If I am not mistaken I believe you are asking what are the main pupose of these books? Well in my reading and learning of these books As in Job it is to me a test of faith in trials, Psalms to me is a book of Praise, Proverbs to me is the book of wisdom and instruction, Ecclesiates to me is also a book of vanity, Songs is a book on love, and Lamentation is to me a book on life without God. Death of a nation. I have critics in the room so let me say this based on the question is merely my own opinion. God may give it to God in a different way. God bless you

If you read my post you will see that I have included scripture. Thanks for the input. I am a bit ovewhelmed when it comes to the word and I do need to take time and realize that there are other who don't know the word with out scripture. But when you read my responses most of them are in response to the scripture that was quoted already. God bless my prayers
4 | Is it wrong to consult fortune tellers? | Deut 18:10 | souljourners | 178643
Actually I humbled myself and agreed with you so there will be no more response to this matter from me. But I would appreciate if you read my other responses and you will get a better understanding. In all your getting get an understanding. In James 1:5 it says those that lack wisdom let them ask of God he will give it freely. I haven't had anyone else misunderstand me and if there is something that I wrote that wasn't understandable I am available to give a more inept discussion until there is an understanding. I may not always put the scripture in my post because I am responding to a question but I do quote from the scriptures and it's not hard to understand. God bless and please no more corrections. I'm not the only one not quoting scritpures when answering a question about a scripture. Have you ever heard of (paraphrasing). Some questions call for your opinion and common sense of which I sure everyone here has. But if scripture is needed i will supply it as I have in my other post. You and I two different people and you may answer a question diferently than I. Does that sound fair. As long as I'm not quoting the scriptures wrongly.

Repent means to turn away and change. Your works are the fruit you bear in uplifting the Kingdom, winning souls being obedient to the word of God. Faith without works is dead. Works means "to do"

7 | Gift of tongues | Acts 2:4 | souljourners | 178645
There are many different tongues some rehearsed and some practiced. And I say this from experience not from theory and to offend no one. But there is only one tongue of the Holy Ghost and it bears witness with our spirit as it says in Romans 8:16. By saying this, if the tongue is not of the Spirit of God, your spirit won't be in agreeance with it.

10 | Jesus' Deity? | Rom 10:9 | souljourners | 178617
Please read John 6:32-48 and Romans 5:8-12 another scripture that bears witness on the Godhead is John 1:1-14 John 14:6-13, 26-31. These scriptures should give you insight of the Deity. Jesus clearly states all through the New Testament Gospels about the Father and the Holy Ghost and He are all one. You can not believe in Jesus and not believe in the Father who sent Him,nor can you believe in Jesus and not believe in the Comforter whom Jesus said would be sent in His name.
11 | Women Preachers? Yes or No? | 1 Cor 1:1 | souljourners | 178290
Let's go back to Deborah the Woman Judge whom God has sent to lead and fight battles. Look at Esther who courageously saved a nation of Jews. God is calling for women, men, babies and whomever he chooses to use. It does not say that women are to keep silent in church because of leadership but because the man is the head of the woman. No woman is to be in debate with the man, husband, leader over her, fore-say. If you read the verse before that it says that God is not the author or confusion but of peace. That scripture is misquoted and misunderstood by so many people. The woman is not to be in conflict with her husband or leader inside of the church, but rather wait until you are in private with your husband and ask what she will. If women weren't permitted to say anything in church where would the men be? But I am an Evangelist in the church, I have been called to preach with the blessings of my Pastor. I do believe that God made man the head of the woman, but I also believe that God is pleased with His word going forth in any manner necessary. We also have to realize that all men are not the Priest of their home, so therefore the woman have become the head of the household when it comes to spiritual things. We also have to realize that there are widows who haven't a head over them like myself. There are also single women raising their children alone. So their are different situations and different outlooks in this scripture. If most men would drop the ego and pride act, they would see that God uses whomever He pleases and it's not our decision to go against it.

15 | Women are called by God to Preach | 1 Cor 1:1 | souljourners | 178348
I would like for a man who's wife is a Minister to answer this question about woman preachers. Is it okay for women to preach or even speak in the church? There is opposition with some men. I am an Evangelist called by God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the COGIC excepts women in their organization. |

18 | 'virgin' after oral sex? | 1 Cor 6:18 | souljourners | 178608
Virgin means to be pure and untouched. Sex is sex and ordained for the multiplication of a family between a husband and a wife. Not a man and a woman unmarried. This is fornication. If you immorilize yourself through any act of sex before marriage it is sin. Whether it is intercourse of oral. |

19 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178413
The reason for the scripture as I receive it is not that a women shouldn't preach or teach in a church but that they not have authority over their husbands. We know that man is head of the wife and we are to be submissive to the husband, but I am a widow and while my husband was living he encouraged me to seek the call God has on my life. I am an Evangelist in my church and My Pastor recommended me to seek that goal. The problem in Corinth at that time the women were not submissive to their husbands and consider themselves to be equal to the man. Paul was addressing a certain situation in the Corinth church. Paul jobs was to establish churches and set order and that was the order for that church at that time. God is the true vine and we are the branches. That means all Christians, men and women alike. We have to have an open mind and an open heart to receive the word of God from whomever God chooses. Paul wrote the book of Corinthians, this was not a commandment from God. But this was an order of the church in Corinth at that present time. If women were not allowed to speak in church, that would mean that men ran the services, the praise, the testimony, the Womens'Day, Easter programs, Christmas plays etc. That would mean that we weren't allowed to pray in church, praise God in church. The Bible tell us to not quench the Spirit so how can you remain unmoved when the Holy Spirit is moving in your soul, come on now. Go beyond the egotistics of the way you are interpreting and see that there was a problem in the church in Corinth between the women and the men and who was in authority over whom. God does not ordain us to become Evangelist and Missionaries and not have anything to say in Jesus name. Come on be realistic and open-hearted. Not puff-up.
20 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178451
In the scripture it clearly states let your women keep silent. This is being addressed to the men in Corinth and Ephesis at that time and place. But before this verse the bible is talking about prophecying, correct? But we all know that Deborah was a Judge and Prophetess: Huldah was a Prophetess, and in Joel 2:28 it clearly states the sons and daughters should prophesy. On the day of Pentecost women spoke in tongues Acts 2:4, the daughters of Phillip prophesied Acts 21:9, and in 1 Corinthians 11:5 Paul gives directions of women prophesying. As I said the Spirit of God gives us the ability to be open-minded as well as open-hearted. This scripture is taken out of context so often. You have to research and find out what was going on in Corinth and Ephesus at the time Paul wrote this scripture. This was the order of that church at that time. Example: In the Old Testament it says an eye for an eye, but in the New testament it say turn the other cheek. Which will you do? Both are in the word of God. But that was the order of the church at that time during those situations. Today we have different situations in the church where God is using women to preach, teach and speak publicly. What is the big issue if God uses a woman to get His word across? All through the bible it reads where God has used woman for His work. Look at Abigail who was married to a foolish man, Nabel. She had to make his wrongs right. God used her. Look at the woman at the well. Jesus gave her permission to go and tell the Samaritans about Him. This scripture 1Corinthians 14:35 applies to the circumstances that were surrounding the church in Corinth at the time wrote the letter. This is not a direct commandment from God.
