1 | what sabbath does it refer to? | Col 2:16 | jenna | 25618
Thank you.I read a book called Rabbi Jesus. I am half- way done with it. It has such tremendous insight about how Jesus lived. Why he was rejected by many people. Without God, I believe he could not have understood to be with God. God was his father and he found comfort and refuge with him. Just like we are suppssed to do but we all lose the sight of this. Today with everything we have been given, do we really understand how blessed we are??? He was middle class without a father. He was even rejected and casted out of his own temple, until he met John the Baptist. People could not read back then. Jesus' ideals were radical to people back then. I believe his tribulations back then reflected what kind of society we had back then too. Jesus did save us and that if the most precious gift that society takes for granted. Peolpe do feel they can do things without God. People pray and don't understand what they are asking. People fight and don't understand there fight. God wants us to be his children. Jesus only wants goodness for us. I feel that God knew what would happen if we ate the wrong foods. We would get fat. Because we get fat we have health problems and have diabetes,.etc. Any way I am rambling now. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. |

I am not s scholar either. I only seek the knowlegde I am given. I only know that God did not have a calendar abd days of the week. Far as I know there was no clock either. He worked for six days and rested on the seventh. Is praying or helping work? Are we rejoicing for what God Has given us? Are we being thankful? Do we need stop working on a seventh day if someone is having a baby in the hospital or needs medical attention? What I reaaly want to say is not to worry. Did Jesus take a day off and not help those who were in need ?

EdB, Thank You. I have been trying to find out where God wants me. So far I have concluded that it is not always a church or religion. He wants me to be true to myself, my friends, my family. I have explored to churches and the episcopal church was one. I was lost but the pastor was warm and greeted everyone and administered communion individually. He really made everyone included. I have also concluded that I needed to change and let God pick and prune and help me grow. My favorite part is how good I feel. I finally feel honest and humbled. I pray God will continue to work with me. I realized I have worked against him for far far to long. Thank you for responding to my question. God Bless, Jenna |
