1 | Does God ever change his mind? | 2 Kin 20:6 | lovly2me1 | 84304
They say that God changes not, but so typical of the Bible, there is always contradiction. When someone quotes you Malachi3:6, you can quote them this.... Jer 42:10 If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull [you] down, and I will plant you, and not pluck [you] up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you. |

oh sorry Hank, I thought you had read the first answer. "They", being Malachi 3:6 and many others too.
3 | Does God ever change his mind? | 2 Kin 20:6 | lovly2me1 | 84325
Oh sorry, does repent mean: to change? I don't know, it just doesnt look right to me. Now let's see... Mal 3:6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Exd 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. Now, if repent means to change, is this not contradictory? But, really there is so much in the scriptures that is contradictory, for instance, christians like to say dont judge, yet what does the Bible do but judge. Everything in it judges not only the sinner, but the Christian as well. How can you not judge people when you're always being judged? Now, I thought I had made the contradiction thing plain in the first place, if you dont see those two scriptures as contradictory (Mal 3:6 and Exd.32:14) well, maybe its just me. As for the bible being the Word of God, I'd have to say that there probably is no God and the Bible is a crock. But thats just my opinion. And Hank if the Bible were not so confusing and contradictory, Christians would not be so confused and you wouldnt need this FORUM. note: I think I used a different scrip in my last note, the one you questioned, but still, it is God repenting again. |

Hank, Studying is how you find out whether something is true or not. You study and then you decide. What I found is after 22 years of thinking I knew God, that he either doesnt exist or he's just very cruel. And judging from the amount of things that Christians dont know, Id say, He probably just doesnt exist. |

Bravo. You sound foolish to me, just like I must have sounded to other people when I used to tell them the same thing. Prove there's a God, or just say you believe there is one. Stop trying to act like you just KNOW what you are talking about. If I were to ask you what has God done for you, there is nothing more you could probably say except like all the rest of the Christians is "He woke me up this morning". Well, he woke up Saddam Husein too. He woke up Charles Manson and George Bush too. You can believe what ever you want, its your life. |

6 | Does God ever change his mind? | 2 Kin 20:6 | lovly2me1 | 84339
No Hank, I dont know why. Can you tell me? Is it because a Christian's faith is only hanging by a bare thread and for someone to tell you that they have been a Christian for 22 years and has just now, today actually, decided that based on what I seen of God and the things that have happened in my life, and looking at how confused Christians are, that I no longer believe? If someone had come to me with this, I would have just prayed for them, knowing they were just confused and needed help. Nothing like this could ever have broken my faith, but then thats just me.

You know, I have been reading through this forum and have not as yet determined what would cause this particular thread to be restircted. Is it maybe because, what I have been saying is true? I was determined not to respond anymore, but received another response in my Email today. I want to say to you, that in my readings of this forum, and in response to your most recent response, you people are total hypocrites. Now you can go ahead and delete this! Have you ever seen people of other religions that you consider false, just following blindly. Well you people are doing the same thing. Dont you just wish those people would really look at what they are believing in and wake up. The fact that you have restricted this post lets me know that you know what you are believing is a total crock. You mean to tell me that you need to protect the faith of grown people, people that are "filled with the spirit". Now, to your response Parable, "I have trouble accepting your interpretation that scripture contradicts itself." The problem here is, why do we have to accept, interpret, figure out, ask questions, debate, share ideas etc. on something so important? Why do you have to "have ears" to hear what the spirit is saying? Why could Jesus never answer a simple question with a simple answer? Why does it all have to be so confusing? Why? Because Satan is the author of confusion. That is my opinion. I am so sorry, but I was doing fine until everybody convinced me that I have to go back to church. I stayed out of church because it was confusing me. When I went back these last couple of weeks I became confused again and lost faith. I have never seen anything more confused than a Christian. You should not be having trouble excepting my interpretation, if you knew what you were talking about (no offence intended) you would just say, "that is not true". So, all in all maybe Satan is the author of Christianity. |

