1 | Are there different heavenly rewards? | 2 Tim 1:9 | slide_m46 | 119895
Would it be correct to interpret the workers in the vineyard story as "heaven itself as the reward?" If we accept Christ, even on our death bed, and we do it with sincerity and truth, then heaven IS our reward. The same reward as someone who chose to accept Christ when they were 8 years old. Whether we accept Him early or late, the reward is the same, ie. heaven itself. God being a just and righteous God, He rewards us with His grace and takes us to His heavenly home. This may leave an unanswered question about the reward which may differ for some....once in heaven. Your thoughts? |

Puddy, Thanks so much for your response. I would however like to have some scriptural support for your response. I too have an opinion, but I prefer to rely on God's word for my final opinion, and being short on time to actually research this myself I am hoping for some support that might direct me to particular books an verses in God's word. God bless and keep you, and continue studying.
3 | Did God create evil? | Is 45:7 | slide_m46 | 118592
We have no option BUT to disobey Him.....without His help. Remember, "No one CAN come to me except that my Father who sent me draws him." Our righteousness is like "filthy rags", etc. etc. etc. We are "at enmity with God." I am naturally a sinner. I am forgiven by His grace through the perfect sacrifice of Christ Jesus. Without Christ, the way the truth and the life, I cannot see the Father. Without God's call, I cannot come to the Son. |

4 | Where is the Changed lives? | Eccl 11:5 | slide_m46 | 118542
Could not agree more with Hank. God's "call"to us comes in many forms. Christ told us that "No one comes to me except that My Father who sent me draws him... So to those the Father is calling through these media, their eternal importance cannot be measured. It is clear that in the last days the gospel will be preached to all the earth. What better way to make this happen than using the very same media that Satan uses to corrupt? Lives ARE being changed, daily. Your own life is changed in the sense that you asked a question about these "works" that has caused others to turn to His word, to reflect on it, and to offer words of encouragement to complete strangers! Praise God from whom all blessing flow!
5 | Did Jesus die for the whole world? | Rom 10:17 | slide_m46 | 76769
I would agree with the "whoever will" thought. However, the question is this. WHO WILL? The answer to who will, is those who CAN. Those who can, are named in John 6:44 and again in John 6:65, (No one CAN come to me unless my Father who sent me DRAWS him.) These are our Lord's words. Then the question in my mind at least, becomes, Who can resist the will of Almighty God. Can we mere humans do this? I think that there is substantial scriptural support for the thought that NO ONE can resist the will of God. If you can help me to understand this whole thing better, I would appreciate it.
6 | Who does the Father draw to Christ? | John 6:44 | slide_m46 | 76136
Thanks for your response Hank. Again it leav es me puzzled as to how Christ's sacrifice could be anything other than perfect, that is, it did exactly what the Father intended it to do. Further, if the Father is not willing that ANY should perish, why do so many do so? I always remember that this does not effect my salvation in Christ Jesus. It does still puzszle me however that I see so many not moved by the Holy Spirit, and hence not coming to Christ. I bare in mind that NOONE can come to the Father except through His son and NOONE can come to Jesus unless the Father draws one to Him. It seems paradoxical to me and I am still struggling with this. I will continue to pray and read God's word, and allow the Holy spirit to reveal God to me. God bless you.
7 | Who does the Father draw to Christ? | John 6:44 | slide_m46 | 76037
I would say based on my study of the scripture that "all" would mean all that the Father has given Him, as per His words in scripture. But frankly, I have no idea what ALL means. That is the purpose of my question. I certainly don't claim to know everything, nor even a tiny fraction thereof. I am just a Christian soul searching for greater knowledge about the God that made me and sent His Son to save me. It seems though, that the more I study and feel I may be at the end of the trail, I only recognize that the end is actually another bend...God bless
8 | Are there any "people" created by Satan? | Gen 2:7 | slide_m46 | 76035
I must say that I have no idea what you're talking about Goodlife. I asked the question because of some scripture in which our Lord Jesus says that some are "of their Father the Devil." In actuality I am wrestling with the issue of the predestination of the elect, and how that might "square" with the idea that maybe those not elected for salvation possibly aren't elected because they have a different "father", ie. satan. I wanted to know if there might be any scriptural support for that concept. No matter, there is no denying that Jesus is my savior and I only wish that all could be so moved by the Spirit as to accept Christ and participate in His saving grace. God bless you.
9 | Hosea and ripping babies from the wombs | Hosea | slide_m46 | 30825
God bless you for your answer. I will share this with my "freind". She is not really a freind, but rather a chat room acquantance who goes to the room to cause division among the lovers of Christ. She is also there, in my opinion, to sway those "on the fence" away from Jesus. I have to stop it! I pray to our Lord God for strength thru Christ Jesus. Take care. PS. If interested, it's Yahoo christian chat room 4. You are welcomed to assist any time you like. Praise His Holy Name.
