102 | If time was an issue for the people of t | Acts 2:41 | Grace and Truth | 52510
If time was an issue for the people of today, it wasn't on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. For them to baptize three thousand people in one day shows us the importants of doing things exactly like the Lord commanded in the great commission, Matt 28:18-19; Mark 16:15-16, some people today make light of being baptized into Christ, but you would never have found that attitude in the first century believers, they heard Peter loud and clear when he answered their question, men and bretheren what shall we (do)? Peter said, Repent, and be baptized every one to you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. In vs. 41 They responded to the preaching of Peter's answer, all three thousand of them. Question, did anyone say hey wait a mintue here I thought we are saved by faith only? Why do I have to wait in line to be baptized? Can't I just put this off for some other time? Or did someone have to have somebody interpret what Peter is saying to us? The bible says they gladly received what Peter said, and were baptized for the remission of their sins! And notice this also, the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. What did the Lord do to baptized believers? Added them to the church! Who's adding you? |

103 | "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" | Acts 16:30 | Grace and Truth | 52509
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" This the most important questions ever asked! Yet we hear an incomplete answer by many who attempted to answer this most valuable question. Many would have those who ask such a question believe that there is nothing to (do)! but believe, and that's not the complete answer given to the Jailer who ask the question. Please read all of the answer when ever someone ask (what must I do to be saved?) It's a matter of eternal life. Listen to the complete answer; Acts 16:30-34 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the WORD OF THE LORD, and to ALL that were IN THE HOUSE. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, HE AND ALL HIS, STRAIGHTWAY. 34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. Now we can see All of what it takes to be saved, only if the persons who teach would give the whole story about salvation. When Paul and Silas told the jailer to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the next logical question is, WHO IS THIS JESUS CHRIST YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, and then they spoke unto the jailer and his household the WORDS OF THE LORD, and after that, he took care of their wounds and they BAPTIZED HIM AND HIS HOUSEHOLD THE SAME HOUR OF THE NIGHT! And that's what the bible says in Acts 16:30-34 about the answer to the most important question ever to be ask. |

107 | The last twelve verses of Mark 16, (9-20 | Mark 16:9 | Grace and Truth | 52353
The last twelve verses of Mark 16, (9-20) were in the translations of the New Testament two hundred years before the Greek manuscripts Aleph and B (Vaticanus) were made. This shows that these verses were in the Greek manuscript/s used in those translations. The Old Syric translation was in use within the lifetime of many early Christians who knew and heard John the apostle personally. Verses 9-20 are in this version. It also appeared in the Old Italian version, a very honored and respected translation. It reaches back to the early days of the church; and it too contains the last twelve verses of Mark. Also, there are the Ethiopian, Egyptian, Sahidic and Coptic translations that appeared not long after the end of the first century; each having these verses. The evidence is overwhelming in favor of the verses. |

113 | Heb.13:15 This verse addresses our prais | Eph 5:19 | Grace and Truth | 52191
You say I only used what Paul wrote, but the verse use on the subject is Eph 5:19, I only pick it up from there. Let's go to Matt 26:30 who was playing in this verse? The only point I'll make from this point, is there is no new testament authority for instrumental music in worship!
114 | Mechanical Instruments? | Eph 5:19 | Grace and Truth | 52115
Hank, Tim, and all on this forum, For some reason unkown to me, some think that I come accross as a know-it-all nasty and rude person, from justme, Steve and others I been told that I have disrespected Hank, and that was never my intention, Hank I am very, very sorry if I have offended you in any way, I get excited about the word of God and lose myself. Please forgive me! And to all on this forum forgive me in the name of Jesus. It is hard for me when I read something on this forum, about salvation, the church, the Holy Spirit not to speak the things that I know the bible gives clear answer to. Look at all the subjects on this forum, they are all good, but the most important ones are: Salvation, the Lord's church and it's worship, and the Holy Spirit. The bible is not a hard book to understand, It become hard to understand when we try to interpret it ourselves, we should let scripture interpret scripture, then we will have less problems understanding it. My best times on this forum have been talking with Tim Morgan, He never insulted me or the church I'm a member of, and I hope that I haven't offended him, and if so I'm sorry Tim. |