You said: 6. Regarding Satan, you seem to agree with scripture. But, Satan is not the author of Christianity. Jesus explained why this makes no sense when he said "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." -- Mat 12:25 Think I'll become a Muslim, they're still standing too. As for my church, I dont really have one. That particular Sunday, I went to two different churches. I stopped going a long time ago because of all the confusion that I see, and believe me I've been to many. As for the rest of what you've said, you'd make a good Jehova's Witness. I'm tired of this. I seek answers right now from God and from Him alone. This is my last response and I'm sure you'll take full advantage of it, needing to get in the last word. They really should just delete this whole thread. |

Brian, This was very nice of you. Dont have much time right now, but just wanted you to know that there is not one of you on here, that has sought God more than me. That has tried harder to please him, more than me. Why do you think I'm so down? I have gotten no revelations, no answers to prayer. The hell just goes on and on and continues to accumulate. If you were in my shoes, you would be feeling the same way. Maybe whats needed is for God to do some of the things he says he can do. Why keep blaming ourselves? If he never comes through for you, what would or could you possibly think. I dont know about the rest of you but Im only human and if the God I beleive in makes all kinds of promises that I never see kept, and claims he has a love that I have never seen, what am I to believe. If the situations, should ever change, I will be the first to let you know. |

Considered it ended, until such times as Christians can admit they dont have all the answers. Had you all not been so cocky, you might have referred me to the book of Job. Job 13:13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what [will]. |

11 | Why did Job love God? | Job | lovly2me1 | 73380
I want to give thanks to those asking and answering this question. It is one that I have asked myself. I would like to know however, why do you think Job loved God so much, if not the fact that God had blessed him so from the beginning?
12 | Why did Job love God? | Job | lovly2me1 | 73451
Thank you very much Thomas, for not ridiculing me for asking this question and for your answer as well. It is an important issue to me. I now realize that I do not love God for his majesty. I dont know why or how to. I guess because I originally came to him because I needed help. I didn't get it, and it has been 22 years now. In all that time, I have seen very little of God. Sometimes, I'm not even sure that he exist.

graceful, I cannot discribe to you how I'm feeling right now, about your response, I really cant. Just know that I am so grateful to you. I feel as though there is a rock around my heart that God is chipping away at. I am crying even as I type. I dont know why, and this is the second time this has happened to me this week. I am sad because I dont understand WHY I feel that way about God,and sad because I DO. Bless you for thinking of me. Yes, I gave my life to the Lord 22 years ago, next month. It has been pure hell, but I have held on, and when I couldn't, God held on to me. I was baptized with the Holy Spirit, that same month, the month of my 27 birthday. The Lord sent someone the day of my 27 birthday to witness to me. I have felt love for him at various times, but mostly, I felt he hated me, so at times, I have hated him, because I was totally confused. I hope this is the beginning of a healing for me. Bless YOU! |

15 | In the service of the Lord, yet unsaved? | Matt 7:21 | lovly2me1 | 74430
Please tell me how this scripture compares to: Rom 8:1 "there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus". 1John 4:15 "Whosoever shall confss that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God". |

16 | Why quote scriptures? | Matt 7:23 | lovly2me1 | 74007
In response to the answer to this question, I just wanted to ask what someone today asked me. How do you respond when someone says "but who says the Bible is the truth? What about the Koran etc.? Why sould I believe the Bible?" After all, you are quoting scriptures to this person. If they dont believe in the Bible, what then? I always tell them that if they want to know the truth, to seek God, he will reveal the truth to them, then they can read all the other books and see which one is true. |

17 | What is iniquity in Matthew 7:23? | Matt 7:23 | lovly2me1 | 74010
I truly praise God for this website. I sit here in awe, reading some of the responses to questions, and think, how amazing, the things some people know. I have been caused to do so much thinking since Ive been comming here (2 weeks now). According to the things Ive read here, I dont even know if I'm really saved anymore, but at least I'm less confused.
18 | What is iniquity in Matthew 7:23? | Matt 7:23 | lovly2me1 | 74021
Ed, You see what I'm saying? Your response was so quick and I was notified of it, and I do understand what you are telling me. I know my scriptures pretty well and am prayerful about the things I read here and I pretty much know who to listen to, but still...this is "lovly2me". Thanks for responding. |

20 | Is there no place for romance in Heaven? | 2 Cor 5:8 | lovly2me1 | 83933
My finace just died. We were very much in love, but never got a chance to be together. Does the Bible have anything to say about relationships in heaven? What about on the "new earth"? Who will live on the earth?
