Can't you read English? One member is a Catholic, the other a Non-Catholic (Protestant), both Christians. Are you trying to say that Catholics or Protestants, are unbelievers? Or that one of them is unrighteousness? Or that one of them is darkness? Just what exactly is your point?
3 | Marriage to a Catholic? | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 21712
Thanks Hank! I do believe Catholics are Christians. I would like more info on your daughter's experience. Where did she marry? Where do they go to church now? Are they blending the religions or have they adopted just one of them as part of their marriage? Has it been a struggle for them? I could be making a bigger deal about this than I should, however, I just wanted to turn to this forum for all of your thoughts and opinions. Thanks again everyone.
4 | Marriage to a Catholic? | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 21708
Thanks for your response Sir Pent. I am not in the planning stages yet. We are not even engaged yet. I am just mastering the possibilities, if you will. I will say, however, that because of our love for one another, we do plan on getting married much sooner now (between 1.5 to 2.5 years). We are starting to get things in order for our union.
5 | Marriage to a Catholic? | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 21699
What's the best advice you can give someome (a Christian) who is goint to marry a Catholic? Is it wrong to marry in the Catholic Church? Should the marriage be in a "Protestant" church? What other things need to be considered under these circumstances? Thank you in advance for your advice and input. Blessings!

Interesting answers considering that no "Christian" church allowed the use of contraception until 1929. The Bible does not mention contraception so we must turn to the Church for guidance. Personally, I don't believe churches that allow contraception are guided by the Holy Spirit. Just my opinion ladies and gentlemen.
7 | Rebaptism Okay? | Not Specified | JMR | 18814
Is it okay to be baptized, by water, more than once? I have a friend who is going to get baptized for the second time, the first time happened when she was around 7 years old. Now at 23, she wants to do it again. What does the Bible say about this?

9 | Any changes? | 1 Corinthians | JMR | 18813
Thank you all for your responses. However, neither one of us were virgins when we "hooked up", this change came about after a year of "hooking up". We had plans to marry 3 years from now and she just decided to abstain totally until we married. How would your responses differ after knowing more details? Do they remain the same?
10 | Is sex between singles a sin? | 1 Corinthians | JMR | 17587
Thank you all for answering my question. Your responses were insightful and very welcome. As you can imagine, I am currently struggling with this issue and I only hope it gets easier for me to deal with as time goes by. I ask that you please pray for me and my girlfriend during this time of difficulty for me/us. Thanks and may God bless you all richly. -JMR |

11 | Is sex between singles a sin? | Not Specified | JMR | 17491
This might sound like an easy question to answer, but I'm confused. I am a single male (never been married) dating a single female (never been married). Would having sex be a sin? The Ten Commandments don't address this issue (see Exodus 20:3-17) nor is it addressed in the two commandments on which the whole Law and the Prophets depend on (see Matt 22:36-40).

13 | Was Jesus ONLY son or daughter of Mary? | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 11538
Did Jesus Christ have any blood brothers or sisters? In other words, did Mary (Jesus' mom) give birth to anyone else besides Jesus? Please cite reference(s) with your response. Thank you.
14 | once saved, always saved. | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 10775
Interesting. I don't have the time that you have to cite biblical verses, nor am I that familiar with the Bible, but I did come across this verse, Gal. 1:3, which states, Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He MIGHT deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the WILL of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen. How do you explain this? |

15 | It's not that easy | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 10766
So if I believe in Jesus as my savior (which I do) and ask for His forgiveness (which I do everyday), I'm saved? So what happens if I kill someone or commit adultery? Will I still then be saved? I don't think it's that easy. That's why I believe it is a mystery. God is the only one who truly knows our hearts.
16 | Are all Christians going to heaven? | Matt 7:21 | JMR | 10603
Good question. I am of the belief that it is truly a mystery whether one goes to Heaven or not. After all, only God can and will judge, and only He knows our heart.

18 | Can a priest forgive sins? | John 20:23 | JMR | 7538
In John 20:21-23, it appears to me that Jesus gave the authority to forgive sins to men acting in His name. Also, in 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, it appears that this refers to the forgiveness of sins granted by Christ thru his ministers. St. Peter received from Christ this binding and loosing authority separately from and before the other disciples (see Matt 16:18,19 and Matt 18:18). |

19 | Protestantism challenged? | Matt 18:17 | JMR | 3064
In my opinion, this challenges Protestantism. Can anyone give me some insight into this verse? I am confused right now. Thanks.
20 | What do you think of new Holman Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | JMR | 2517
I read some of it and it was no big deal. I didn't really like it. In my opinion, the NASB is still the best Bible out there. No other Bible even comes close to NASB's literal translation.
