3 | What purpose does The Holy Spirit serve? | Luke 11:13 | Revelator1217 | 88921
The Holy Spirit is our helper (John 14:26). The completeness of man and Holy Spirit help us to avoid the sins of this world. Now another question is why did Jesus get baptized if he had never sinned? The answer is that he was showing us, being an example for us. Just be willing to give up all, including your life if need be, take up YOUR CROSS and follow Jesus (Mark 8:34; John 12:25). Read Matthew 3:15,16; John 3:1-8. In Matthew the Spirit is made VISIBLE in the shape of a dove. In John, Jesus says that the spiit is like the wind (meaning it's there but it can't be seen). We are born again when we are baptized, but it isn't untill we are born again from above (baptized by Holy Spirit) that we will enter Heaven (John 3:5). Unfortunatly most of us are not completely believing or willing to give ourselves up at the time of our water baptizm that we don't get the immediate baptizm of the Holy Spirit as Jesus and many of the Early Disciples (Matthew 3:16) To answer your Question Shortly, the Holy spirit is a guide to help you in everyday life and you can't enter heaven without it. Just be willing to give your all, even your life if need be, and take up YOUR CROSS and follow Jesus (Mark 8:34; John 12:25) then you will recive the Baptizm of the Spirit. |

5 | What is "Moral Law"? | Rom 3:20 | Revelator1217 | 88918
we are not bound by the law, say sacrifices and most festivals that pointed to the coming of Christ. If we still follow these laws we wouldn't believe Jesus has came already but we would believe that Jesus still needed to come. Are still supposed to follow the 10 Commandments (God's Moral Law). Many will say that we don't have to anymore but the bible tells otherwise (Matthew 5:17-20; Romans 3:31; 1 John 2:3-4; 5:2-3; Revelation 12:17) and the list goes on and on. Many people don't want to listen to God they don't want to follow his commandments even though most Christians already are following the commandments. Eg. they would never steal anything, they would never kill anyone; yet pastors say it is impossible to follow the commandments. Yah Right! |

7 | What is "Moral Law"? | Gal 2:20 | Revelator1217 | 88924
Revelation 12:17 among many other verses tells us that God's true people, not the so-called Christians who are only picking a Religion not a savior, both have faith in Jesus and Follow the commandments. No, they do not save you, but they will be there to judge you on your day of rewards. |

8 | Is God hand so short that he cannot lead | Col 2:21 | Revelator1217 | 88914
First I want to say that you are right, we can drink fermented wine. My church teaches abstinance from alcohol also and I abstain from it also, not because of the church but because the Holy Spirit told me to. Now for the rebutal. Most churches rather than going for alcohol they go against it, mostly because of the bad things associated with it (eg.drunk driving, abuse, murder, forication, ect.). again another problem is America's standards. We live in a fast paced, super sized world where we don't know when too much is too much. This is one thing to think about. Where do most people do their drinking? Is it OK for a Christian to go thier? Now Read these verses and give it some prayer and ask God to answer for you (1 Peter 4:2-4; Romans 13:12-14; 1 Corinthians 8:9-10,12). Sometimes what isn't meant to be bad become bad; just look at Adam and Eve. |

9 | can you explina the book of heb 6-1;2 | Heb 6:1 | Revelator1217 | 88902
To understand you must take the word in the begining of Heb 6:1 "therefore" this tells you to that it is continuing from chapter 5, 5:11-14 to be exact. It tells us that the Hebrews should have been mighty in their walks with Christ, but instead they where still baby Christians. Heb. 6:1 tells us that they where constantly sinning (laying foundation of repentance) and probably backlsiding (advancing steadily toward completeness). The dead works of course could be found in James 2:18,25; 1 Corinthians 13:1-3,13. works are dead useless you are connected to the vine (John 15:4). |
