1 | Baptism a second time? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173059
Baptism can be done over and over if someone desires. All things are according to our faith. If someone was baptised before they had faith then would this baptism be counted? It is up to the person. I was baptized again after I got truly saved. I hope by your putting quotes around the word saved, this doesn't mean you don't know if you truly are or not. ? |

2 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173060
Most always when people were filled with the Holy Ghost they had an outward sign of speaking in tongues, prophesying, or some even acted drunk. These signs are still present today and the more we are filled the deeper we are cleansed and filled with more revelation of God.
3 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173086
according to the scripture above... "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire"... is there something you are not seeing. How do you access the LIFE of Christ if you haven't received His Spirit?
4 | Baptism a second time? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173087
No I don't see any Biblical pattern for continual re-baptizing, but if you feel you have not understood it fully it can't hurt. God is not standing over us saying, ONLY ONE TIME! I have been baptised many times. Again what we receive from God we receive it by faith, and if we feel we need a spiritual cleansing after repentance or just generally, taking a dunk in the water and acknowledging the blood cleansing is wonderful! You should try it. God is wonderful and loves us... don't cha ya know!
5 | Baptism a second time? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173088
I wouldn't go to a church that required me to be baptized in thiers. That is totally unscriptual and not about the persons choice or personal walk with God.
6 | holy fire | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173089
The Bible says our God is a consuming fire. In the end in Thes. Paul talks about the earth melting with fire.
7 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173103
I would say that you should ask the Holy Spirit if there is more to receive and be open to HIm and trust that you can trust Him. God is not limited in His blessings. I think you are trying to understand in your head and not your heart. TRUST God, LIONHEART
8 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173117
The more is not about salvation or Christ's completed work, it is about the workings of the Spirit within us. There is always more and in Acts they were filled more than twice. You tangibly know when the presence of the Holy Spirit is upon or in you. There is measures of this. As in Acts when the others thought they were drunk, and when they say don't be drunk with wine but be filled with the HOly Spirit. Why do you think they compared the two. Because there is a filling of the Holy Spirit that resembles being drunk. They are not drunk as you suppose. I was saved in 1988 after being a New Age follower and dabbled in drugs in the 70's. The difference between being filled with the Holy Spirit and filled with drugs or wine is night and day. I have been drunk (filled) with the Holy Spirit and it is a refreshing, revitalizing, renewing, restoring, healing experience. The other is a counterfiet. Anyother spirit is counterfiet, I have experienced Satan's demons and they induce fear, and every other negative feeling. God's Spirit is PURE and induces love, joy, peace... there is NO comparison... forgive me if I spelled that word wrong. Thank you for being a delight to the Lord. You are a delight and He delights in you. thank you for listening. Nancy Gorman
9 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173144
Brad, (funny my brothers name is brad) I know all the scriptures to back up my words. I will take the time now to look them all up. The word is hidden in my heart by His Spirit. That is the our Complete Work of Christ. The Holy Spirit within so no man need to teach us. I speak scripture. Question one. Being Complete in Him is enough. Yet the workings of the Holy Spirit are the gifts and fruits and these may take time to be evident in our life. Fruits are love joy peace patience ... etc. I am sure you know the scriptures. The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit, are in Corinthians 12:8-10. These can be manifest immediately or need some time to develop and perfect. They are all the complete work of Christ, yet the on going work of the Holy Spirit within. Acts 8:16 "(For as yet (the Holy Ghost) was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus." The second baptism confirmed. Question 2: Jesus breathed on them and said Receive the Holy Ghost. John 20:22 Then in Acts chapter 2:4 they were filled and spoke in tongues.. 2:15 is where it says they are not drunk as you suppose. Acts 4:31 Third time: And when they prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled together and they were all filled with the HOly Ghost and they spoke the word with boldness. More than twice confirmed. Question 3. What specific things did I say are you referring to, so that I can back it up for you? My experiences are real. If you do not believe me than you are not my true brother in Christ. God is a blessing and a delight. Delight yourself in Him! He loves you!!! nancygorman |

Kalos, Are you saying that the promise of the Holy Spirit, aka the Comforter (John 14:26), The Spirit of Truth (14:17), who is literally the Spirit of Christ (2 Cor 3:17), is not a part of that full gospel? Nancy |

12 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173160
I thought your were responding to the question about being baptized in the Spirit when you were comparing it to the full gospel term. Very Good.
13 | Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? | Matt 3:11 | nancygorman | 173229
When I said heart, as in the Word, I meant Spirit. That is why we need to be baptised by the Holy Spirit in order to allow HIM to teach us by HIS Spirit, not by our intellect. John 16:13 How be it when HE, the Spirit of Truth comes, HE will guide you to ALL truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but what ever he shall hear that he shall speak: and he will show you things to come. You say "OURS is a Study Bible Forum." Is this "OURS" dominated by a people who like to argue against the things of the Spirit? I am not interested in arguing like this, because it borders on blaspheming the Holy Spirit. |
