2 | Why Jews and Isrel chossen? | Ex 19:5 | watchman on the wall | 221182
The question was not hard to answer. The ability for you to understand or comprehend the anwsers seems to be what is hard. This might help you out "doc". Answer: Speaking of the nation of Israel, Deuteronomy 7:7-9 tells us, “The LORD did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath He swore to your forefathers that He brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.” God chose the nation of Israel to be the people through whom Jesus Christ would be born—the Savior from sin and death (John 3:16). God first promised the Messiah after Adam and Eve’s fall into sin (Genesis chapter 3). God later confirmed that the Messiah would come from the line of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 12:1-3). Jesus Christ is the ultimate reason why God chose Israel to be His special people. God did not need to have a chosen people, but He decided to do it that way. Jesus had to come from some nation of people, and God chose Israel. However, God’s reason for choosing the nation of Israel was not solely for the purpose of producing the Messiah. God’s desire for Israel was that they would go and teach others about Him. Israel was to be a nation of priests, prophets, and missionaries to the world. God’s intent was for Israel to be a distinct people, a nation who pointed others towards God and His promised provision of a Redeemer, Messiah, and Savior. For the most part, Israel failed in this task. However, God’s ultimate purpose for Israel—that of bringing the Messiah into the world—was fulfilled perfectly in the Person of Jesus Christ. |

7 | why change the writting on the croass | John 19:21 | watchman on the wall | 221147
As I have written in my profile. My question was why did they want to change the writting. I mean they got what they wanted so "WHY" Here is Why. All from history. the Writing in "Hebrew JESUS OF NAZARETH THE [AND]KING OF THE JEWS" During the pass over the Jewish family would tie a bronze name tag around the "pet" lamb. Each father wanted God to know that his family was observing the passover. He wanted God to recognize that the lamb that bore his family name was being sacrificed for them. What could the name tag have to due with the Lord's crucifixion? John 19:19-20 Pilate wrote it " or did he" remmeber in Jn 19:10-11 [V10] Pilate said he had the power [V11] Jesus said you have no power except what God has give to you. We have to understand it was Jewish custom to take the first letters of the words or phrase and put them togeather to see if there was a hidden meaning. This custom dated back to the time of Babylonian captivity. The Roman Catholic church has used this ancient custom by four letters on the back of thier cruifixes "INRI" these are the first four letters of the four words of the inscriptin on the cross as they appeared in Latin "INRI" abbriviation the Laten phrase "JESUS THE NAZARENE THE KING OF THE JEWS" Taking a closer look at the individual Hebrew letters, remember the Hebrew is read from Right to Left. "Y"eshua "H"anatzri "V"emelech "H"ayhoodem "YHVH" In the O.T this is the unspeakable name of God [6,000 times in the O.T] Add the vowels and you get Jehovah or Yaweh] God put His His family name on the cross to show that Christ was His chosen lamb. The religious leadesr were saying to Pilate that if you don't change it you are telling every one that this man is "GOD" The Jews tag said this lamb is for you from us. God said this is my lamb from me for the whole world to see. |

10 | Was Jesus crucified naked? | Matt 27:35 | watchman on the wall | 221097
As we read in Gen. Adam was born naked up to the time he sinned, and when he sinned he was covered by a fig to cover up shame in the eye's of God Today as before we are born naked, representing the birth of adam. And after birth then we are clothed to cover up are sinful nature. Jesus Christ died under Roman Law not Jewish [stoning] for to die on the cross our Lord died naked as to Roman customs. This would be symbolic to the sinless state that Adam was created. There for He died sinless for there was no cover up for sin. |

11 | why 6 hurs on the cross | Bible general Archive 4 | watchman on the wall | 221096
Hi Brad: Jesus hung on the cross for 6 hours; Why six. On pass over, all the Jews brought thier lambs to the temple be in sacrificed. Here is your answer. At exactly 9 the first lamb was started/the first nail was started. at exactly 3 the last LAMB was sacrificed at the temple/And that was when Jesus died the last LAMB was sacrifice. See the comparison. All scripture is fine tune for a reason you just have to put it to geather. God Bless. |

BradK: Thank you for your come back on a insight that I think was valid. Only because Christ only spoke of the Kingdom and His people. I love the come backs on many inputs. It is like you have a car out side and 10 people to be ask what do you see? And you will have 10 different answers to what they see in the car. But it is all on the car different perspective. All in all good answer but is only threw an other person view. It is just one I do not see. But that is me. God bless you my friend Watchman |

Thank for your come back: But here it is in a nut shell. [1] Jesus came to earth as a king Jn 18:36-37 Born a King Mt 2:2 died a King Mt 27:37 Come back a King Rev 17:14 [2] Israel is God first born His son Ex 4:22 [3] Jesus had nothing to do with the Gentiles Mt 15:26, Mk 7:27; Mt 7:6; 10:5; Jn 1:11 In Mt 10:6 Jesus said "But" go rather to the house of Israel Lost sheep Isa 53:6,Jer50:6,17 In Mt 15:24 He answered and said " I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel 1 Pet 2:25 [4] When Jesus was here He only was within the law Which puts the Prodical son Israel and the older son is clearly a picture of the Pharisees in thier self-righteousness [5] The younger son shows God's unfailing love for Israel. [6] His Glory to the son is when he [Israel] comes back t the father. Remember in Ezek 37 the dry bones that came to life. That is the regathering of the Jews to go back to there home land. And they are doing just that by the thousands Isa 11:11; Dt 30:3-5 This has to be a nation not a person in this parable. |
