101 | will some of be required to be lighthous | 1 Corinthians | G. Preston | 194952
I do not. But, G-d gave us 42 oz of thought process(sometimes I think 36 or 38 here.LOL)and I believe He expects us to use it. Many today have one leg planted on the belief and sinful side. The divine occurence of the rapture will surely convince some to finally repent,receive/accept Christ and witness for Him during the short time they will have under the dictatorsip reign of the AC. Understanding human actions today is the basis for the belief expressed. Example, it is often cited that a new Christian had experiened a major tribulation in life and his attention was re-directed to Christ. Just an observation as part of the answer to the question submitted. |

CDBJ, We must not forget; 1)We are under the NT and new covenant. Not the OT and old covenant. Comparisons to the Ark and S and G are a stretch since they are under the old covenant. The new covenant gives us forgiveness thru Grace by the shed blood of Jesus Christ for any who repent. Those here will still be humans in the flesh which must go thru the trib. period. I can find no scripture which says that stops when the rapture occurs and the trib. period begins. 2) Revelation refers to saints from the trib. period. Who are they? 3)G-d must reach down, seal and save 12000 from each of the twelve tribes..144000...during the trib. period as seed for the millenium reign of Christ on earth. Are those sinners.... that He will save? Etc. The Holy Spirit...our comforter...will be taken away in the middle of the trib. period..not at the beginning. For Christ, Preston |

104 | Is it o.k. to drink a glass of wine? | Eph 5:1 | G. Preston | 231290
Sorry for delay. From an analysis of the Bible on drinking.. I offer a partial quote for your review; ....."Drunkenness is condemned in the Bible Isaiah 5,11, Proverbs 23,20, Romans 13,13, Galatians 5,19,21, Ephesians 5,18 Drunkards will not inherit the Kingdom of God 1 Corinthians 6,9,10 The fact is that the Bible clearly condemns drunkenness. Drunkenness is a serious matter. 2. The Bible condemns strong drink Proverbs 20,1, Isaiah 5,11, Proverbs 23,29,30,31 What was strong drink in Bible times? Distillation was not discovered until about 1500 A.D. Strong drink and unmixed wine in Bible times was from 3 to 11 percent alcohol. Therefore, since anybody in biblical times who drank unmixed wine (9-11 percent alcohol) was definitely considered a barbarian, then it is obvious that a Christian should not drink hard liquor at all. Christians should not drink strong drink. Since wine has 9 to 11 percent alcohol and one brand 20 percent alcohol, you should not drink that. Brandy contains 15 to 20 percent alcohol and hard liquor has 40 to 50 percent alcohol (80 to 100 proof), and that is obviously excluded...." There are many references to drink/wine in both the Old and New Testaments. A procedure I began several years ago was to select a topic and peruse the Bible and note any reference to the chosen topic. While I was gathering all the Bible had to say about that topic...I found a overall improvement of my Bible understanfding. Let me know If need for further response to your question...I will try to be more prompt. \ |

105 | Will ALL of Israel be saved? | Revelation | G. Preston | 231370
I believe Romans refers to the Country of Israel not all individual Israelis. Some say that G-d rejected Israelis in allowing the Holocost to occur. Not so. G-d rejects no one (other than commiting the un-pardonable sin)but, calls all to repent, be baptised and live a righteous life. Many things in history has occured which would lead some to conclude G-d has rejected Israelis. They will continue to indure much hardship. The country of Israel will prevail...ultimately . Accepting all Israelis will be saved is to void the scripture ...."no man comes to My Father but by me"....Jews reject the Christ as Messiah. Can G-d grant special forgiveness to them?...yes. ...He is omnificent. But, I don't find support for such forgiveness in the Bible. |
