1 | Mark 1:12 ekbaino not ekballo, | Mark 1:12 | stepmor | 241604
The NASB uses the word "impelled" in Mark 1:12. The NASB concordance claims that the word "ekbaino" is used here, not the word "exballo". Strong does not have the word ekbaino at all. I have not found a Greek text that uses this word either. How did the translators choose this word?
2 | Mark 1:12 ekbaino not ekballo, | Mark 1:12 | stepmor | 241610
yes, "ekballei" is the present indicative 3rd person form of the verb ekballo. (to thrust out, cast out) that is the word that strong references in this text.
3 | Mark 1:12 ekbaino not ekballo, | Mark 1:12 | stepmor | 241619
It's actually that the KJV translates from a text that uses "exballo." to eject or thrust out. ek is prepostional prefix meaning out, and ballo (we get the word ball) is to throw or cast.

Thank you Doc. i assume that all of the references that you described are for the word ekballo, not ekbaino. I don't see that word ever used.
