1 | Is masturbation wrong? | Rom 2:15 | nallon | 181443
The Message John 5 20-23"But you haven't seen the half of it yet, for in the same way that the Father raises the dead and creates life, so does the Son. The Son gives life to anyone he chooses. Neither he nor the Father shuts anyone out. The Father handed all authority to judge over to the Son so that the Son will be honored equally with the Father. Anyone who dishonors the Son, dishonors the Father, for it was the Father's decision to put the Son in the place of honor. 24"It's urgent that you listen carefully to this: Anyone here who believes what I am saying right now and aligns himself with the Father, who has in fact put me in charge, has at this very moment the real, lasting life and is no longer condemned to be an outsider. This person has taken a giant step from the world of the dead to the world of the living. 25-27"It's urgent that you get this right: The time has arrived—I mean right now!—when dead men and women will hear the voice of the Son of God and, hearing, will come alive. Just as the Father has life in himself, he has conferred on the Son life in himself. And he has given him the authority, simply because he is the Son of Man, to decide and carry out matters of Judgment. I seems you are asking for judgement and it is not our responsibility. What is our duty is to "Love" as we have been Loved by God. The act of masturbation release chemicals within the brain that gives a feeling of euphoria. It is used as a form of self medication. Indicating a need for comfort. If we view one another with the eyes of God we can look beyond the mud and see the eternal being. Psalm 103:6 God makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet. He showed Moses how he went about his work, opened up his plans to all Israel. God is sheer mercy and grace; not easily angered, he's rich in love. He doesn't endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges forever. He doesn't treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs. As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him. And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins. As parents feel for their children, God feels for those who fear him. He knows us inside and out, keeps in mind that we're made of mud. Men and women don't live very long; like wildflowers they spring up and blossom, But a storm snuffs them out just as quickly, leaving nothing to show they were here. God's love, though, is ever and always, eternally present to all who fear him, Making everything right for them and their children as they follow his Covenant ways and remember to do whatever he said. |

Thank you for your post. I am still interested in finding out more of what the scriptures say about His emotions and personality. It is surprising to me that this is not more pronounced in scripture. Perhaps I am who I am and the redemptive names in the old testament can help.

The reason for the question is due to a relationship with a friend who went through a very hard time and we became very close and now that things are better we are not as close. I believe God was using the situation to show me how we deal with God. Up until now I thought because of that one scripture from revelation, that Heaven was La la land and God was having some kind of 24/7 party. Now I think maybe he is and has been feeling pain since the beginning of our creation. In searching scripture though God's personality is not openly displayed. I will look over your scriptures. |
