for them: God is on their side, and will not leave, nor forsake them, nor shall they want any good thing Christ is their shepherd, and he has bought them, with his own blood, and will lose none of them; and therefore they need not fear being taken care of both in soul and body, for time and eternity: and especially when what follows is considered, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom; not only the Gospel, and the knowledge of the mysteries of it; nor the Gospel church state, and a right to all its ordinances; nor only the kingdom of grace, which cannot be moved; but the kingdom of glory: and which is a gift unto them, not obtained by any deserts or works of theirs; nor is their right unto, and enjoyment of it depending upon any such thing: and it their Father's gift, who is so by adopting grace, and through Christ Jesus their Lord; and which he gives according to his sovereign will and pleasure, and with a good will, delighting in them, and rejoicing over them to do them good, both here and hereafter: so that they may depend upon every good thing needful for them both in this world, and in the world to come; nor should they indulge anxious cares, or slavish fears |

You are right. I get cocky sometimes when all is well and I am not being tempted. I set myself up alot of times for a fall when I say, "Oh, I can hadle it." Proverbs says, 'What man can scoop hot coals into his lap and not get burnt?' I don't know the adress but I have heard this a few times...... Let me try to find it... I guess I paraphased it. It applies though. That is the nice thing about God's word. The Holy Spirit makes application. ****Proverbs 6 27Can a man take fire to his bosom, And his clothes not be burned? 28Can one walk on hot coals, And his feet not be seared? 29So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife; Whoever touches her shall not be innocent. |

Ken Ham was on truths that transform. http://www.crministries.org/TTTarchive.htm--- "One Blood; The Biblical Answer to Racism" Part 2 WED - 05/22 Speech by Ken Ham ********Did you know that racism has been fostered by the theory of evolution? Find out how–listen in! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "One Blood; The Biblical Answer to Racism" Part 1 TUE - 05/21 Speech by Ken Ham ****** Ken Ham gives you the facts about the evolutionary concept of racism in today’s revealing broadcast. ****ONE BLOOD: The Biblical Answer to Racism by Ken Ham, Carl Wieland, and Don Batten More than half a century has passed since the horrors of the Nazi racial extermination camps were revealed to a disbelieving world. Yet the battle of ethnic hate and violence remains one of the burning issues of our time. Billions of dollars are spent fighting it. Oprah devotes entire programs to it. Presidents consult civic and religious leaders; everyone seems to be wrestling with the problems of racial prejudice, yet solutions evade us. But what does "race" really mean? Are there really multiple races of humans, and where did this concept originate? The Bible says in Acts 17:26 that God has "made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth." So, is there really such a thing as "the white race', or "the black race"? You will be astounded at the easy-to-understand scientific facts, and how they line up with the often-overlooked simplicity of God's Word. In this ground-breaking book, you will read, perhaps for the first time, about racism's evolutionary connections, and the powerful answer from Genesis. For a real solution to ethnic hatred, read this copy of One Blood. You'll see this explosive debate in a whole new, startling light.***** http://www.christiananswers.net/catalog/bk-oneblood.html |

119 | Marriage Supper of Lamb participants? | Rev 19:9 | Jeshuafreak | 52899
The marriage supper, as far as i understand it, is the event during the last 7 years of natural history. Christ's Church, the Bride of Christ, Jesus being the Bride Groom, will have removed Hid Bride from the last 7 years. By harpazo, rapture, meaning they will be snatched up to meet with Him. Whether this bodily or spiritually is debated amongst evangelicals. The Bible does talk about two working in a field and one will be taken or two grinding at a mill and one will be taken, commonly refered to as the harpazo, or rapture. During the7 years of God's Spirit not being on the earth nor God's people, there will be extreme chaos and people will jump to all sorts of fanciful conclusions as to where all the Christian's went. ***www.mooreonlife.com*** click listen online....pick LifeAudio.com......then go to 9th page of archive and pick Game Plan For the Tribulation...once you are there scroll down and Click on the link for Living In the Light of Christ's Return*** Sorry so complicated ** It wouldn't let me give a direct link because of some of the characters in the URL**** Dave Moore from Moore on Life did an entire series on this Subject.***Living in the Light of Christ's Return (March 13-27)**listen to the series and a light will be shed on quite a few of your questions concerning the last days, which we are in of course, and on heaven, the 1000 year reign of Christ and much more....The Supper of the Lamb is the wedding reception which lasts for 7 years...can you imagine? 120 | was paul married? | NT general Archive 1 | Jeshuafreak | 52893
And your point? There are hundreds of books written to counter the great principals of scripture and help establish that their personal hang ups (sins) are just fine. people will go to extreme lengths to justify their actions. If it contradicts God's principals in scripture it is wrong. The so-called gay churches also argue that Jonathan and David were homosexual lovers because of the deep affection and love they had for one another. We have since perverted any affection between two men to mean they are homosexual. Timothy was Paul's son in the faith.********You said, "You won't like this answer, but there is an article and book that makes a circumstantial case that Paul was gay. Never married, not fond of women, urged others to adopt his lifestyle, and according to The Living Bible, personally circumsised Timothy, when Timothy was a young man. But who knows?"***** I say God knows. Besides who is going to circumsize themselves? Another thing how could this in anyway be viewed as a sexual excitement. After Joshua's men were circumcezed they were all healing up for three days. Circumcission was an act of consecration. |
