1 | Removing Holy Spirit removes the church | 2 Thess 2:7 | E T Pastor | 175935
If the One Who restrains Who is taken away is the Holy Spirit surely this MUST mean there is a Pre-Trib Rapture... because He is OMNIPRESENT. There is NOWHERE for Him to go. It MUST refer to the taking away of the Holy Spirit IN HIS PEOPLE THE CHURCH? How else can this verse be interpreted?

Thank you, Mark. I am not a Greek Scholar, which is why I appreciate your response. I Understand there is some variation in how people interpret this verse. My feeling is that it is in fact the MASTER-KEY to prove the PRe-Trib Rapture IF and ONLY IF it is fair to conclude from this verse that the Restrainer is a Person (not the Roman Empire nor any other Government)and not any ordinary person (Singular) but the Holy Spirit Himself (and certainly not satan restraining himself). The church is also referred to as a singular male namely the body of Christ (one new man Ephesians 2:15). As I said in my question, it is unacceptable to me to think that the Holy Spirit could be removed from anywhere, because it is the Unchangeable Nature of God to be Omnipresent (except of course when JESUS limited Himself to human form). I also do not believe the word means that the Holy Spirit stays in His OmniPresence, but somehow "steps aside" from doing His work of restraining. Not that the Father could not issue such an instruction. But it would be made clearer in the Word that God was going to do such an act, as it was explained about Jesus in Philippians 2. My reason for wanting to clarify this with people of greater knowledge than myself is because I am CONVINCED by the Bible and by Signs of the Times that many others have not yet seen, that the LAST GENERATION is on Earth RIGHT NOW. Every Blessing, Nick. |
