1 | Any meeting in the prayer meeting? | Not Specified | fellowlaborer | 161205
Jesus said, My house shall be called the House of Prayer (Matt 21:13, Luke 19:46). Is He referring to the synagogue/church? From my experience in the church - there are usually 1 percent of the number of members that attend "prayer meeting" - why is that? Many churches do not have "prayer meetings" or "prayer groups" - yet, Jesus said, "My house shall be called the House of Prayer. What would happen if the numbers would come out or join in a group of praying believers?
2 | Will the real Christian please stand up? | Not Specified | fellowlaborer | 161207
This question may be consideed an appeal. Nowadays, believers are claiming to have no religion - yet James 1:27 mentions a pure and undefiled religion is ... Maybe our goal is to have this type of religion which can only be accomplished by a healthy relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Is Christianity a religion identified by Christians - those who are Christ-like? Or should we allow "Christian" to just be a concept, idea or lean-to. I think if we would boldly challenge or qualify those who say I'm a Christian we could do some serious witnessing. What do you think?

5 | Trinity or Oneness? | Bible general Archive 4 | fellowlaborer | 225391
Great answer BradK in describing the Trinity and thanks for the additional tidbit about Trinitarian, I will do further research on that. I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach Bible Study for the months November and December; and we are in the book of ACTS. And, that is one item I tried to make clear. What I found is in the KJV 1 John 5:7 shows the "Trinity"; however, in many other versions it looks like that verse was omitted. Have you noticed? Blessings Fellowlaborer |

6 | I want my wife back | Bible general Archive 3 | fellowlaborer | 186029
My Dear Brother, after reading your entry - this delicate matter I will lift before our Father in prayer. We do want to be careful not to seek scripture to justify the course of action we choose or for the sake of getting our desired expectation - which can easily fall into carnality. I believe the whole Word of God and believe we have power and authority according to His Word to "call those things that are not as though they were" to pray and stand on the promises of God; and, I know all things are possible with God. And yes - forgiveness and restoration is so much a part of love and marriage. Yet, there are consequences to every choice we make -- good consequences or nore challenging consequences. Is this more of a prayer request? And, if you are both believers the scripture I would admonish is Matthew 6:33 and as you give yourself to the Word and prayer the Lord will heal and restore as you follow His lead. We can pray with you... and this is what I remind us "married folks" with - God does not make robots; we all still have free-will, free-choice. Whatever the outcome - we pray that forgiveness, healing and restoration will have complete manifestation in both of your lives. 2 Cor 5:18 is an initial calling given to believers - "ministry of reconciliation" -- that is what we preach, that is what we live -- that is love. I will stop now. Be blessed. |

7 | Did God create Life? | Gen 1:1 | fellowlaborer | 161197
Dear Abccan I will take time to answer this question. When you open your Bible to Genesis - which means beginning. And it reads vs 1"in the beginning..."; and, in Genesis 2:7 the breath of life is mentioned. In this book - Genesis we find most of creation on earth/ life on earth. If this does not answer your question please restate your question and maybe others will chime in. God bless you.
8 | Did God create Life? | Gen 1:1 | fellowlaborer | 161274
Please help me clarify your question - are you asking if God created me - a person? Spirit, soul and Body? Would you say without the breath of life there would be no life? All life creation is found in Genesis 1:1- I will say all life in the heavens, and in earth. The earth creations are more detailed in Genesis, and can be found in the book of Job and in the Psalms (that's without indepth study) However, I will take time if need be to identify more specific scriptural passages but, I hope you will pursue the research with just a few pointers. Also, the heavens' creations can be found in Ezekiel, Isaiah, Psalms, and Revelations (again, without indepth study of this particular matter). Again, if I am totally missing your question - please reword the question to help me understand what you are asking. God bless you!
9 | Did God create Life? | Gen 1:1 | fellowlaborer | 161290
That is pretty good. But, I cannot find where the Word states God is life. I do find where it states God is Love.I John 4:8 Now, I find this inquisition is much deeper than I initially perceived. Also, I differ about the "invisible" part - When Jesus was asked show us the Father Jn 14:8-9. Moses saw His hinder part, Isaiah saw the Lord, etc. and I see the "invisible." Am I still missing the question?

12 | When were marriages first documented ? | Deut 24:1 | fellowlaborer | 207136
The question I am asking is directed to our historians and archaeological experts: the scripture mentions a certificate of divorce Deut 24:1. It seems that the people were writing and possibly records or certificates were composed. A couple of co-workers questioned me or challenged me about marriage. They said it is only a piece of paper and that marriage license was established in the 17th century. Because I recalled the mention of a writ of divorce; I assumed there must have been a certificate of marriage. Then, I was thinking maybe when paper, papyrus, was developed court records were established. Anyway, can I get some help? When I look up origins of marriage, there is a flood of opinions especially regarding same-sex marriage. Maybe I am going about this all wrong? Thanks Fellowlaborer |

16 | What about this teaching? | Eccl 3:21 | fellowlaborer | 191609
Praise the Lord Everybody. Thank God for His holy Word for His Word we can stand on. Just as most of us, we have opinions and I believe the Quaker historian Cadbury is entitled to his. Yet allow me to magnify the Lord -- God's Word is more than a book or a record. John 1:1,14 (and I'm just basking on the shore) In the beginnning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word is God... I will say the quotation noted with the question is not biblically sound. Matt 5:8 For heaven and earth shall pass away But God's Word shall Stand... God bless you - let's bless Him at all times.
17 | Bride - Church or New Jerusalem? | Is 61:10 | fellowlaborer | 185975
Greetings Everyone. Thank you Cherie the scriptures and question you posed caused me to consider... Isa 61:10 reveals a grateful soul that has been redeemed; being clothed in salvation; whereas, before decked in the garments of hell and destruction - now covered in the robe of righteusness... Hallelujah, it's beautiful and yet it seems of a different direction of the question you posed. When I pondered your question regarding the Church, in reference - so many terms and phrases are used many times, lending variables that cause us to search out the scripture. To name some: "Zion" [Isa 51:16, 52:1, Heb 12:22, (relating to the Holy City) and more]; "Israel" [Mk 12:29; Matt 2:6, Rom 9:6(Hallelujah! We're included)]; "Kingdom of God" Luke 17:20-21 (referring to our Christ as well); and the Church being called the "Bride of Christ," for one, may stem from Eph 5:23-32 beautifully describing love reflected in the union of marriage; and there is scripture referring to our God as husbandman. The Church - sometimes referred to lands/nations - geographical id; and some such as: "body of Christ," "sons of God," "children of God," - relational id. Thank you for the "digging excursion." It's okay, to refer to the church as the bride of Christ -- I don't think God would be moved much by semantics. Okaayyyy, I'll stop. |

20 | Can a wife divorce a husband for some re | Matt 19:1 | fellowlaborer | 160974
Dear Hana, every time I hear the word divorce my spirit cringes. This is a very sensitive matter; however, let's look at the Word of God. Malachi 2:16 tells us God hates divorce; and, we know Jesus in agreement with the Father yet He expounds a bit more on the subject. In Matt 5:32 "...but, I say..." and in Matt 19 and from verse 8 "...hardness of heart..." Now, to answer your question - "immorality" which I believe encompasses abuse would give some reasons. Yet, I always encourage the Believer to be led by the Spirit of God to be in line with His will - which is His Word.
