1 | sept 11 | Ecclesiastes | mrchadly | 27410
alot of people have been having a problem understanding the events of sept. 11. I tell you the truth, thing of horrific nature have been happening for probably as long as man has been on this earth. there will be events just as horrific after that event as well. and to understand this better one has to realize that we cant fully understand the event because we are not meant to. one way to understand this kind of thing better is to read the book of Ecclesiastes. understanding such things is a chasing after the wind. I recently learned how the prophet Isaiah died and it made me sick and stuck in my head all day. that was just as horrific as sept 11. if you want to know how he died email me at mrchadly@yahoo.com I dont think everyone wants to know thats why it's not here. |

2 | what is up with eternity | 2 Peter | mrchadly | 22519
Eternity What exactly is time? Think about it for a minute. Time is made up of seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, and eons. I believe that time is a man made concept. Within a single second many things change. You could walk a little further, the rust on a car gets a little bit worse, and a jet travels so many yards. My point is that you cannot have time without at the same time having change. Thus time cannot without change. In the bible it says (2nd peter 3:8) that a day to us is 1,000 years to God and 1,000 years to us is a day to God. To me this means that God is not limited by time at all, nor is He by time in any way and God simply IS, always. Because time is a man-made concept, after we pass on to eternity, that concept will be no more, thus there will be no such thing as time. Thus we can bring two concepts together. After this life we will be with God for all eternity. In eternity nothing changes, thus time does not exist. This is eternity. No change. No Time. |
