I just wanted to add a very important part that is missing here and that is If you repent of your sin, ask for forgiveness from God and those involved, turn from your sin, Jesus will remember your sin no more because He died once for All. The key is true repentance and turning from your sin and not committing it again. That does not mean that there are not consequences for our actions, because there are. There are always consequences for our sin but the Good News Is Christ forgives.
2 | What does the Bible say about cremation? | Bible general Archive 4 | pmarieb | 237032
I would also add that we are to treat our bodies as a temple and my look on that is, again my opinion because it is true the bible does not say either way but I can't wrap my mind around having my body burned vs being buried. I just keep remembering Shadrach Meshach and Abednego. Even though they walked through the fire unharmed, the fire was for punishment and death and that's one reason I am not in favor of cremation however, if it is all a person can afford, I don't believe it matters to the Lord because our souls leave our bodies and we are given new ones in heaven. I hope that makes you feel a little better about the question.
