3 | Saved but not living for God? | Matt 6:33 | inmyheart | 163349
If you have been saved, why would a person go live in the world, but the word says; Mat 18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? Mat 18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that [sheep], than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. My friend, whoever you are speaking of, God has given us promises that He will not leave us nor foresake us. As you know the things in the world are not everlasting, the backslider is missing the peace of mind, entering the rest of God, the provisions of life, and not to mention the testimony that of a persons life, reflecting the image of God, that the world is hungry for. God bless you and thank you for the question. inmyheart |

5 | Trying to go straight | Rom 12:2 | inmyheart | 162841
If you were saved at 13 then you are saved now. Maturing in the Lord means for us to follow His direction for our life, He takes us from the pit that we were in to a life that will Honor Him. Somewhere in the three years of your salvation you were drawn away, but God loves and He will rescue you from your situation. I would love to dialog with you some more, but I have a responsiblity to this site, when we registered on this site we agreed to the terms, and in part this is what it states: "By registering in these areas, you are representing to The Lockman Foundation that you are at least 18 years old (or the minimum legal age in the jurisdiction in which you are viewing The Restricted Area)." There are many teen support groups in local churches, search it out and find a group that will meet your needs. Talk to your parents and if that is not possible right now, have a talk with your pastor and he may bridge the gap to connect you to your parents. You are not alone, do not let the devil fill your mind with guilt or shame, and whatever you do in life, do it for the Lord. Not everything is beneficall to us, 1 Corinthians 6:12. God bless inmyheart |

6 | Christians/Catholics same? | Rom 3:28 | inmyheart | 162210
How about those Catholic Jews. If a woman was caught in adultery, she was stoned to death! Now that was a little humor. There are Christians in every church, Baptist, Luthern and etc. But the bottom line they will know we are Christians by our love for each other. Dear brothers and sisters, we always thank God for you, as is right, for we are thankful that your faith is flourishing and you are all growing in love for each other. 2Thess.1:3 (NLT) Peace and Love inmyheart |

7 | God sanctions murder of the innocent? | Genesis | inmyheart | 162021
No, I'm not using circular reasoning, I quoted the word of God, and it says, Gen 22:5 Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship AND RETURN TO YOU." (caps to emphasis). The testing of Abraham's faith shows everything, he did not know when God would show up, it just so happened when Abraham was on the downward thrust of the knife that God stopped him. You may even examine your own faith, God may not have responded exactly when you wanted Him to, sometimes it's in that midnight hour, in the last minute of the testing that God shows up. As for me, I'm blessed by that verse, the Bible clearly states that faith comes from hearing.... Romans 10:17. God bless inmyheart 1Cor. 2:5 |

8 | is smoking a sin? | 1 Cor 6:12 | inmyheart | 161393
If smoking is demonic, then so is chocolate cake! Like any addiction, it will be a process (Romans 12:2). When a person is saved, their souls are elevated to a higher standard of living, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), therefore, our minds are now in the process of being renewed to that higher standard of living. The power to change is in the Higher Power, Jesus! God bless inmyheart |

9 | Beleiving and Knowing | 1 Cor 1:21 | inmyheart | 161226

10 | Sexual Sin Follow up | Gen 2:18 | inmyheart | 161134
Thank you for your kind words, but it is by the grace of God that we extend our hands to those who seek the answers to their struggles. 1 Corinthians 6:12 (New Living Translation) You may say, "I am allowed to do anything." But I reply, "Not everything is good for you." And even though "I am allowed to do anything," I must not become a slave to anything. May God continue to bless you as you post here on this site! inmyheart |

12 | Is belief in the bible needed to be save | NT general Archive 1 | inmyheart | 160856
The Bible is the source to find the answer you are looking for. I can't speak for everyone on this site, but for the most part if you are asking a honest question, you will get a honest response, and no one is going to judge you for that. Sometimes a Christian will be the only Bible a non believer will read--2Cr 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:(KJV) You should assume what I quoted 3:5 is in reference to what 3:1-4 is saying! Thank you for replying, and keep on seeking. Jhn 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: Jhn 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. 18 | Is "slain in the Spirit" biblical? | Matt 16:6 | inmyheart | 90706
In 1988, an ORU student named D.R. McConnell published a thesis on the Word of Faith movement that would shock the Christian world (or at least the Christians in America). The title of this book was A Different Gospel. Supposedly, this book revealed the shocking "truth" concerning the origin of the teachings of Essek William Kenyon. This book supposedly revealed that Kenyon's teachings were not influenced by divine revelation or Evangelical Christianity, but by Christian Science and other Metaphysical influences. The premise of the book was this: First prove that E.W. Kenyon had metaphysical and cultic influences in his writings and teachings. Then show that well known Faith teacher, Kenneth Hagin Sr., whom so many believed was the father of the modern day faith movement, to have plagiarized Kenyon's writings. If you can do that then you have made Kenyon the true father of the modern day faith movement. By making Kenyon the true father of the modern day faith movement, you can then prove that the whole movement is cultic and heretical. This book was a great weapon in the hands of those who already had a bone to pick with the modern day faith teachers. Now they had research and scholarship on their side. This book was considered to be THE book to reference if one desired to receive accurate information on this movement. That is, until Hendrik Hanegraaf came out with his landmark book, Christianity In Crisis. Now those who opposed this movement had two weapons in their hands to confront those smart aleck, cocky Word of Faith people. I will only quote from one more source. Dr. Frederick K.C. Price, the pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center in California has also suffered false accusations and misunderstandings from the critics of the faith movement. However, in his book, How Faith Works, Dr. Price took the time to explain the differences between Bible faith and the teaching of cults such as Christian Science. Dr. Price relates in his book about a battle he had with a tumor on his chest. He went though surgery to have it removed but some of it had already spread and started growing back. He decided this time to stand on the Bible and trust God for his healing. Dr. Price began quoting Matthew 8:17 and 1 Peter 2:24 to himself.. He went through some trials as the tumor seemingly got worse. Nevertheless, Dr. Price continued declaring God's Word. Eventually his faith was rewarded (Heb. 11:6). During the testimony, which is in much more detail in his book than what I have related, Dr. Price said this: I never went around saying I didn't hurt when in fact I did hurt. If you do that you're getting over into the realm of Christian Science and the mind science religions. You're saying the thing doesn't exist. I've never said it wasn't there. I never said the thing wasn't hurting. I didn't say anything about it at all. I ignored it. I only talked about what I believed. And I said, "I believe that I am well. I believe that I am healed." I did believe because the Word of the Lord said to believe that I receive and I'd have it. This book was first written in 1976, long before the accusations that have been leveled against the faith teachers. I personally believe that the critics of faith teaching were on an agenda, one which was not from God. God bless |
