Matthew 5:16-18 King James Version (KJV) 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. |

5 | Are we supposed to observe the Sabbath? | Bible general Archive 2 | manonamission | 236071
Really? How many lay men and women stop to think about passive voice etc when reading the Scriptures? There is no where in the Bible that says the first day is the sabbath. But it does say the seventh day. The fourth commandment is our instruction to keep the Sabbath which is the seventh day of the week which is Saturday. The weekly Calander as far as I can determine has never been changed. The first day of the week is Sunday. Personally I have for years used Sunday as my day of worship and since I have seen the new light about the 1st and 7th day I wonder if I have been breaking the 4th commandment all this time.
